It has an incredibly diverse population due to its rich history as a former colony of England and the Netherlands (Holland). The inhabitants are a eclectic mix of Creole, Indian, Javan, Chinese and native indians. You guys will not only love it your life will change.
15:48 Kibera is not dangerous (as your experience confirmed). I used to go there weekly and just walk around, when I lived closer in Kilimani. Still gotta watch out because people can be tempted. Not advisable to carry valuables with you. I used to buy stuff like live chicken to eat because it's much cheaper than anywhere else... They delete them for you and chop them into pieces, not vegan/vegetarian friendly! Eggs too. I also stumbled on some women there who have been making organic peanut butter for me, for years. Contacts available. Then I also got organic maize/corn flour to make _ugali_ . They mill it right there into a coarser texture than what is sold in formal grocery stores (so lower glycemic index and more nutritious). Then they mix it with whatever other cereals/seeds you want. Amaranth, peanuts, millet, pumpkin seeds, you name it. Talk about budget-friendly health! Might sound unhygienic, considering the surroundings, but it's not.

Kazuri Beads Factory: This is a wonderful place to see first hand, the cottage industry of the manually produced beads and all of the people that sell do it to help locals. Brown’s Cheese Farm: This is a perfect place where you can escape to the countryside to find out how cheese is made and to enjoy farm to table dinners. It is absolutely great to see how well you two fit together as a couple, and I love seeing travel, art, culture, and storytelling all together in one video. I would urge to do proper research before putting claims about places or people. Did you like South Africa (Cape Town and Joburg) better than Kenya (Nairobi)? If so, please let me know why. My husband and I are still deciding which country to vacation and would like a bit more advise on the two countries. You guys are great.
Your presentation is so professional. Welcome to Nairobi and remember that you can always find places that are at your budget. You just have to research and not go to top dollar places all the time. And yes, Kilimani and Kileleshwa are better for the pocket than Westlands and also both neighbourhoods are a short drive by Uber to Westie/Westlands. I love your Kibera story!!!! Yoh.

It really depends on the type of tourist you are but to experience the city probably takes about 3-5 days. Thats long enough to see some of the attractions, eat at the restaurants and engage with the people.
Fan fact fogo gaucho isn't the original steak house in Nairobi, at carnivore they do also game meat... So beef, goat, ostrich, crocodile, gazelle etc... They have been there since the 80s
The deeper you dig Kenya, the harder it will be for you to get back 😊. You might start feeling careless attachments here & there... Plus, there's pretty much everything. And more.

Hey!!! Yes, The food is either cheap and questionable or expensive and delicious lol. It's not expensive by US standards but it is in relation to other comparable countries... especially housing.
@sammy_Ace69 I visited New York City and it gave me the vibe of Kanairo. I think its the fast pace and the diversity of nationalities. Quite trendy like here too.

As a born Nairobian I approve this video! Its authentic, in-depth and the piece on Kibera just like any other hood in the world you got to be careful doesn't mean you'll be jumped. #Yabros kindly tell the other ignorant black Americans the two guys who are currently in Kenya to try and show the diversity in the culture #HOLLMAN #KIDgreatness while I appreciate them marketing our city they could copy a thing or two from #Yabros.
Nice video. It is not that bad in Kibera though. People are rarely attacked, especially visitors, because of the heavy presence of undercover cops. It can be bad for locals though!
So many answers to that one but first and firemost quality over quantity. We know what we want to do and how to do it now. Also, traveling MX was cheap it ain't cheap here... at all. Finally, our vision and goals for the channel have evolved.
7:10 Nairobi is just Nairobi, stop this Newyorkish nonsense! 😏 15:33 I feel like kibera being the largest slum in Africa is exaggerated! Plus we have affordable housing being implemented to help eradicate these slums within ten years or so! Khayelitsha of Cape Town is the largest slum in Africa! Otherwise the video is good! 👌
You obviously have never been to khayelitsha it is nowhere near a big slum like kibera is and ive been to both places yes khayelitsha has slums but it also has proper housing unlike kibera I'm sorry kibera is the biggest slum no doubt about it
@@KaraboLekgoane International NGOs inflated Kibera's population to attract funding, but it's nowhere near the largest slum in Africa. You'll get killed in Khayelisha, the worst thing that can happen to you in Kibera is getting your phone snatched.

No we weren't. They were advertised for 100 Ksh which is 75 cents in USD or .75 $ We aren't new to this lol. What we were pretty much saying is drink with the locals if you can...it's cheaper and more fun. Thanks for watching.
I've been watching you for a while. I knew you were gonna end up in Kenya at some point, given your ancestry tests etc. Tough economic times in Kenya, but there are cuisines from > 50 countries in Nairobi. Last time I checked, there was even an Afghan restaurant. A visit to Kenya isn't complete without a visit to the coast (Diani, Watamu, Lamu etc, in that order). That gives you an idea that there's a lot of diverse stuff just a 40 min flight or 2 - 3 hr drive, in any compass direction out of Nairobi.
You are spot on - appreciating the diversity here. We’ve had some spots on the coast on our list so your travel recommendations are confirmation. Thanks!

