How about Netflix cancelling hyped shows before they even released like Bone and Wings of Fire
How did Hoops not make this list
How did Cuties not make the list? Their stock took a nose dive and they were indicted over that movie.
Would swap Iron Fist for it only because its second season was a lot better than the first
@@davidlance5310 That it was.
It's not a Netflix original. It's a crappy French movie that only got attention because of the controversy.
would get demonetized LUL
Cuties wasn't a Netflix film. It was a French movie from French studios and licensed by Netflix to stream internationally. The film itself isn't that all bad and it's about how children are sexualized in society particularly beauty pageants and Netflix basically did what it was railing against by hiring a couple pedophiles to handle the marketing.
I don't understand the whitewash accusation of Iron Fist. Wasn't Danny Rand also white in the comics?
Yes, and you are not meant to understand it; accodring to the race-baiters, you are supposed to listen and believe without any evidence or logic whatsoever because if you don't, you are a follower of the man with the funny mustache.
You're right. He is white in the comics, so no white washing. The problem in the show was thst Danny was so unlikable and whiney.
People no longer do their homework before making videos and editorial.
He is .
Yeah. I don't understand either. I don't think the people who complained don't know jack about Iron Fist.
Marco Polo was amazing . I was so pissed when it was canceled !
A LOT of people were. It wasn't a failure. Netflix just loves canceling everything.
I agree, Marco Polo was amazing. If only the higher-ups at Netflix could have seen that.
@@EseanB I wish they'd given BLOODLINE a fourth season!
@@EseanB
Terrible
Hemlock Grove is such an underrated horror show. Plus it stars a pre known Bill Skarsgard and a bunch of other great character actors. Convenient that you left that out.
It's one of my all time favorites
Hemlock Grove was very refreshing.
Liked it too... there were several shows I liked a lot on this list... I wonder what criteria they used
I liked HG, it was creepy and stylish, but the tone was kinda inconsistent at times.
the first season was great but then it seemed like they didn't know what to do with it. It was all over the place. I couldn't even finish the second season
Cleopatra as they rightfully deserved backlash from viewers and Egyptians for altering history. The best part about that series was the memes it inspired.
Iron fist was miscast. Not because he is white, but his fighting was just plain bad.
Cause they cast him basically right before filming and totally ignored actors who were perfect for the part. Scott Adkins would've been perfect for the part. He could pull off the corporate and traveler look and he actually has martial arts skill
@@welcometothemovies9157 ya but almost everything he been in bomb big time
Anyone expecting an Adam Sandler movie to have sensitivity, cultural or otherwise, has obviously not paid attention to his filmography.
3:21 Exactly how is it whitewashing when Danny Rand is white in the comics?
I've never even heard of 90% of these.
That means you don't actually netflix
And Netflix also does the opposite, there are good shows that got axed too.
Wait a minute, Iron fist was accussed of white washing? WTF? Danny Rand has almost always been portrayed as a caucasian character i really can't recall having seen him as anything else in any of the comic books i have read or seen, and i couldnt find anything else on a google search either.
As well, Marvel already had a hero who is an Asian martial artist when Iron Fist was first created: Shang-Chi.
If Danny was made Asian, he’d just be Shang-Chi with a glowing fist.
Times change. Once upon a time, Fu Manchu was considered a good representation of Asian culture. Even if Danny was white, there many Iron Fists through Marvel who weren't. They could've picked any of them.
@@MrPuzzles More like people are finding problems where their arent any, and saying there have been many Iron fists through Marvel who werent, i googled Marvel Iron fist and many other names, i couldnt find a single picture of Iron fist that wasnt white, so you are gonna have to show me some proof, and again of all the many marvel comic books i have read through my life, i have never seen Iron fist as a different race. So again tell me which comic book it is you know of where he isnt white i would love to see it. Also the whole ''they couldve have picked any of them'' ya you are right and they picked the best actor. Dont go for racial quotations over who is best suited for the job.
Despite the controversy with Danny Masterson , the Ranch was very enjoyable and considered it very funny.
