I don’t understand your reasoning, because you talk about saving around $200. But a tv you buy once in 5 years, some even 8 years. Those $200 is nothing if you look at the total timeframe. Same for products a a bed where you sleep. It’s not that you buy shoes or something. It’s a thing you use EVERYDAY, the next 3 to 8 years. Get the best!
Depending on the size you chose, the 65inch samsung is 500$+tax more expensive which is not a small amount.
Yeah and especially if you can get an amazing deal on the best TV of 2021 for almost half the price like I did 77 C1 for 2399
That’s my thing with TVs, it’s the form of tech that’s gonna last me probably the longest, longer than whatever version of phone or laptop I’m using. I’ll pay the premium for the best
Absolutely seriously.. the QD-OLED is the way to go is newer Tech. Crying for $200 dollars lol
@@FenixPajarito No Dolby Vision support. The Samsung is in my opinion a complete and total rip off.
I like the Samsung better. My next TV in 2023.
I got the Samsung QN 95B Series 9 2022, and in fact I returned it.
In six months of use it was deemed irreparable.
Perfectible colors, except with NETFLIX, and again. Tizen the operating system crashes, or the tv does not turn on (unless you remove the power plug ten times...). Also pitiful service, and perfectible product that smells there can be close. I regret this purchase and I had to fight to win my case (reimbursement) because the TV was declared irreparable by the after-sales service, after 6 interventions on this television. So just run away
I ordered the LG OLEDC2 which arrives at the end of the week Stay tuned
Lol Cinema mode sucks on the C2 why would you make this the review standard lol? It’s so dim.
3:39 The white dog looks green on the LG. What's up with that?
Samsung S95B vs G2 is a better comparison
Sooooo many channels are comparing s95b and C2 and I have no idea why. The G2 is the obvious competitor not the C2… starting to get a bit annoying tbh lol
The reason for the difference in Stranger Things (and possibly other examples) is due to that show being Dolby Vision, and the Samsung S95B not supporting Dolby Vision. When watching it on the Samsung you're getting a standard HDR10 experience instead.
I was wondering about that too, as it seemed like it is the obvious thing here. Is this guy really comparing a dolby vision sense on an hdr10+ TV comparing it with with a dolby vision supported TV!! And claiming his review is unbiased!!
This is exactly what sells me on the C2 over the s95.
I just bought the S95B after seeing them both in the flesh, at the same price. Obviously I couldn’t calibrate it in the shop, but there was something about the LG that I didn’t like. It appears almost cartoony compared to the rich depth of the Samsung. Some people may prefer this look, because some people do prefer Pepsi to Coke.
If you’re considering either of these panels, deffo go see them in person first because they are very different out of the box.
C2 is a monster once calibrated
same as you, I standed in froint of the 2 65 inch TV, I see a huge difference and best colors and dark on samsung
Exactly the opposite lg has real life look
Summary :
- Samsung : Brighter and more detailed, may need to adjust brightness sometimes
- LG : Better contrast and saturation, may need to adjust the warmth.
This side by side review format is great. Its often hard to picture what someone means when they say "X is brighter than Y" and whether I could notice the difference or express a preference. I hope you will do more in his format, and possibly add in some pc gaming time as well.
LG C2 has too much green tint. The snow is green, dog is green, you can see it in almost every scene. I wanted to buy it but after this video, I have given up.
This is not true at all look at other youtubers. Looks like he do this on purpose.
One of my colleagues bought C2 and after calibration the green tint dissapeared, right now (as he said to me), white is white. I am still considering C2, but also thinking about G2 or maybe Sony A95k
Is the green tint as bad as that in person or is it the tech. The black and white scenes look so much better on the s95. I've always thought my old plasma had more natural colours than my oled and I think this confirms it
@@pawejaciow411 you're deciding between a 900 dollar tv and a 3000 dollar tv?

@@tonysun3707 back of a lorry job 😉
noones talking about qualitiy, only the price, lol
My takeaway: The technology Samsung is using is superior, but the software isn't maxed out yet. LG is using a technically inferior and older technology, but a more mature processor. Ultimately, I believe QD-Oled will come out ahead, but it might be a few generations away. I'm going to stick with LG for this cycle, but I applaud the competition.
