The Karen story that upset me the most was the B who called the police and lied about a black man threatening her while hanging her dog
The one that's really unsettling is the woman that is yelling for the "illegal" family to leave "her" house and to "go back to their country", or whatever she said
Out of all the Karen’s I’ve watched mostly from UA-cam, WatchMojo had to start it out with some Canadian newscaster.. I’d bet any American wouldn’t know who she is. Great job!
I've got one to share, one which made me very angry but no one really seems to know about... there was a US politician by the name of Gordon Lawshe, who called the police on a 9-year-old black child. Why?
"There's a little black woman spraying stuff on the sidewalks and trees," "I don't know what the hell she's doing, scares me though."
What she was actually doing was spraying lanternflies, which are a pretty invasive species that carry fungal disease, but mostly destroy crops and plants like the aforementioned councilman's garden / lawn. So essentially, he called the police on A 9-YEAR-OLD for helping the community by getting rid of bugs.
There's a very good video on that incident from the Law&Crime Network on UA-cam called "‘Am I in Trouble?’: Neighbor Calls Police on 9-Year-Old Girl Spraying for Bugs," which I recommend if you want a brief synopsis on the story. It contains body camera footage of the incident, and the segment also mentions New Jersey's campaign: "Stomp it Out," that encourages locals to kill invasive species that are harmful to the environment.
So, yeah, screw that dude.
I feel exactly the same. I don't understand how and why people can be so cruel and how they live with themselves!!
@kissfanmac there's quite a few entries of British Karens too in this vid... and I'm from the UK and have to admit I didn't know some of the famous people - or totally forgot about their appalling moments!

Karen-esque behavior in an airport is bound to raise more than a few eyebrows, but the one with the fire extinguisher couldn’t have gone over well with the victims who bore the brunt of the foamy assault. In the fast-food cases, all they had to do was calmly explain the situation to an employee at the window or counter.

Central Park Karen is the worst to me. Everything about that scenario is terrible. One, look at how she is treating her dog. Two, she was 100% in the wrong. He asked nicely for her to keep the dog on the leash and she calls the police and claims that she is under attack by a black man. It is terrible
Watching that dog desperately struggling to avoid strangulation was horrifying.
Don’t forget about that Karen reporter from Deadspin who gave an 8 year old boy who was Kansas Chief City fan a hard time over his face paint that was to show support for his football team.
I grew up in Karenville, Ca.
This makes me laugh and feel warm and fuzzy knowing now that the rest of the world knows how insufferable they are.

They have always existed, just more prominent now. I had one that looked exactly like Aileen Wuornos tried to challenge my Mom in a parking lot. "Aileen" was going the wrong direction and my Mom moved over as far as she could. She tried to challenge my Mom. I said, "Mom, I got this." As soon as I exited the car that tore out backwards of the parking lot.

I don’t think I’ve ever come across a Karen before. Maybe once when opening up my register at the beginning of the work day; ir takes several seconds and I told this to one lady who was waiting to buy something. I think she was in a hurry because she was literally the first customer of the day. I politely told her that it would be just one moment… yeah that didn’t sit well with her. She threw a fit - pointed at me telling my manager that I was super rude that I was “making” her wait. My register was barely warming up. I don’t recall the other details as this was …. maybe ….. when I was in my early 20s. I’m 39 now. Was working at Babies R Us during this.

I don’t agree. If that is the case, you are a scumbag. You can be rude and mean on a bad day. You can be the Hong Kong woman who threw the fit but you cannot call cops or spit on people even if you are having a bad day.

I was born in India, and that incident was terrible. But that is not a Karen …it is worse. A Karen is someone who makes horrible insults but that is different form people who kill or attempt to kill their family members. It just seemed weird how that incident was tagged as a Karen incident.
By that logic Ted Bundy or Jack the Ripper (if it was a solitary dude) would be Karens of the past.

Christian Cooper was a jerk and that woman shouldn’t be on this list. A strange man accosted her in a park and threatened her dog and berated her and harassed her. If that had been me, that encounter would have turned out a lot differently for him.
Personally I think the McDonald's Karen should have gone to Carls Jr. They don't have a uniform breakfast. Or Jack In The Box. They don't have a uniform breakfast either. McDonald's is probably the only fast food restaurant that has a uniform breakfast

It was a quiet car I believe. You cannot use cell phone there. It is not illegal by law but you can be asked to deboard. If you are resisting deboarding, then that may become a misdemeanor.
