One of the best versions of War Pigs I've ever heard from a band other than Sabbath.
They absolutely kill it here. Great cover. Zakk having played the song likely hundreds of times with Ozzy, and Newstead's own brief stint with him probably helped this be so unbelievably tight. This is an awesome group of talent.

Yeah, those 'gimmicky squeaks' as some cat here said were not gimmicky when Zakk first started doing them back his early days w/ Ozzy. Anyone can go back and listen to any live performances of him playing old Ozzy and Sabbath songs from back then and he played it just like this. God forbid someone doesn't just play something exactly like the record or the guys that came before him. People are such morons.
He could have played it with Ozzy for 20 decades, the pitch harmonics still sound terrible on this song.

I love corey taylor, first of all he has got to have one of the best personalities of any celebrity,. He's always somewhere doing covers ,and i say that because , I'm the genius that doesn't know what's really going on, but always playing with the crowd and he does have a pretty damn awesome voice, ! I hope to see him in concert somewhere some day

Zakk is one of the BEST attack shredders to walk the earth, you don't get to be the lead guitarist for Ozzy unless you are, period. I mean sure, he doesn't play smooth, or transition smoothly, but that's Exactly what makes him unique. He can shred with Full aggression AND do it at the speed of light...98% of guitarists can't shred in repetition for more than a few seconds without falling all over the place, dropping out of rhythm, etc. This is a statistical FACT...watch Steve Steins guitar lessons, a fellow metal instructor on UA-cam....the QUICKEST way to expose someone's Lack of proper guitar training, is to throw them into a 4 finger Riff on the pentatonic scale at FULL BORE, and see how long you can last! 98% of people CANNOT do it more than a few seconds at Best. Everyone thinks they can, but when you're actually pressed to do it, you're gonna fall flat, guaranteed, unless you took Advanced Guitar lessons.
Mike Fu you are 100% correct. I've never been a huge fan of Zakk but you can't doubt his abilities. Technical ability isn't everything, a lot to me comes down to feel and pick attack and he has it whether people like to admit it or not.

Just look at creeping death live from Moscow,the singing is not good or clean in any form. BUT,look at him, he's got the same energy as a frikkin volcano.
