I've been using the shampoo for a few months (since the beginning of May) and i'm not even halfway through it. I think the scent is amazing and I love how soft and silky it makes my hair feel. I need to get the conditioner eventually!

@@theandrew1319 I wouldn’t use any shampoo daily I’d recommend you wait at least 2-3 days that seems optimal for me. If you get oily before that then I suggest you wash twice at a time and focus on just washing your scalp.
I love their Shea Butter line; it’s the most moisturizing of all their lines; it’s the PURPLE 💜 one

Wow, I just recently bought these exact products 🙌🏽 the smell is amazing!! 💞 It’s super lightweight and it leaves an amazing scent. I have shoulder length hair and I notice a little pump of Shampoo is enough, it lathers super well...and the conditioner is super light, loved it as well!! 💞 I’m def. going to purchase it again, and the cost was $6 and few cents at Walmart for each. I liked them honestly. Very tropical 💜 I recommend it!!!

ah man. My product list just keeps getting bigger and bigger. lol. I have a tough time resisting the urge to try EVERYTHING with my curls. It's funny because I was never that way with products before going curly. All things considered, I could have a worse addiction :-)
When I try a product and it doesn’t work for me, I just return them! Cause trust me, if I kept everything I would have my bathroom filled and have lost so much money on products that honestly sucked. Target, Walmart and Ulta are places I shop at and I return things opened with no problem-including makeup too!
I got the bamboo shampoo, the hydrate and moisture hair mask, and the nurture and moisture oil mist. After shampooing, I used the hair mask, you can use as the conditioner, after 5 minutes rinse, then after combing my hair, I sprayed the oil mist and then braided my hair. It really let my hair do it's thing. I saw a big difference already. Very shiny, moisturized and soft.

This was helpful! I have your hair texture but a tad more curl. It’s hard to find hair products that will clean, define and not weigh down my curls all at the same time. I’m going to try this like out and see how it goes!

Hello Dana , i’m following you since year and half and really love u and your videos so much, i just wanna ask you how can i fix my hair as it’s totally damaged from bleached i need your tips plz.
This stuff works so much better on my hair than pure omg best stuff I’ve found so far! The detangler is not so great at detangling but more like anti frizz best to spray on along with another detangler like pureology 21 benefits which is what I use a tiny amount of with the Maui moisture hibiscus detangler. Then after blow dry you spritz a light amount on to help with frizz. But honestly for curls I use their flaxseed refresher spray that stuff is amazing and helps to set waves/curls
I use this brand since u talked about for the first time. And I love it.

Never was able to get the shampoo out of the bottle. It sits under my sink now unused. I have a bathroom full of expensive products. My fav line is Deva Curl but the Cantu line for a fraction of the cost works as well if not better for me. I use Cantu cleansing shampoo , Cantu leave in and Cantu Curl Activator Cream. Works like a charm. My hair is like yours but slightly coarser that came with age.
please look into Devacurl and all the ingredients they put in their products, as they can be very damaging to your hair over a long amount of time! please be careful of that brand!
Check Maui ingredients when I googled some of them came up as Animal Urine *allegedly*

i found the shampoo was too dry for me. usually my hair which is at my shoulders detangles when under the water but the shampoo left me a knotty mess.

Thanks!! I just added these to my Amazon cart for next payday but wanted to see a review from someone with similar hair to mine. I've been using Shea Moisture Curl and Shine but I think I need to get something protein free for a bit or just step back from that particular line of Shea.

I actually just purchased Maui shampoo and conditioner after watching some UA-cam videos about good/bad drug store shampoo/conditioners and Maui was rated as one of the best shampoos and conditioners for your hair. I TRIED IT, AND IT MADE MY CURLS SHINY, BOUNCY, NOT WEIGHED DOWN AT ALL...I LOVE IT! Oh and P.S..your video showing your hair after using these products..WAS AMAZING! YOUR HAIR LOOKED GORGEOUS, very similar to how my curls turned out. Thanks, this was a great video/ review.