Correct
A show I've watched several times. It is hilarious. And why you would put this on there but not Colleens disgusting show Haters Back Off?
Iron Fist was not good but Jessica Henwick was excellent as Colleen Wing!
Sooner or later, the animated reboot of Good Times will be added. Calling that show Good Times is an insult to the original Good Times. The negatively stereotypical portrayal of African-Americans, the bad jokes, unlikable characters. As soon as I saw the trailer, I was immediately offended. Both Seth Mcfarlane and Steph Curry ought to be ashamed of themselves for being executive producers of this garbage.
I had no idea 'Good Times' got a remake of any kind. Just listening to the theme song let you know good times were not being had.
The get down was a great show. wish they kept it running. Netflix always gets rid of the good things.
Marco Polo was awesome . Loved Thousand Eyes .
Me too!!!!
I don't understand why you keep mentioning Rotten Tomatoes as something relevant.
Else they have to do some real research. That takes time and skill which they don't have.
I still don't understand the whitewashing outrage over Iron Fist. Danny Rand is a white dude in the comics. How do you whitewash a white character?
I agree with you 100%, I used to read Iorn Fist comics back in the 70s and I thought the show was pretty good. I'm not getting it, Iorn Fist is white washing but Cobra Kai isn't?
I liked the actor that played Iron Fist. To me, the show was boring because it had too many episodes and not enough plot to carry it. It each season was only 6 or 7 episodes, they could've told a more streamlined story and left out all the unneeded subplots
Marco Polo was so good in its first season. It's so frustrating how stupid and lame it got. Benedict Wong was absolutely STELLAR in that show.
Yet Cuties still ain’t on the list… 😤😤
Because it was not a failure. If anything, the controversy gave it attention.
@martinnevarez242 that and it wasn't a Netflix orginal
I honestly enjoyed Red Notice, True Memoirs of an International Assassin, and Rebel Moon. Not everyone’s favorite, but I has good times watching them.
And that's the only thing that matters👍. Only bullies can tell you otherwise...
I enjoyed watching it too. I really would have loved more sequels.
They were nothing ground breaking, but most def a fun watch.
Canceling 1899 should be a crime. That show was a gem
I enjoyed Friends From College, but I forgot to finish it. I'm surprised that made the list, but Haters Back Off didn't.
I very much enjoyed Hemlock Grove ! The one main issue I had with it was changing out a main character from season 1 to a different actress.
And I've never followed Manga at all, but I LOVED the movie Death Note !
Hemlock Grove was great!
Man...I liked Marco Polo...
Marco Polo was amazing...
The get down was so good from start to finish
Right! It had so much potential as well
@@ShatianaB yeap and told the true story or how it started as well
Biggest original Netflix sin was not paying “San Clarita Diet” was my favorite Netflix original.
they did pay for 3 seasons you think they where all done for free
_Iron Fist_ will be a slog to get through, considering I’m following one of the chronologies the Defenders saga follows.
Marco Polo was great!!!
I loved ridiculous 6... To think the movie should be anything more than ridiculous is stupid. The movie was supposed to be bad and silly... The native American names were a joke, the whole idea of them all being brothers was silly, the cast was silly. I loved it.
I thought friends from college was funny
Regardless if the following wasn't a Netflix original, I agree that Cuties should have been added to this list due to the extreme controversy surrounding that film. I would have loved to hear what the narrator had to say about it.
He was too busy fapping to it.
Rotten Tomatoes has no integrity.
Hemlock Grove was awesome, start to finish, and I would have loved another season or two.
Marco Polo the first season was great, the second was not great but not bad either.
Iron Fist had a number of issues, the lead actor not having time to train and prepare. Some issues with the Script in that it made the character not overly likeable.
However whitewashing accusations were so dumb. Literally people were upset that they didn't change the character at all.
It wasn't nearly as bad as people like to pretend it was.
I have watched Red Notice about 4 times now. I love it
I thought it was great!
@@Salicat99 Me too!
Netflix shouldn't handle projects like Cowboy Bebop and Death note. 🎉
live action cowbooy bebop was good
@@jsmith3946 i think john cho may have looked a little too old to be spike but i still enjoyed it.