Great video!
As a C1 owner for almost a year now, the extra blue can be solved by turning the colors warmth down to warm 50 instead of the default. That will get the colors to a more realistic color tone on the LG. I understand this is an uncalibrated review, however, I think anyone looking to purchase a TV in 2022 needs to understand that some calibration, however miniscule, will be required for certain content. Being a gamer, this calibration is definitely needed regardless of tv purchased. I have calibrated my older Samsung 6 series even. I used it since 2017, about 4 years, before I got the C1 last year. All tvs will have different settings based on content being viewed as well and need to be adjusted accordingly for the optimal viewing experience. Whether that be SD, HD (with or without HDR), or Dolby Vision. Most of which can be done at home following a Google search or UA-cam video. No need to fork over that extra money for someone else to do this work for you.
Period.
I can get a 65” C1 for $1,300 or the S95B for 2k. Is it worth spending the extra money?
@@Jackboy497 it's all in personal preference. Obviously, I am a little bias being a C1 owner. It is the best TV I have ever owned, hands down. If you are a gamer and the TV will not be in a very bright space any OLED will be great. The viewing angle for OLEDs are amazing too and I didn't even realize how much better they are until visiting a friend's house and watching how the picture changed on his non-OLED based on my positioning around the TV.
@@debstrickland thank you!!
@@Afroman_Gaming thank you!!
You should not compare 2 TV models without picture calibration. In your test, the image on LG has a green tint, but on a different copy, from a different batch or from a different factory, the image may be factory calibrated completely differently and the green color will not be there.
I'm pretty sure the green tinge is a camera thing not how the tv actually looks
I bought the LG OLED C2 77" last week and it's absolutely amazing, and my sons, who are big time gamers, are loving it.
With the Samsung pushing the brightness will it ware out the panel quicker
Time will tell, fingers crossed!
No it's new technology QD Oled is more efficient so it will last longer
I have LG OLDEC C2, I just love it. The black and dark colors in your screen doesn't look normal, they are greenish so you must have some color issue somewhere in your parameters.
Nope, just take the L. Samsung S95b is just better overal
It's set in Filmmaker mode. Cinema mode would be my preferred picture setting although the Standard mode would be much closer to the Samsung. In reality it's whether you prefer the extra brightness of the 95B or contrast of the C2.
I just prefer Samsung TVs.I am looking at a new 65 inch.
As a former CET, I wouldn't touch a Samsung television.
You really need to get a better understanding of what a natural image looks like. The S95B is wildly inaccurate, in terms of tone mapping and colour accuracy. The amount of detail being clipped in these scenes is insane. LG C2 wins this one for me easily.
Right now the price difference is 100€ in my country.
The only thing holding me back is S95B flimsy built and scare of it coming bent...
And that silver edge. Although that is easily fixed by some diy efforts😅
They are the same price where I live today. The missing Dolby Vision on the Samsung is a deal breaker for me.
Still have to watch the Samsung in real life. What holds me back is the price and from what I heard the build quality. Comparing to a G2 would be more fair. But than again I would wait for black Friday for a deal on the C2 as show here the difference is not big enough. Gaming wise I think the LG is better equipped.
Thanks for the video!
Don’t forget you can calibrate the Samsung with your smartphone using professional mode to get even better optimisation of colours and push the TV to its max potential
@@Onlyy_david ua-cam.com/video/rhto9MmiExE/v-deo.html
S95b made c2 look like an lcd tv with blue tint
I got the Samsung and LG OLED. Ended up returning the Samsung due to insane issues bending , laggy os, extremely saturated or extremely washed out colors, raised blacks due to ambient light. It felt like an unfinished product. LG has been phenomenal the colors are amazing and the picture is beautiful but it does require some calibration! I prefer the picture of the LG over the S95B, besides the brightness is more than enough for my room.
😢 I read all over Reddit people complaining about the Samsung QD OLED has many issues. 😢 this is bummer because in paper it’s an amazing TV.