They look like juice bottles lol. Can't wait to see how you do with it. My hair has been a mess after I used a keratin infused shampoo past month. My curls turned into a big mess of frizz. Nothing I do helps. :(

keratin is actually notorious for making curly hair problems worse - try protein treatments without keratin instead!!

I use the dark green Thicken and Restore one and I'm scared to try another one and that it wont be as great as the one I've used lol

While the C14-16 olefin sulfonate is not technically a sulfate, it can still be harsh and drying, so be aware of that. I use this shampoo to clarify instead of the very harsh sulfate shampoo and it does a wonderful job at removing buildup. Also just FYI, the deep conditioner from this line (in the tub) has miscrocrystalline wax, so is not CG! Just like the orange bottle curl milk isn't :(

Idk what’s going on with my curly hair it use to be so soft and easy to detangle in the shower now it’s brittle feeling even when I use Deva curl and thick deep conditioner masks. Feeling so defeated 😕 I have tried this line and it makes my hair feel greasy I have hair just like yours
@Heather Robbins I know I'm late but have you considered that DevaCurl might be the problem? Apparently lots of people are having issues.
I don't know why my hair is not responding to this shampoo. I've read amazing reviews, but it's just not working for me. It leaves my hair heavy and dry. =(

Does the shampoo make your hair feel squeaky clean? I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative to DevaCurl but, so far, their shampoo is the only one I've ever used that doesn't make my hair feel overly clean.

It does leave my hair feeling slightly squeaky, but it's hardly noticeable, and it's actually my favorite shampoo right now. That said, I am looking into trying a few Shea Moisture shampoos, as well, just for comparison.
My favorite shampoo as well i use chemically dry damaged and yes they smell amazing.

I've been using the shampoo for about a month now, and the scent seems to disappear as soon as I rinse it out.

For me... I shower at night, the scent lasted up until I woke up 😭 but, I have really oily scalp and it has been getting oily even the morning after I wash it, but not with the Maui Shampoo, it lasted up until the next night I washed it, oily free

I’ve noticed before that they’re impossible to squeeze and didn’t buy another set. They need to change their packaging for sure.

She don't brush them... Just finger detangling in the shower while the conditioner in on.. Or maybe she brush them in the shower.

Hi! Be careful about those product. I checked the ingredients and there is Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate that are as bad as regular sulfates + Polyquaternium-22, Polyquaternium-39 and Behentrimonium Chloride that are as bad (maybe even worse) than regular silicone! that's why you were surprised about how great the conditionner is, it's because there is quats and silicones like in there! (sorry for my bad grammar, I'm french)

Not every curl person is worried about sulfates and silicones. Not all of us follow the CGM as a cult.
Lu Camino okay but you don’t need to talk like that, I don’t care about a cult or anything like that. I watched a lot of her videos and saw that she seemed interested by natural/silicone free product, and when she talked about this brand she said that it was silicone free, so I don’t think it’s crazy to think that she could be interested knowing that there is silicone in this product. I was not talking to you but to her so I don’t get what the issue is!

I just ordered some today from amazon due to tik tok 😭 I have a vsco aesthetic account type thing and everyone has this. I was checking if I got the right one because the picture looks super pink but in the video it looks way more red which I was hoping for!

It's used so that some ingredients mix well, I heard it probably evaporated by the time actual product is used

no they don't contain isopropyl alcohol. They contain other alcohols which are beneficial. In any case in use the alcohols evaporate quickly anyway.

I cannot understand how you’re able to recommend this products when they contain several carcinogenic ingredients. You guys shouldn’t blindly buy everything what youtubers recommend you, do your own research before.
Which ones are carcinogenic specifically? Back up your claim!
blckrainbow of course. Most of their products contain at least 1 carcinogenic ingredient like Diazolidinyl Urea, Dmdm Hydantoin and Microcrystalline Wax.
There was a time I wanted to buy their products, too. But then I checked them before buying them and I’m definitely glad I did. You can check them on Codecheck if you want more detailed information.