You left out the most important part about The Ridiculous 6. Adam hired an Indigenous elder to offer him cultural advice on the film. In reality he just wanted someone to shoulder the blame for his offensive material. The elder tried to explain to him that his jokes about Native women were too insensitive... you know, the reason he supposedly hired him. Adam said he wasn't changing a damn thing so the elder ripped his pay cheque up and walked off set. Good for him. I haven't watched an Adam Sandler movie since, nor will I.
Wait, so banning password sharing didn't make #2?
I don't know why it's on the list, but Space Force is a genuine satire of the best.
You are Far Right if Schumer isn't funny.
How does she keep getting work? Geez
Nobody thinks she's funny.
If that’s the case I’ll wear that far right label with pride lol
So the Netflix Arrested Development did have a great scene with Tobias accidentally getting arrested in a To Catch a Predator-styled sting (his odd way of speaking finally caught up with him), and there was this running gag of anchor John Beard (a mainstay from the original series, and an IRL news anchor) repeatedly quitting his jobs. He was even the one who did the sting that arrested Tobias, and did a little girl voice offscreen. Besides that, meh. Even John Slattery couldn't save the show!
the live action version of Cowboy Bebop comes to mind
One thing is for sure The Rock is no longer untouchable in the Hollywood space. It has been a long long time since he has been in a hit film. This is definitely a good list though.
I enjoyed him in 'Ballers' from HBO but that's not a movie, as you so aptly stated.
Hemlock Grove thankfully gifted us Bill Skarsgard and readied us for him to play an evil clown 🤡 yeah the storytelling definitely wasn’t very good but I’ve seen way worse
The Get Down was dope. Sad about the lack of traction but it had potential.
Nothing about Cuties are you kidding? People were canceling subscriptions because of it not to mention the legal troubles it also gained from a former school of rock star
I enjoy Netflix movies even if they're bad or good
Why
@@zerosn0w428The fact that you ask why will make it impossible for you to understand even if he tells you...
I really enjoyed marvel iron fist and Marco Polo too.
I loved Hemlock Grove. I have come to realize that no one else did. I've never met anyone else who binge watched the whole thing and loved it too.
I kind of expected 'Blockbuster' to be on the list. It had so much potential and talent, both in front and behind the camera. It just couldn't deliver unfortunately.
Arrested Development was doomed to fail when the cast couldn't get together at the same time to shoot due to prior commitments for the 4th season (1st for Netflix) I feel they probably rushed the production instead of just waiting for the cast to get together
1:10 -- don't get me started on Space Force. When John Malkovich is unremarkable in it, you know it's awful.
He was the best part of that show but even he couldn't carry it
Marco Polo was excellent, except for the ending.
I greatly enjoyed Hemlock Grove, but I will aagree that the pacing could be slow, and it felt like, towards the end, they didn't really know what they wanted to do with the show
I was really impressed by the 1st season of Marco Polo, top quality production for a historical drama. The characters were great.
I actually enjoyed The Ranch.
The best show that takes place in Venice California was Wilfred. I still need to check out the original Aussie version.
Where's the "Top 20 Best Supervillain Teams" video?! #WatchMojo
Why isn't Cleopatra on this list? That show is so bad that even Egypt government officials want to sue the shows creators.
Maybe it did t bomb? Think about how awful Bright was, yet Netflix considers it successful.
Queen Cleopatra,Fate the Winx Saga,Cowboy Bebop. How are they not on the list?
You also ignored Cleopatra which was race swapped because if they actually did their research she was not blk but she would look more middle eastern not blk
The casting for the main character in Iron Fist was ok. What really made that show obnoxious was the fighting choreography and Danny Rand constant need to remind us that he is the immortal iron fist, while not doing much with it in the whole show.
Yep. That show had too many episodes in a season and not enough plot to fill it.
I liked the Ranch, mainly for Sam Elliot but ya know...Danny Masterson was in it. Surprised WatchMojo didn't make it number 1
Have you ever noticed that Regina Hall and Cuba Gooding Jr. Are never in the same together?