Tizen is just a bad tv OS. I have noticed many issues with my old 82 inch Samsung tv and my friends s95b. Their TV just don't last like LG or Sony.
@@KingMoeJo it was samsungs first OLED with the qled tech, ofcourse its gonna have problems.
@@XxNoMercyNL 95C is out, hopefully they corrected those "issues".
Thanks for the input!
Both are premium quality models and from my opinion both have their strengths and weaknesses but not enough to make either a better tv than the other.
Got the Samsung S95B for almost one month and i simply love it. But i do agree about the Samsung menu interface is horrible, snappy but ugly. It doesnt look as premium as the LG or Sony's menu interface. But the picture quality overall is next level as we can see here. No more that blue filter which i disliked alot about oleds
take some time and edit the whole menu to your liking believe me your going to be fascinated how big of a difference it makes remove all the unwanted stuff and settings from the main ribbon
Are you still satisfied with it? Looking to buy the samsung atm..
@@miovader The S95B TV is still standing strong vs the 2023 tv's as far ive seen on UA-cam. Picture quality is top notch after heavy use of gaming and UA-cam streaming. You will not be disappointed with this one
I picked up the Sammy to give it a try. It's incredible. In person it's vibrant and breathtaking. The UI kind of blows, but having a solar/usb C remote is cool.
All new TV's have HORRIBLE UI's now. It sucks. I prefer it to be simple like back in the day. I just got the new LG 65" QNED85 series but I'm so debating on getting the C2....ugh I dunno if I should return it and spend the $400 or not. The QNED is good the price at $1400. Not as good as ur Samsung but it is great.
@Wom Bat It does look good, but if you want the best of LG, the C2 is a beast. If the Samsung doesn't pan out, I'll get that one for sure.
@@mariomario7379 I legit just exchanged it for the C2. I've had it for about 2 hours now. Yeah, it's incredible. I do sort of miss some of the brightness but I think I'm ultimately happy with the C2. The QNED85 was great but I still kept seeing sort of that blooming, the light mixing in with the true blacks. I'm more of an OLED guy I guess.
This Samsung for only $200 more was VERY tempting but I honestly don't think you'd really be able to tell much of a difference. This C2 does actually get pretty bright. I'm very surprised.
@Wom Bat Not a bad choice at all. Welcome to team OLED. May that tv serve you well. Happy watching and gaming.
@@wombat5252 I think LG still has the best UI. My CX really doesnt have much clutter at all
Yo there is something not right with 1 of your settings on the lg. There is a green filter on it. Even the dog etc his hairs looks green. All colours are messed up white is not even white. Use standard mode and not film maker mode. It is totally not fair
I agree with you about the bloat on the Samsung.
Also the lack of button on the remote to bring up the (UK) Freeview guide is annoying.
I had to buy an older style Samsung remote to get that to work.
Today, 55" price is the same in Sweden. And now its also clear that S95B has burn in, and C2 dosent. So I will get the C2 :) ...I prefer no burn in than a little brighter tv.
been watching all sorts of these reviews, as I'm in the market for a new TV, now in most UK stores the Samsung S95b is £100 cheaper than the LG C2, this now seems like a no brainer. Even with the risk of adopting early tech, the Samsung seems the better option.
Not for me. I bought the LG OLED C2 77" last week ( November 22) and I absolutely love it.
@@michaelmartin4366 nice mate, I actualy went into a store and looked at these TVs first hand, I actualy preferred the C2 in a side by side comparison, however the qn90b caught my eye untill then it was completely off my radar. Beautiful picture in the store environment, great colours, and £200 cheaper than the other 2, so I bought that instead, should be coming 27th December.
@@supercharger84 How are you liking the qn90b? I'm in the market for a TV in Berlin and same story, the S95B is 150EUR cheaper than the LG C2. But online, the qn90b is even 100 less than the S95B, so thought about your option as well. The thing is I cannot find it in a shop for a real comparison.
@@artturo in the short time I've had it, I'm actualy shocked at the difference between the qn90b and my old 4k, especially when it comes to gaming on my ps5, colour especially is just fantastic, probably a bit over saturated for some right out of the box, but I just find it incredible. We moved our old 4k up into the bedroom, when we watch TV in bed, the picture looks so dull by comparison. I would say at the moment I'm a very happy customer.
