I already like what I’m seeing from JJ Reddick’s system. Everyone touches the ball and every player were used to their strengths. He’s not a “give the ball to Bron or AD” guy. AD had a monster game because he was getting the touches he deserves. And he actually rotates his players. Lebron didn’t need to score 40 just to win. DLo was facilitating very well and being used in pick and rolls.
He is already a massive upgrade to Ham

What's wild to me is what stood out the most is jj Reddick. I haven't seen a Lakers team this ready opening game in a long time. His rotations were on point. Timeouts on point. Any time Minnesota even started a comeback he got the team focused. He was on point with everything all night long. He was loud , and tenacious with the refs , more than he ever was as a player. This might be a big year for la if and only IF ad can do this all year. If he can they will be a problem. As a Lakers fan I'm excited. I onow it was just a single game but as already stated. He had them ready. He had them focused. He had them crashing the boards. Had them taking good clean shots. Very impressive coaching debut imo

You nailed it exactly. The trade made sense for Knicks, but not for Wolves. And Knecht alongside second team just need to hold water for starters to rest/next rotation and he's been excellent with his role. JJ put down a structure and system, something Lakers haven't seen in awhile

Randle looked lost in most plays. DiVincenzo was good but couldn't convert plays.
Compare that to LAL's role players which contributed a lot.
Hachimura has improved, showing plenty of highlights.

Lakers looking good, but shots were falling for them. They have room for improvement, but definetely look better than last year. Fun to watch, good playstyle. JJ Reddick is going to make a difference in a positive direction for them this year it seems. I really like how everyone is involved and happy to play off of eachother! If they stay healthy its gonna be a good season for the Lakers imho.

Stats won’t show how Deangelo controlled the tempo of the whole game. Great floor game. He was a +15 and Rui a +19. Never seen Deangelo have a chance to control tempo with prior Laker systems. Let’s see if this holds. (Heat Fan here: so completely an outside observation - perspective)

What made wolves strong was the twin towers, 1 for defense 1 for offense. Gobert can't be a high level defensive player while also facilitating height on the other end. This is also why Nuggets lost to them. They have the height on both ends. Ball movement from lakers looks great. Thanks JJ
