They were close friends. AARON just recently lost his long time wife. These two talented people are truly BLESSED by God.
That has been a while now, not just recently, he has since has been remarried 2010.
And also, Linda Ronstadt has had a debilitating disease for a number of years, which put an untimely end to her singing career.

Linda Ronstadt has always been self-deprecating and modest about her own singing ability, but she never has had one ounce of insecurity or hesitation about expressing or doing what she thinks is right and just. These two so loved and respected each other. Although I don't think Ms. Ronstadt is a "believer," I just watched an old video of her singing "Silent Night" with Aaron on his Christmas special. Two angelic voices.

I get chills and goosebumps wheen their voices blend together. It almost chokes me up to see Linda and hear her beautiful voice when she could still sing.
This is at the Grammys and they won that night for this duet!!! When Aaron was saying his thank yous Linda whispered in his ear to thank "your wife". That was awesome..

As always, when Linda performs with another singer, she does not try to outshine the other artist. She could have easily blown away Aaron's vocal performance with her powerhouse voice but she did what was needed to showcase his voice. Kudos to both of them.

And in those 72 years, THIS IS THE most romantic--------simply, THE best duet , of all-time. And I've heard some good ones ! They are really good friends. I love Aaron Neville he comes from a long line of bluegrass and blues music. Linda has always been an awesome force all on her own! I think Aaron recently lost his wife of many years which is sad because he just loved her so much! I remember seeing this Grammy awards show back in the day it’s a shame the Grammys are not what they used to be. The only time I watch them now is when there is a specific band that I grew up with listening to is getting an achievement award otherwise I don’t even watch it anymore.

I played the hell out of this CD in the early 90's.
His falsetto and bravado and hers make you melt. He believed the mole over his eye was a mark from %od and wouldn't have it removed.