I've had two lg oleds now the cx and the c1 and I have had problems with artifacting on both right out of the box so when the Samsung s95b finally released in canada after doing alot of homework on it finally started going into stores to take a look at it and see if I wanna upgrade while doing that at 2 out of the 3 stores I went to and spoke with the department managers while trying it out they both said since the beginning of the pandemic there quality on the lg oled panels has gone down drastically and there constantly dealing with returns from panel issues and no returns on the Samsung due to technical issues
In that case Samsung did good job out of box colour accuracy vs LG. LG need a good tweak pretty much so to fix the green and cyan cast. But I like LG due to polariser filter is used so the reflection is a lot less distraction than Samsung. Samsung has not got it so it is very distracting with pinkish on screen when light source is front of tv or windows in front of tv.
What are you talking about. My bedroom window is directly in front of my s95b and there's very little reflection at all.
I dont suffer with reflection issues and i have windows everywhere, no raised blacks either. Weird one you see it.
Pinkish on screen will still be there if you have light on in front of screen or windows. Thats still an issue problem. It lose contrast and looks hazy.
There are LOT MORE DETAILED in shades on Samsung! I think it worth the extra $300! Plus better coloring, Especially for gaming!
I just bought the B2 then ordered the C2 right after for brightness and 4 HDMI 2.1 PORTS! I went with the C2 because it ✅ all the X BOX X settings I’ve always wanted that. While Samsung doesn’t have Dolby Vision so that will be left ❌. As a gamer I would regret that so I’m sticking w the C2 maybe next year something brighter comes w Q Oled by LG, I just can’t do Samsung. Worst buggy software, I’ll upgrade but coming from an Insignia F50 recently! I’m making a great decision. EVO panel + DV for the win! #TeamLGC2
if you want QD OLED panel with DV buy Sony TV ;) A95K
S95b, got 3 dead pixels and returned it. Check for dead pixels (using test videos) as soon as you buy an expensive TV.
Thank you very much for this usefull review, but in my opinion LG C2 is better than Samsung in matter of color palette. For me the most important thing is color fidelity.I watched carefull on your video and Samsung is brighter and LG is better on colors. Also I saw both of them in a local store side by side and LG definitively is better on colors matters.I will wait for black friday for extra discount.
In my experience the build quality of Samsung is clearly inferior. This is across the board, tv’s , phones, tablets, washing machines, refrigerators, you name it. Samsung uses plastics where LG uses metal parts in most cases.. this has been my observations.
Excellent review. I was going to go for Samsung because of the software which was amazing on the QLED, but it seems they made it worse and surprisingly LG seems to have a smoother UI... Sigh.
An LG mini led wont disappoint
love the old samsung os too
Samsung junk, I had a brand new Samsung tv hardly used and it went out flickering screen. Lg is the way to go, these tv last long
It's not that the C2 is bad, it's just that the S95B is so much better.
With no Dolby Vision support. Right.
@@classicgalactica5879 Dolby Vision is absolute garbage on some TVs.
I tried to watch "Haunting of Hill house" on Netflix. And it was EXTREMELY dark in Dolby Vision, both versions on my Sony 950H.. On my 900E that only has HDR10. It was crystal clear and actually viewable.
I was totally dumbfounded with how unwatchable it was, no brightness at all. Even though everything cranked to the max and the 950H is higher nits than 900E.
Dolby vision is a hit and miss. Especially on Sony TVs.
Also in most shows it just act as a "Dynamic tone mapping" like most TVs have internally anyway. It's just pre-baked in the footage.
ONLY really properly made DV shows are good in DV. When they manually go over scene by scene to grade the color and brightness etc.
I am almost afraid of getting a Sony next year if DV is that bad. It was shocking how dark it was.
