What was so ironic was the level of integrity and wits of inmates toward each other. As a matter of fact, he needs to do a TED Talk, and most definitely speak at middle and high schools to help these young people who are heading or contemplating heading down the wrong path. I can only imagine the full depth of what he's seen and experienced as he's giving us the "nice" version of his experiences over the past 33 years. I pray that the rest of his days are fruitful and blessed IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!!!

I’d love to see Joe draw a cartoon of Banky and the 80 year old crazy white dude with the faded black belt... loved hearing these stories. I’m so glad Banky makes sure that he let’s kids know that prison isn’t cool or the place to go.

Tay I love Darnell and his positive energy. But here is the thing with children, I know this because I have 3, 2 young adults and 1 teenager. And sometimes they don’t listen to mom’s and pop’s. But they may listen to someone who is living a positive life but went through a lot. Kids are funny like that. I remember being the same way. Now as an adult, I realize how smart my parents were. But when I was a teenager and young adult, I didn’t think they understood me. But what is wrong with a person who wants to make amends for something terrible they did in their life? Nobody is perfect, so do you want people to only judge you for the worst thing you did in life? Someone like Banky can help kids learn they can pick a different path. That they don’t have to go the path he went. Banky made some horrible choices, and he paid a steep price. But what if he got through to just 10 kids. And those 10 kids got through to 10 kids. And on and on...
With Darnell, his story is about police abuse, racism, and tragedy. There is no reason that it should take that long to test DNA! I know of several cases where men are on death row. They have DNA that remains untested. And they will most likely be murdered by the state. And the DNA never tested. And the DA is fighting and blocking for the DNA to be tested. Now that is what is wrong with our society! And each of these men have set on death row for 20-30 years! I know of other men and women who have been in prison and I have read their cases and they are in prison on flimsy eye witness testimony and on some there is just weak circumstantial evidence. So if you want to harp on what’s wrong with society, try putting the work to help people get their cases heard instead of complaining on a UA-cam channel...🤷🏼‍♀️

Well then he shouldn’t have done the crime that landed him in prison. Lots of intelligent, articulate, well groomed and well spoken people end up in prison. Hell even wealthy people end up in prison.. if you commit a serious crime and get busted for it then that’s where you go.

@@skyjack8541 Service men aren’t dumb. They are the reason you don’t have to worry about protecting yourself day in and out. They handle the ugly aspects of humanity that most pretend doesn’t exist in order to maintain power and order. My husband is a cop and they as well handle the harshness of the reality that most are too cowardly to deal with. Women aren’t dumb in fact you wouldn’t be here without a woman sacrificing her body, when she could’ve aborted you.
