First Shots: Win&Win Radical Pro and MXT Limbs | Recurve Archery Product Review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- A continuation of my review of the Win&Win Radical Pro and MXT GF & GW Limbs. I finish aligning the limbs, set center shot and get to shooting my first arrows with the new setup. I compare side by side high speed shots of the limbs reactions and give my feedback on what I feel between the MXT GW and MXT GF limbs in this Radical Pro riser from W&W.

Jake, again, you're killing it... I was expecting a really thorough review, as all your content is, but man... This is another level of review!!! Thank you so much! Put all other reviews to shame, where everything is basically just how nice the colours is and how it feels... Thank you so much for your generosity!
WHOA!!!!!!!
"Just for giggles.." I like that. Archery should always have an element of fun and discovery about it.. Great vid Jake.
Jake thanks for the second review of the Radical pro and the MXT limbs.
Fantastic review I found the limbs much easier to draw back than my previous W&W - NS 36# short Foam limbs. So much so that I thought there was a mistake in the poundage.
Same Short MXT Foam limb's short 36# I had a significant shift in my sight to indicate possible heavier poundage but felt easier to draw back?
I wonder if you would be able to shoot the bow with stabilizers, Olympic Recurve to see how you think it performs.
I really like the graphics scheme for this setup. The way the whites and the angle line up is really attractive. It also sounds great. I love a wood core limb. Great vid!
Totally agree about the limb pocket alignment system. But don't forget to tighten the two large bolts in each pocket that hold down the alignment socket - after you've got the alignment right and tightened up the small side bolts! Didn't see you do that in the video
That is a nice set-up, would love to see how it would feel in an Olympic Archery set-up
Awesome rig Jake. Never stop shooting.
You've just sold me a set of MXT GF limb's I will order Monday. Thanks Jake 👍
Having consistent center shot alignment gives you consistent anchor points.
Really interesting, and you are spot on about how rough a bb release feels compared to what I would call an 'olympic' release. I think for me what is interesting is that I spent a lot of time trying to get the bow react the same everytime and finding it so much harder with bb. What surprised me is how less fluid you look with barebow. Not a criticism but I think is a reflection on trying to find bb form which works for you. For me 18m feels super uncomfortable, and as soon as I can split at 90m feels like a different bow. Would love to see you at the 90m with bb.
The big difference is shown at 20:45 and 20:50
The foam limb is more energetic post shot but dies down faster, the wood core is less energetic but wobbles longer (which would make the foam feel crisper)
Thanks for the video! How do you keep your bone alignment while also anchoring higher on your face? I do not expect you to answer here, maybe a video explanation of what good form looks like while shooting Bear bow versus olympic-style recurve would be helpful. Thanks!
Have you tried Border Bows CV9 limbs? Super-recurve, but no glass. No increase in draw weight from about half way in the draw and then a few pounds actual let-off towards the end of your draw. Every other limb feels like it's stacking after drawing them, and incredibly stable and fast? Unbelievably fast.
Very good info and useful...Thanks again Jake
Hi Jake. Just curious as to why you went with Win&Win over Hoyt? Especially being here in America where Hoyt is much easier to get. Thanks.
Now please someone send Jake a pair of Uukhas for a review!!! :-)
Davo BIG some nice VX+ and XX sets
I've got the Win & Win NS-G limbs on a Gillo GT 27" riser and love them. A big improvement over my previous set up.
Another great video.
Dollars for donuts, how do the NS-G limbs compare to the MXT-GF limbs? They are going for the same price, and appear to use the same materials. Why choose one over the other?
Nice quiver!
Jake have you tried using Tuning forks yet? I find them faster and easier than Beiter blocks.
Thank you for your video! Very helpful. Am choosing between the NS-G or
the new MXT-GF limbs so I appreciate the review. BTW, am wondering
what rest you attached on the riser. Thanks again!
I am currently trying to find a rest that fits this bow too!
Looks like a Zniper drop away rest. Spigarelli ZT should fit too, and so should the Shibuya Ultima.
Really reminds me of the Spigarelli riser I forgot which one it was...
The dms, yeah, it also reminds me of the old win & win tf apecs
Would love to see Jake shoot an Uukha riser with Uukha VX+ limbs and see what he thinks of them 😉
Put in a word to Uukha! haha
@@JakeKaminskiArchery I wish, I'm not sponsored by them 😂🤣😂 Maybe Lancaster Archery will let you try one? 🙄🤔 LOL
Oh and loved the vid. John Demmer III look out!
Those limbs look really nice but I have a hard time leaving my Uukhas.
good stuff champ!
Excellent video and explanation,,,
Very nice Review!!!
Hi Jake, can you try shooting the mxt gw and gf in a recurve setup, I wanna know how it feels as I want to get it for my Olympics setup, thanks
how practical or accurate is that method of shooting? I've never seen ppl's anchor point be so below where the notched segment of the arrow is
Hi Jake,
thanks for the 2nd part of the comparment!
Yes, I do like the foam limbs better, too. Especialy the draw feeling at the end, you called it clickerzone, is much more softer than wooden limbs.
Do you have any experience with lost of drawweight after 1 or 2 years, by the different typs of limbs before?
Stay healthy!
There aren't many in depth limb reviews on youtube and manufacturers give no data, so there is no way to make an informed decision before buying. Even if you're lucky enough to get a chance to try a set of limbs, it will most likely be on someone else's bow, set up for them. So, thanks for this and please consider testing and comparing some mid priced limbs which are rellevant for the majority of archers.
I plan on it when I get my hands on them
On a very tight budget, which riser would be better, Galaxy Crescent, Epic Fusion EX, or Akusta Breeze?
This bow!!! @_@
You should disclose the free gift from W&W first :P
I know what you mean. While I was slowly building my Olympic recurve I didn't have weights, dampeners, and/or rods for the longest time! Lol.
I shot barebow for awhile
Take a shot everytime Jake says 'Glass Limbs'
Hey jake, i am going to buy a new bow, but i confuse to choose radical pro or meta dx, which one do you think is better? Anyway i play recurve and also barebow for fun
Personally id pick the Meta-DX
Great video. Possible to know what arrow spine you using for this setup??
500
is it fair to compare wood to foam across the board? i mean can it be said 1 type is easier, or smoother, or less stacking thru the draw. I ask because I just had shoulder surgery on my bow arm, and am 56 years old, so not getting any younger. i am coming from shooting a sage bow and want to get into something better. thanks
not exactly, not all of them are the same. its a complicated issue.
Which carbon riser you like best.
What about the vibration of this riser?
Can you make a video of how you align a bow ?
ua-cam.com/video/QtjQtaQPwpY/v-deo.html here it is!
@@JakeKaminskiArchery Okay thanks I just started watching you set up series and you covered it . I'm going to watch all of them .
I like carbon foam limbs better! When shooting.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

40# limbs 500 spine arrow