@@loki76 I'm a big movie buff and a fan of physical media. I watch a lot of 4K UHD discs on my LG OLED. The majority of them are encoded with Dolby Vision and most of them look fantastic. Just a few examples: 1917, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part II and Godzilla vs Kong all look amazing in Dolby Vision. My viewing habits are primarily watching 4K UHD discs, a format on which Dolby Vision has become ubiquitous, so it's inclusion in a TV set is to me of paramount importance. I also tend to watch movies in a dimly lit to darkened room for a more theatrical effect and in those lighting conditions, extremely high brightness is actually not conducive to the enjoyment a movie.
Samsung QD OLED more natural? It's oversatured! 😂
Is Dolby Vision missing in the Samsung a big thing?
Yes. It's huge. Dolby Vision has become ubiquitous.
@@classicgalactica5879 it’s not even that many Dolby vision content
If you ever plan on getting an Xbox series x, Dolby vision is not only supported on it, but looks amazing. Over 100 titles support it to date, including Halo Infinite. The s95b has hdr10+, but only regular hdr10 and Dolby vision are supported on the series x.
I bought it a Samsung I don't see shit playing Fortnite when dark scene's appear
Thanks for the great review. I would still consider C2 and do the calibration as it should help with the "green tint". Will you be able to compare S95 with the G2 or C2 and G2?

Genuinely bad review. First of all, who buy a TV this expensive and doesn't at least do some tweaking to the picture? I'm not talking about professional calibration, but adjusting the basic TV settings. You can still get surprisingly accurate settings this way as well. Easy to find them all written down with a simple search. So using out of the box settings is ridiculous and shows a lack of care and standards. Not exactly a good start to a review comparison.
And even in this compressed UA-cam video i can clearly see lots of ugly processing, because again, you're using the awful out of the box settings. Any remotely decent TV reviewer would complain about these things, and immediately disable them, but instead you praise this stuff. One example, the Samsung clearly has blatant haloing (4:44 on the trees outline) from over sharpening, and yet you're praising it, saying it's picking up more detail. This is like when you go into a store and you hear people saying the colours on one TV are better than another... When it's actually the same TV's and one of them just has a higher colour setting. This is basically the level you're on as a TV reviewer so how can i trust any kind of comparison from you. Thank feck we've at least got HDTVTest on here.
It's really hard to choose between getting the C2 vs the S95B. To be honest, I really hate the Tizen OS and I prefer a more simplistic OS.
I dont get all the hate about the S95B Settings Menu. I have owned the Sonys and LG's OLEDs and from my point of view the Samsung has some features I like. I just bought the S95B. I would not say is garbage it's just ok.
Most reviews I’ve seen of the C2 tell that it really needs to be calibrated or at the very least adjusted a lot. Straight out of the box it’s way off ideal. Once calibrated it becomes a totally different beast.
people who really cares about color accuracy always gonna calibrate their tvs, no matter what tv they get, im the same
Yeah. My LG C2 best TV ever. I just needed to set it all. I found it weird that all Settignd were set to low (this is obviously for for all the energy saving, because you need to turn this off to alter most things. I then put the brightness way up. All setting a picture to ultra. Then MY GOD. For me. The LG is the best TV in the marker. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not cheap. £1800 for the 65 inch. But, worth every penny as I was after the best I could get as it was for my Xbox Series X.
Hey guys I can buy the C2 65" and S95B 65" for the same prize. Which one should I pick? I really would love to have the contrast of an OLED, but the TV is going to be placed i the living room so I need the brightness as well.
@@saerdnakaliber472 The S95B picture is the best I've ever seen but the TV is so defective and poorly manufactured that I am now returning it for a C2. It seems like I'm not the only one having these issues with it either.
@@johnwitsch6162 Thats sad, can you tell me what kind of issues and defectes you encountered? I ended up buying the S95B but still have the possibility of returning it.
No mention of the elephant in the room re the Samsung ---- the poor build quality and the resultant lottery of the TV arriving with a bent screen.
Both TVs are excellent. But I understand that the Samsung S95B has a panel called QD-OLED which is the most top and new of the moment but it is designed to avoid burns for $200 to $500 dollars plus which in the future you will realize that you did not vote your money. According to LG the OLED Evo is designed for better energy consumption but nowhere does it say that it will never get LED burn-in in the future while the QD-OLEDs do mention it to you.