It’s odd that TV series are mixed with films. In addition, several of the series lasted several seasons, so how are they failures?
-Disjointed was a great show
- Spaceforce was also great
- Friends from College was funny
Wow, your definition of "failures" must be quite unusual. Movies that are getting a couple of sequels, shows that last two or three years. Here's a hint: "failure" means NO sequels for films or ONLY ONE season for shows. Also, not having the live action Cowboy Bebop on this list is...a choice. This coming from someone who hasn't seen it and might be inclined to like it if I ever do watch it. But only one season (and the surrounding conversation about it) makes it a spectacular failure.
That's too bad about Red Notice. I really enjoyed it. Never knew people didn't like it.
The worst thing about these failures is that were going to see more failures in the future.
well you can't have success without failure
@@jsmith3946---Can't argue with that
Never seen one Netflix show good or bad and if I want to watch a movie nothing beats the cinema experience who wants to watch a big budget movie on tiny screens
I LOVED Friends From College!!!!
I have to disagree with The Ranch being a failure, at least for me. I have a relative or two that were farmers, though not ranchers, and so I can relate to the characters, though these are much more colorful.
I won't watch a series on Netflix until it's concluded bc of delays, cancellations.
It sucks, but it saves a lot of disappointment.
Ooohh, that’s where I’ve seen Maximus from Fallout from before, Disjointed!
No. 17, Too bad it's now canon to the MCU Sacred Timeline now according to Brad Winderbaum and Vincent D'Onfrio on their interviews on "Echo" before
The biggest problem with the Chelsea Handler show was that she was always trying to force her politics on the audience.
How the heck did the 365 days triology (ALL THREE MOVIES AT A R.T. SCORE AT 0 PERCENT...about a cartel leader kidnap a woman and try to force to love him in 365 days) did not make the list
For people who claim that "Cuties" should be on the list, no it should not. On the surface it may seem it should, however, it was the controversy that saved the film from flopping, and also, the drop of stocks was only temporary. "Cuties" was on the top 5, so that is anything but failure. Seriously, the film is not CP and never was that the indictment was dropped. Even Screen Engine did a poll that had 72% of people saying that the controversy was overblown.
The Netflix version of Resident Evil didn't received a sequel that left us in cliffhanger. 💀 Should've put "RE: Side W" as a title 😓
Marco Polo was two awesome seasons then they canceled it. I never found anyone who didn’t like it. Don’t know why it was canceled.
Red Notice has the greatest car chase scene
Hemlock Grove was amazing. Loved it.
The IMAX presentation of the first two episodes grossed $3.5 million worldwide.[120]
"Nobody is going to root for a cast of characters who stand for discrimination, eugenics, and racism." with 5 out of 8 episodes having zero plot and zero-character development -Inhumans review.
How did MCU went from Homecoming and GOTG2 to Inhumans in 2017?
I loved red notice !! Huh to think of it I was mopping my basement as I watched it lol
Ironfist in the comics was a white dude so that part isn't white washing. It just tells me that the people who REEEEE about the show doesn't know the source material
I’m surprised both the shows that Kenya Barris produced didn’t make the list
My stepmom and I loved Red Notice it was awesome when we saw it in theaters.
Sorry, but sOmEbOdY should make it rule not to mention 'Netflicks' and woq in separate sentences when talking about faliures
I liked the Ranch except Rooster was way over the top.
Not going to lie netflix has dropped in quality in last few years and its last subscription change was just god awful. But some of these choices on the list I disagree with. The Ranch was a amazing show and it broke my heart when it ended. I was also upset to find out disjointed got cancelled so early it was actually pretty funny, same with space force. But they cancelled so many good series and are hurting themselves for it. Honestly bring back pre covid netflix that was the best.
I enjoyed 'Marco Polo' and always thought Weinstein killed third season.
In a time when all modern sitcoms are painful and embarrassing, that Kathy Bates one looks beyond excruciating.
So Red Notice is getting two sequels, ..... how is that a failure?
Unpopular opinion: Steve Carrel is severely overrated
Marco Polo was solid, really enjoyed it
