- I finally got my hands on the new for 2020 Win & Win Radical Pro riser and MXT GF and GW limbs. I unbox the new Win&Win riser and limbs and set them up for shooting as a barebow archer.
Let me know what you'd like to see more of in unboxing or review videos below, I'd like to produce more content like this for the benefits of other archers out there.

Great review, can't wait to see how it works out.
Love these videos and cannot wait for your new book to arrive!!!!
Hi Jake,
thanks for sharing your impression!
I can't wait until you report your shooting experiences.
Thank you For one of the best modern archery equipments reviews. And I watch them all.
Yes! The beginning of the product review series?!!!
Yes, first real "review" of it
I got my Radical Pro just before we shut down in West Australia, so only had one distance shoot at the range. I love the bow but am finding my arrow spine a bit weaker than it was with the same poundage on my INNO Light W&W with W&W NS limbs. I have been shooting 18m at home so will check the bare shaft at 30m when I go back to the range next week. It definitely feels easier to come through the clicker.
I feel so jealous you've got new toys to unbox!! :p
Due to the lock down and having an imposed 'no archery' for looks like most of the outdoor season, I have decided to make the reverse journey to you. (If only for the winter.) I did look at the Radical Pro for myself, but that front edge is what stopped me. I have an underchin anchor and walk for barebow so I really need that weight on the knuckle. What I did find.... Apart from the neg tiler, if you over do the np, it really helps with longer crawls. (I have an indoor string set so the arrow just clears the shelf. Works a treat..)But best of luck and it would be great to see you challenge some of the BB legends who no doubt will be singing it in unison 'your doing it wrong' (because of the low anchor point..)
4:13, unless you use a custom weight system. I do have a custom-made brass barebow weight (12.5oz) which definitions are 30mm len & 40mm diameter. So if you ought to use this kind of weights, it might fit perfectly :)
Hey Jake! Do you ever plan on trying the Hoyt Exceed for Barebow?
When is your new book on tuning going to be available in England?
It’s an unusual choice of Riser for Barebow given that one of the usp’s is the clicker resonance. It will be interesting 🤔
Look to see if you can find somebody able to machine tungsten as it is nearly twice as heavy as lead and three times as heavy as steal but is so hard it messes up tooling as it is what is used as the cutting surface in a lot of lathe tools. Maybe look at designing something that fits down the back of the riser like the Gilo weights.
You will do review for atf x riser?
are you going to review the new gillo one day?
I'm not certain that these would fit through a barebow ring, but shrewd makes 4oz and 1oz tungsten weights. They're expensive, but they're 5/16 - 24 threaded, and they're very small. They're both 1" diameter and the 4oz one is just over half an inch thick.
Jake, what is the standard to how Win Win measures the weight of their limbs??
I own a pair of MXT GF limbs (30# long, 34# on fingers) and I can totally agree that they are supersmooth through the clicker. I love them even when they would be slower! Btw: does anybody know which core material they use on the GW’s? Maple, bamboo? Greets buddies 😃
Hey anyone know what bolt on arrow rests fit on this bow, I’m having trouble finding one!
20:32 this man automatically pulls on his recurve anchor. God made him for being a recurve archer. Come on man do the comeback in 2020
I think it is silly that there are concerns about markings on the riser being used as aiming marks, when we are aiming with the point of the arrow!
Because of how the bow works it is much mote advantageous to be able to draw the string close to the nock and use the front of the bow for height adjustments. Especially at unmarked distances. If markings were allowed, they would be used as sight marks. Not allowing string walking marks on the string or non uniform markings on the tab is what i think is silly :)
For gappers, having marks or blemishes within the sight window is advantageous because such marks will become the de facto sight or leveller. And such mark is closer to the target than using point.
The MTX limbs has a different curvature than the standard recurve limbs these are the first limbs to feature it. The concept is similar to the X-curve in some of the Ukraine limbs.
Uukha limbs*
Actually the MTX has an almost identical curvature to the Uukha Curve, not Xcurve. (I have both and have compared)
Ah I see, I wonder if the Uukha Curve gains more speed than the Win and Win curve. Win and Win curve is pretty mild just a little more than a hybrid long bow, I have a pair of CX7’s they seem pretty fast for 30# @ 25” with a 266 grain Easton ACC and a 466 grain Gold tip traditional.
@@RedEyeCyclops I have Uukha Ex1 (Curve) and Vx (X-Curve). Both are amazingly smooth and fast. The Ex1 are only 34# and when using them for barebow, all my string walk marks were exactly the same ones as with conventional (WNS) 38# limbs... The Vx are 46#, and I draw 49# out of them... Despite the weight, I have absolutely no pain or some after a FITA1440. They feel very very similar in terms of fingers pressure to my Fivics Titan Ex wood core (which I love) in 40# (drawing 44# out of them)... That would be awesome to see Jake reviewing a pair of Uukhas :-)
So are you still representing W&W despite retiring from olympic archery?
How is the grip?
brass weight for the front
Just go full Trad 😊
Yeah. I would like that too. At least takedown hunting style bow.
If your looking for a good way to help silence and reduce vibration use string silencers. Personally I found tufts made from paracord to be the best. I get comments at every shoot I go to about how quiet my bow is, I also use the same bow for hunting hence why I have them.
"The reason I choose natural materials" .... puts limb into carbon/metal riser :D
Reading comprehension - he said he prefers non-natural material. :)
Expensive knuckle duster ;).
Not a fan of rattling noises on my bow lol
Thank you for your review. I own another wiawis riser, but to me, this Radical Pro riser looks ugly like hell. Waiting for you opinion when you have shot it for a longer time... Did you ever tried Italian Gillo risers? They have a 25", a 27" and even a 29" ILF riser specially made for barebow: www.gilloarchery.it
ughhh i just watched a whole youtube video...from a barebower! should probably go shower right?.....oh wait i mostly shoot a compound now