I think the smart thing to do is to save $200 to $500 more and lock in your investment 3 to 5 years from now.
LG C2 ed is midrange oled tv from LG . LG G2 is better for comparasion. G2 is highend OLED
@@animals7473 I respect your opinion but to say that an LG C2evo is a mid-range LG is wrong. Since the existence of Oled TVs, there has never been a mid-range or low-end Oled TV, whatever its model or manufacturer. Since calling an OLED it is already known that it is a Top of the Line
Why is everyone ignoring the PINK on Samsung, yet pointing out the BLUE on LG ?
I think the LG has more definition and depth in the details, whereas the Samsung with the extra brightness makes the image appear flat and less defined.
I'm going with the LG
Thank you for the direct comparison.
100% agree with everything you said.
I think there's a very important takeaway from this video. That being, that if you're in the market for a television, then the QDOLED is the one to buy, but if you already own an OLED, there is no reason to replace it with the QDOLED. While there is an obvious difference in brightness between the two, a person would be hard-pressed to notice any difference unless the TVs are sitting side by side.
Now we need Samsung to drop a 75 or 77 inch version and I’m 100% going to buy one.
S95B is incredible.
This is kinda old yet that old saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. many time S95B looked better but it was not night and day. That being said right now Jan 5th 2023 Sb95b $1597 and LG C2 $1446. Yeah I would go for the Sb95b based ONLY on what this video shows. Thanks
Just got the s95b on a very very lucky buy. Open box Excellent - Certified at best buy for 2k + 260 in store credits. Tech with KG compared g2 to s95b and on certain DV content the LG was overly bright. Not in a good way. He shows it actually makes some night scenes unnaturally bright & hazy. It's only some DV content so I wouldn't use that as a buying purchase but s95b on just hdr10 looked cleaner & more natural. I pulled up same scenes on my s95b & got same results.
Could you do a comparison between the c2 and the g2 i wonder which one is the best
Saw them side by side, only a tiny bit difference. You can notice more difference between the C1 and C2 base on the reviews here that I've watched (haven't seen C1 vs C2 next to each other in person, saw C1 before C2 came out though in person).
@@halo-halo9244 ???? G2 has better chip. Big different in motionflow and performance. And brightness reduction after time is gone in the g2
This technology is NEW. We know nothing about fiability. Wait for LG response in few months/years. And Dolby Vision for movies on 4K Blu-ray’s is a must. So no Samsung for me. I keep my CX
LG C2 is midrange oled tv from LG . LG G2 is better for comparasion. G2 is highend OLED
Same result. Samsung s95b still wins.
@@SDGRTX1455 With no Dolby Vision support. Okay.
had a lg cx got rid of it for a lg c2..got rid of the lg c2 for a s95b now I’m good
I was planning to do that too, from CX to C2
Then I compared in store with A80J...went home with the Sony it's a marked step up
I agree with your assessment. At the 65” size, the Samsung is 30% more expensive in the U.S. That is substantial. On a separate point, are you sure that there is not a problem with your review model of the C2. The green and blue tint that it exhibits seems excessive, at least compared with my C1 (which is not the same TV to be sure, but neither is it terribly different).
Out of the box the samsung is just better calibrated, and c2 horrible. No way blacks look better on qled and colors more natural. They look artificial.
Thing is the c2 OS is made for professional calibration, it has a wide range if tools, even statistics for nerds.
So much missing from this comparison feel like more should of been mentioned besides the brightness and colours of the screen. Since they can be close and both great. What about the gaming features of both? Or the response time? The better web browser & remote? Ports? Price ect
Why does the LG look so bad in this video?
The Samsung uses dynamic tone mapping and edge enhancement even when the settings are turned off
And looks amazing
@@NexGenTek The point is you can turn it on with the C2 also.
If it was possible to get the source code, we could make a custom firmware, I'd custom my TV for PLEX and Gaming and remove Everything else as I don't watch TV itself!
Got S95B for little over £1100 so worth it for me.
