  • I often get asked how to remove chalky paint. It can be quiet messy but this is the best way to remove paint in an eco friendly way. It does take some elbow grease but I hope that you find this video helpful and learn some new tips and tricks along the way. This Mid century Ercol childs rocking chair has been brought back to life.

Thank you for this video. I’m moving house and found a second hand rocking chair for my living room. Can’t wait to bring it back to its natural wood colour with your tips

LOVE this Joanne! Thanks for sharing. The timing of your video is perfect as I just received my dear Grandpa O'Neill's rocker. It has layers and layers of black, brown (and who knows what else) paint chipping off like crazy! So I will defo be following your step by step! Cheers! PS I still have my treasured "All you need is LOVE" chair that I made in your upcycle class ;)

Hi Joanne, I have bar stool/chairs that I want to do whitewash look on. It’s got a varnish on it at present - would the the paint stripper take that varnish off?

Yes with the white wash look you need to get every bit of varnish off. I would try it with a sander first to see how it lifts it
