I have been using the oxide inks by dabbing a wadded up saran wrap in fine spray of water and then dabbing it on ink and then putting it on my background. Turns out very nice and gives great effects to the paper but not too much water run off. I did it with butterflies and it looks great.
I noticed that my mini inks don't blend well at all! And I am using the round tool...could it be the paper I'm using? It's just regular card stock from Michaels.
The foam dauber bit of my distress paints have hardened and I now can't get the paint out by dabbing it. Is there any way I can refresh it? The paint itself is still usable. They are rather old now - about 4 years old.
Distress Inks are designed to work with water. Regular inks sometimes break down if you spray them with water. Therefore you can do a lot of techniques using Distress Inks that you can't with other inks.

Love your videos, I just ordered my first Distress Inks :) But how do you clean the blending tools?
The foam is removable and run it under water in your sink to wash out the ink.

You can try popping it off and cleaning it. Otherwise, you can buy new dabbers to add to your bottles if you want.
Thanks. Will try it.
Why is stuff so expensive in the UK.
What's the difference between Distress inks and Regular inks?