Why are the TVs in your country so cheap? In my country it woud cost more that 2x that price. 😭
@@halo-halo9244 Was originally £1799 but used discount codes, cashback, and exchanged my old TV to reduce the price. UK prices aren't usually this good though, most of the time they're worse than US.
@@henrywinters9496 oh I see, same here, though we don't have the S95B but comparing other TV prices in the US, TV prices here are like at least 1.5x more expensive. The A95K 55" cost US$3820 or £3140, not sure if it's the same price in your place.
@@halo-halo9244 £2700 for us, damn lol. A95k looks better than S95b but I'm not willing to pay that premium right now.
@@henrywinters9496 where did you get your tv from mate
The video should compare the LG G2 to the 95b. Oddly enough, this LG is poorly calibrated because on my LGC2 55C the image is razor sharp
Wow I didn't know this wasn't with the pre update. Huge difference before and even after. Amazing tech
The difference between the two is only noticeable when they are side by side… on they own you are not able to se any difference, LG wins in value, imo
C2 more accurate colour. S95B over boost colour and unnatural tone mapping.
It's amazing how he makes a big deal about the 400 GBP price difference but doesn't say which one costs 400 GBP more.
Looking at your video through my monitor, I much prefer the colors and overall picture of the Samsung. The LG just looks muddy with blue in a lot of the shots. The biggest difference was the Stranger Things scene which I'm on the fence about. Regardless, I'm glad there is finally a competitor to LG. Competition helps the consumer. I think I'm going to buy the Samsung as right now the difference between the two is only 10% in the US. Thanks for the video!
Lg had no competition? sony and lg have dominated the Oled area until now. Also, if you buy from the sony master series, you get the tv already calibrated out of the box, lg or samsung don't offer that, you have to spend hours calibrating, which I find extremely annoying.
@@Thor86- Honestly, spending all that hard earned money (it was hard earned??) on an expensive TV and NOT spending 'a little time' optimising it is just...sad...embarrassing...shocking.
every time im trying to film the tv with my phone i end up with some blue effect on the screen. this blue color effect is only noticable when you taking video with your phone or camera.
@@ChrisM541 i like to think that every individual knows the value of their OWN earned money AND of their own time... so THEY will decide what they have or dont have to do when they buy a TV.
For me is embarassing....sad...and shocking to see someone trying to shame others because of something like this.
@@Zero1k97 not always, i had a notebook with this blue effect and it was quite visible...the thing is, when i had a full colored image its was very hard to notice...it was more noticeable with white or bright images on the screen.
just watched a QD OLED in a store with lights around, the black did not seem as dark as other OLED : it seems there a layer which diffuses external light or something... this test doesn't show any problem in the QDOLED black (test in full dark I guess)
Excellent video, I agree that the IOS for the S95B is hot garbage. However, as someone that owned an LG C2 and returned it to get an S95B, I am happier with the S95B and I would not switch back. I will say if you’re someone that IOS functionality is a major part of your TV purchasing decision then go LG C2. In the US I paid an extra $300, I could not agree more that your individual financial situation plays a huge role in whether or not you should purchase either Tv.
what you are seeyinng on the C2 that BLUE light is on ( that is standard in LG when you buy it) if he put it on natural the lg wouldn´t be so blueish
@@bboa7156 oh was wondering why. thx
Just get a apple tv 4k, using the tv ios is not an option
@@BigDavos Yes, but sometimes you want quick access to change picture settings Vivid, normal etc...
I bought the LG. I sold it in 2 months. Many issues not reported by influencers. My Samsung is better
Also, the reason why the LG looks brighter in some scenes is because around 600 nits it doesn't track the SD2084 PQ standard accurately. It's boosts the brightness to look more appealing to consumers.
I thought G2 has peak brightness around 500nits and S95B around 1000nits. Isn't the difference huge?
@@JoonKimDMD wrong. Watch the linus tech review. It’s over 900.
Lg oled the best
YES
Could you make a LG C2 optimization video on how to make the overall image look more realistic?
lg on vivid is where its at I played with this tv too much only use filmmaker mode with older films
After reading extensive independent reviews, including physically seeing both of them at my local currys store, I decided to go for the Samsung S95b. Picture and sound is just amazing.
