I did 18 months in Frederick county. I was in J block, and stayed in one of the corner cells. it was bigger than the regular ones. I was also on the 2nd level. I worked in the kitchen, so i ate really as much as i wanted. We had hot showers, TV, allowed phone calls and pictures, had a bible study, annd the correctional officers there were all really coool. I was a heroin addict for 14 years. I still have my Frederick county jail inmate card. i was there when i was 25-27 years old. im 37 now, and live in Florida. Im 8 years sober, and have my life back. I also, would have more clothes than i was supposed to lol, and lots of Playboy magazines. I used my time there to get in good shape, get sober, listen to the people who gave good , whole some advice, and still have friendships with some of the people i met there to this day. Sadly, some of the people I knew when i was there died from fentanyl. Thank you God i got away from that stuff. Baltimore ruined me for 14 years.

When we got there a cop was smoking outside and asked if we needed something. My friend told him who he was and turned around to be handcuffed. Another cop came out and started talking to me. I told him my friend couldn't drive so I brought him. The cop of course asked me if I had any warrants or had been in any trouble. I laughed and told the cop I didn't do stupid stuff. He started laughing and shook my hand. I really thought at first he was going to try to arrest me, it was 1:30 AM. When my friend got out he said it was like a highschool reunion and even had family he hadn't seen in years in there. He said everyone got along for the most part but there were arguments over card games. He said the officers put an end to them quickly.

Really not that simple. Our laws are set up where we can't even go to work without breaking several laws weather we recognize it or not. We need a revamp of the system since some petty crimes get more harsh punishment then some felonies. For every law they add they need to remove 2....maybe that will help. I find it funny when some say "I know the law" really? Which one? As the police, attorneys and judges don't even know them and often get them wrong.

Except it isn't that simple. Not everyone is guilty. Many can't afford a good lawyer and plead guilty to avoid a long sentence. Hopefully you never have to be in that position because you won't like it.

US system is completely fxcked up. The guards and cops have an ego as big as Jupiter. Glad I don't live in the country of the "brave".

Oh boy oh boy..... It's way more complicated than that. Obviously don't be a criminal but you can very easily be charged for something you did not do. Happens every day!!!

i think the "no music" rule is a bit harsh. Otherwise it seems like well run prison.

This sheriff is a total joke. He likens himself to a gladiator in an election. What fairytale world is he living in? An election? An election isn’t 1/1,000,000th of what a gladiator did. Not even in the same galaxy. What a joke. He’s the gladiator that walks into the arena with his opponents in chains, and behind locked doors. Get real. It’s necessary, but don’t go making yourself seem hard. You’re a glorified babysitter that gets to lock your children in their rooms when they misbehave. Even babysitters don’t have it that easy. Any moment that these inmates choose, he’ll be reduced to a sniveling baby. The inmates are the gladiators in the arena. They’re the ones literally fighting for their lives, not this phony.

@@SJC49 nice people get locked up too. People make mistakes. Hell there’s probably just as many ex cons out here living righteously than there are good people who aren’t actually judge mental pos.