Sorry, spent 30 days in Nairobi. Your story is incomplete. Its can be very dangerous. The locals are mostly ignorant. The corruption is over the top. The grocery stores and major hotels have armed guards. You keep focusing on BLACKNESS. Its Africa of coarse the majority is black. One has to judge a place on more than skin color. The upper class and those in government treat the general population like trash. The largest slum in Africa is within Nairobi's borders. One toilet per 200 persons. I do recommend people to go on safari, but be careful. Hire a guide . I would not suggest riding a bus. There are no rules to prevent overworked drivers or make sure vehicles are maintained. The average citizen thinks that everything is gods will. If your bald tire blows out and you die, its gods will. Ten percent of the population has Aids and there are lots of hookers. I witnessed several very bad accidents in the short time I was there. Was warned by several doctors about the Aids issue. Beautiful but dangerous.
Yoooo, slow your roll. Your rant is emotional and hate fueled. We have been here over 30 days and we have not felt anxious or in danger. We give valid unbiased reviews of where we go. You should check our resume. We can also call out the lames who live in their emotions for or against our perspective. Our take is valid, true and sincere. Nairobi is a big black city and that seems to bother you. Peace unto you.
The guards are simply because of a terrorist attack in 2013, and 2019. Few countries have not had these attacks, right? We're simply being overly cautious because they're more injurious to our economy. CNN called us a hotbed of terrorism etc
1) the West does a plenty good job of scaring this shit out of everyone so they are too scared to go to Africa. We don't need yet another video telling us how scary it is. We know the dangers. It's all we ever hear about. It's actually nice when countries that are always painted in a negative light get positive coverage. 2) there's currently political unrest all over the world. Incumbents just lost all over the world. Yes, Kenya has been having a rough time politically and lots of protests but that's been happening all over the world. It's not unique to only them. 3) they are American. We have more guns than people here. I think they know a thing or two about being in a place with armed cops/civilians alike. 4) AIDS!? Did you go to visit the country and take it in or did you go to hump everyone you could find?? HIV is transmitted through BODILY fluids. The average tourist isn't going to come into contact with anyone's body fluids so what are we even talking about?? Honestly... Kick rocks with this post

@@TheYarbros Yeah WESTGATE was bombed in 2012/13 if am not wrong..security is necessary
Just let them do what they feel comfortable doing,,they've both gone to kibera unless u haven't seen the videos
Why dont you start your own youtube channel and we see how far you will go mr, criticizer
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
@ Most welcome
I have saved this video because of that mega burger 😅. Got to try it.
It was delicious and the bun was good too!
You haven’t tried carnivore restaurant that brazilian place is a child play in comparison
Nice video. It is not that bad in Kibera though. People are rarely attacked, especially visitors, because of the heavy presence of undercover cops. It can be bad for locals though!
I am not sure about the politics/ police here but I am learning quickly that they are a real ....problem for locals.
I love my home state, but yeah puh leeze don't try to emulate NY.
Right! I see and hear a lot of ppl doing that and idk why! 😒
Your hair looks beautiful and you all could share that sandwich.
Thank you. We did share 😂 with leftovers for the next day!
so many video on Mexico and so little on Kenya or Africa ... im puzzled whats up with that? im a fan by the just saying
So many answers to that one but first and firemost quality over quantity. We know what we want to do and how to do it now. Also, traveling MX was cheap it ain't cheap here... at all. Finally, our vision and goals for the channel have evolved.
Many black americans are choosing kenya over Ghana
That's interesting we'll have to look into that 🤔
7:10 Nairobi is just Nairobi, stop this Newyorkish nonsense! 😏
15:33 I feel like kibera being the largest slum in Africa is exaggerated! Plus we have affordable housing being implemented to help eradicate these slums within ten years or so! Khayelitsha of Cape Town is the largest slum in Africa!
Otherwise the video is good! 👌
I was saying I hate the NYC comparison it's bs. Thanks for watching!
It think we as Kenyans also need to go easy on ppl likening Nairobi to New York,,they r referring the vibe not necessarily scale of things
😂😂😂😂😂 survived the slums!
It was a good time 🙂
LoL, sim! Brazil captured our 💕
Guys, you're getting better but don't be sarcastic sometimes times you're getting excited 😅😅😅
Idk what you're talking about but thanks for watching nevertheless.
👍🏿
Thanks for stopping by
Those liquor shots 😢 yall were scammed 75$ that’s a stretch .. when you deal with Kenyans never mention currency 💵 $. I prefer you ask in ksh just by saying how much ? Is enough.
❤ love the video you made bout my country.
Thanks!
DAT BURGER LOOKS GOOD🤣😂
@@gangstalkingsimulation1319 it was 😂 and lasted about 2 days!
Are y'all African or American Indians?
I'm a Lithuanian gay man. I look like the average Eastern European.
This line of division is ignorant to me. I'm God's Child.

We both play a roll to bring you a timely product. Nice to hear you take time and complain about it. Typical though.
Nice how y’all talk shit at the end clowns
Thanks for watching. We don’t mind the emotional expression from our vlogs. From this clown, all we do is speak truth and our experience. Peace be with you.
@@TheYarbrosthe fact that you are black Americans make it sucks...I realized you guys keep complaining whites look down upon you🤔bt you look down on fellow Africans..and it's worst😯..we are still developing and we are proud of our progress...
Honestly... Kick rocks with this post
the locals in kenya are not as ignorant as I have encountered in some western countries..... where are you from?
😂😂😂😂😂🙏‼️