Sure bot.
In some cases you can see a huge difference between one to each other due to the HDR standard that are displaying, not for the TV processing, the display technology, calibration and gamma.
One perfect example is the Stranger Things scene 5:57. This scene, on the left, is being displayed in HDR 10 in the Samsung S95B and on the right side for the LG C2 in Dolby Vision. There are two different versions, with one dedicated grading for each of them. In this case, they look far different.
Filmmaker mode on the LG makes the image quality less than optimal when performing comparison tests. It would be nice to to see tests performed with the setting most users will actually use, standard mode. Much brighter and more natural looking picture, imo.
Thats universal in most tvs. Netflix mode film makers mode are all dark dull and lack the pop you would expect. Which is why i always laugh when tv enthusiasts say "thats the way the film makers wanted it to look" to justify a shit picture. End of the day go with what you like. No 4k signal is universal and you will get a different looking picture depending on streaming service.
Why? That's what he used on the s95b lol both in there accurate modes is how it should be tested. You test the modes that track the wotf curve better it's just Samsung can get to a higher peak without clipping that's all lol. The craziest part is Samsung really hurt it with there last update. it hurt the brightness and color.
The standard mode is too contrasted and too bright.
@@rover5058 I mean imo all tvs in standard mode is that way. You shouldn't be watching in standard mode. It's eotf is horrible. As you said overly bright and that's true. It clips out detail and just doesn't look good!
I watch 1080 sky TV on standard and it looks great.
Samsung is a budget tv for a reason. Heard about many panel issues on Reddit. Especially the 65”
I had both Samsung far better,I had a problem with every lg Oled tv that after a while it would power off on its own, I knocked off all timers etc but still happening on all lg tvs had the Samsung one for 2 weeks and haven’t had one bit of trouble with it
For some reason LG to me always looks natural, The only downside I see is brightness or perhaps the burn in issue I might face.
Great comparison. Will stick with my 77 inch c1. But I am glad more options are coming out. It will be fun to upgrade in a few years.
Wow. 77inch. nice. I'm thinking of 65inch. wish I could go for 77 but it's expensive
The thing that isn’t showcased is I’m getting my g2 next week because of one reason. QD-Oleds are stuck at 65” and my 83” is gonna be a lot cooler in my living room
You don’t need to think…The last 3-4 years LG are one step ahead from all TVs…This Dolby Vision is something else! Just amazing
I JUST got the new LG QNED85 65". I love it but I really want the C2...you think it's worth the extra $400? The QNED is great though at only $1400.
@@wombat5252 Yes, of course, it's worth it... I've owned a LG OLED for 4 years... I've also recommended it to 3 friends and they bought the c2 evo 65" and they're very happy... The dolby vision is like cinema the shades are incredible and the black is from another planet! Trust and you won't lose!
@@Ioulianos94. Thanks for the reply. You don't have any burn in?!?! I'm so worried about the burn in because there are times where I might forget that I have the TV on for upwards of 10-12 hours. Would that cause burn in you think? Especially if left on a news channel with a banner? It's still $400 though I don't feel like spending but...I've always wanted and OLED and honestly I can't complain about my QNED85 . However I do notice the blooming affect once in a while. It's slight but enough for me personally to notice. Great TV but the OLED colors always stun me.
@@wombat5252 it's true... If you don't turn off the TV, you might get a problem if you have it for 10-12 hours... You have to turn it off to refresh the pixels at least after 5-6 hours for 5-10 minutes... For sure these TVs have this weakness... But it seems silly to me to leave a TV on for 10-12... Even electrical appliances want to rest...
@@Ioulianos94. Yeah. It's more like I'll fall asleep on the couch with the TV on and wake up hours and hours later lol I think I'm going for the C2 OLED. I hope it lasts because there are barely any reviews out there that complain about OLEDs failing. Seems to be more issues down the line with LCD/LED TV's than OLED but like you said, every TV has their weakness. I just keep going back and forth with my decision lol
Brightness does not = accuracy or quality, it just equals brightness which, on the Samsung is normally accompanied with blooming.
