    FOXWELL NT809 Bidirectional Scan Tool: bit.ly/3g335AA
    Code: F2UNC475
    This scanner has like $30 off right now plus you get another percent off using the code above so I just put it in and it came out to like $416.33 with tax ..... normally the scanner is like a $500 scanner without tax
    This Is The Ancel s1000 smoke machine

    Great job. I had a similar issue with my F150. When I first got the truck, I replaced the EGR, the air filter and I removed and cleaned my MAS. Then it threw lean codes for both banks. I bought a scanner and and I did some research. My long term fuel trims were very high on both banks. I had to really think about what I did wrong so I retraced my steps. Turns out I didn’t have the air filter housing mated properly; it is similar to the one in your vid. It had a little bit of a gap in between both sides of the housing. So I carefully made sure both sides lined up properly then I clamped it together. Problem solved. Stay Blessed

      I saw that when Rich opened the door after the first scanning and thought, naw, that's not really locked!

    Now obviously this was just part one normally I don't do part one part two but on this particular one I had to and I actually made an outro video to add to it but it didn't take in the editing app so tomorrow there will be a second part to this whenever the new EGR comes in and the new EGR tube

    I can't imagine finding that tiny leak at 13:00 without a smoke machine.

    The Econoline vans are the best they made and easy to work on too love my 98 Ford E250 remember you looked it up for me I been having higher Long term fuel trims lately though could it be the e15 u88 gas I'm using or possibly the manifold gasket isn't as tight as it should be I did the gasket job over a year ago now plus my coolant level is kinda down from where it was a smidgen above the max line on the reservoir bottle I'm dreading to have to go back in and redo everything especially being broke ASF too but I love my van and it's my only way to get around so I always take care of it

    Nice video and explanations. We do so much work to make sure thay the P-codes and scan tools work for you guys. I am outside work at 6:00 A.M. to diagnose BCM issues that are messing up vehicles in the final hours before Christmas shutdown. I am shaking in my car in the parking lot with a decent panic attack. I am dealing with it. So many other engineers and suppliers messed up, and they are blaming it as "my fault". The issue has nothing to do with me. The lines are going down, and management is upset. The good engineers get dumped on so bad. I just want to quit, and I question why I am doing engineering work. It is awful.
    People like you that rely on us are the only reasons for me doing what I do. I am done throwing up, frozen puke in the parking lot. I have to go back to work, only to catch grief for others' mistakes over the last few years.

    I had same issue replaced egr new egr dud the same thing replace valve cover pcv grommet ran great until covid didn't use van 2yrs. Used it twice last yr both banks lean again

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  Рік тому

      Make sure you're exhausted up real good too if you have exhaust leaks on both manifolds that can cause lean conditions and that's a real bad thing with these vans

    I do have the Foxwell NT809 as well, it is just awesome doing diagnosis and is very cheap for what it can do!
    I specialize in GM vehicles, but I did use the NT809 on several Renaults and even a Volvo S40. My only complaint is that it is slow reading Live Data on Fords that uses SAE 1850 PWM.

    All those type of egr valves will leak a little during a smoke test. I guarantee that’s not the problem.
    Are the fuel trims high at idle and go down under throttle? If not it’s not a vacuum leak. It’s an Air metering or fuel delivery issue.

      So this was a dual problem this was an exhaust manifold leak issue and a EGR diaphragm issue

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  11 місяців тому

      I would suspect it could be a tank issue or wires or evap issue

      @@FordBossMe thanks for the fast response. I did inspect the wiring and all is good with that. Going to perform a smoke test and see if I can spot a leak. Thanks again.

    This issue I'm about to talk to you about it's off subject this one is dealing with a power drain on a 2004 Lincoln navigator for some strange reason before my battery dies I hear a faint click coming from the back passenger side. Please if you dealt with this issue before please enlighten me. Thank you very much!!! Happy holidays Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year's may this year be prosperous for you and your family.

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  Рік тому +2

      If you're hearing some kind of clicking sound that typically has something to do with the heating and air conditioning system inside the cab of the vehicle something like a blend door actuator or a fan I would think right

      Also I forgot to mention my rear tailgate is not receiving power could that be related and the sound sound like it's coming from above the back passenger ceiling area kind of like the back door or ceiling run that area. Also I forgot to mention I don't have no freon in the system and I don't use the AC. Did this new information help my situation?
