    I'm late to the party but the most harrowing case that I know is Thadius Phillips.
    In 1995, when he was 13 he was kidnapped by 17 year old Joseph Clark. Infamously known as The Baraboo Bone Breaker, Joseph kept Thadius in his home for 2 days torturing him by repeatedly breaking his leg, ankle, and hip bones.
    When Joseph was out of the house, Thadius managed to crawl down the stairs and call 911.
    The story is a really gruesome one but the fact that Thadius managed to make it out of that situation shows how resilient humans can really be.

    • @WatchMojo

      That's an incredibly harrowing and disturbing story. Thadius Phillips' bravery and resilience in the face of such unimaginable horror is truly remarkable. It's stories like these that remind us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of never giving up hope, even in the darkest of times. Thank you for sharing this powerful example of survival against all odds.

      My mom used to try and get in the neighbors house thinking it was ours. At that point it was close to the end. I looked at putting her in a place because I couldn’t watch her 24/7. As it was I had locks on every door and cameras all around the house so I woke up every time one went off. Days before she was supposed to go into a home (Wednesday and Saturday) she died in the house. I truly believe she went out on her terms because she never wanted to go to a home and I tried so hard not to put her in one.

    The story of Kamiyah Mobley is similar to the story of the other baby that was kidnapped from the hospital. She was born in 1998 and a woman drove like 12 hours to Florida determined to get a baby (the back story for that is crazy) and that's where she went. The parents were teens and the lady went in there posed as a nurse and put Kamiyah in a tote bag and walked out. When Kamiyah was ready to work, she needed her legal info and that's when things all came out. The woman is in prison now. Her story was everywhere.

    Steven Stayner lived in my town. As a matter of fact, we went to the same church. I sorta knew him. He was very quiet, but nice. I didn't know him well. I had heard of the movie and mom told me about him later. I don't know how he did it. I'd never leave the house again.
    That one about the woman who spent eight days in her crashed car is insane. Just because they can trace her phone and everything seemed okay, doesn't mean they shouldn't look just to make sure.

    Alicia Navarro is a recent case of a missing person who was found years later. Hers is a case that is a little more than baffling. She left home at 14/15, then walked into a police station states away from her home in Arizona when she was 18/19 to ask to be removed from the missing persons database. The guy she was with has been arrested for possession of CSAM, but not much else is known regarding the years she was gone, who she was with, etc. The family asked for privacy, so it's possible we may never know the full story.

    • @michelleprieur1
      @michelleprieur1 7 місяців тому +1

      Correct. She was a teenager and he was an adult, although I don't think he was much older. She ran away to be with her boyfriend; which isn't unusual for a teen. I'm not making excuses for her or him, as it was wrong, as she was a child and he was young himself. From what I've gathered, her parents had already told the boyfriend that they would put him in jail if he didn't leave her alone.
      She stated that she eventually wanted to go home, but the more time passed, she felt like she couldn't. I guess all is well that ends well; they're still married.

    In Paul Fronczak' case, the mystery still has many loose ends. While they found the real Paul, they to this day don't know who was the woman that kidnapped him, and the man's discovery of his real identity as Jack Rosenthal brought up the question of what happened to his twin sister. It is known that the Rosenthal parents were very abusive and neglectful of both twins, who just disappeared one day, with the couple making up several excuses to family members about their absence. The bio parents are long dead, but we can safely conclude they abandoned toddler Jack, and what happened to Jill is still unknown. Paul (Jack still goes by Paul) is working with detectives to try and find his sister. He believes the bio parents may have killed her, either purposefully or in an accident, and abandoned him around the same time, as they couldn't explain one missing twin, but that it is still very possible she is alive somewhere. It has been 58 years since Jill Rosenthal disappeared, may she soon enough be found.
