I'm surprised you didn't include the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, where nearly 3,000 tonnes of maple syrup was stolen, worth around nearly 18 million dollars. Pretty fitting that our greatest heist was stealing maple syrup. (It was because the Quebec maple syrup companys rules were too harsh on the producers of the syrup, and the syrup was sold on a black market to a better company in New Brunswick)
I get paranoia is no joke, but the fact you have the knowledge and discipline to commit to planning and rehearsing a heist for months and finally pulling it off, just to dump all of your evidence in a forest is possibly the dumbest thing ever. He couldn't even be bothered to at least dig a hole, just dumped it on the ground. Just out of principle, I'd think that crew member was a rat.
12:45 I mean if there was a guy like "the king of keys" he would probably know alot about the law to avoid it for so long. Something like a lockpicking lawyer... Oh wait a minute
Yeah I love how unique and horrid these stick men look and gives a very distinct feel to this channel compared to the many others like it and even the original
it's really amazing to have a youtuber provide quality content with no sponsor breaks and no long intros and outros. it's sad how rare it is. i hope more youtubers realize this is what we want and stop inserting sponsor breaks that we all skip anyway
I mean, 100 million dollars is pretty insane and it's probably not that farfetched to assume it's gonna be almost impossible to beat especially considering how far security is progressing everyday
Imagine your dad, on his dying day, confessed that he's actually a robbery. Committed the largest successful heist without getting caught. Including the diamond on your neck
For those interested the luthansa heist watch the Goodfellas, is a mafia movie based on a true story. The family responsible for the heist is highlighted during the movie
So about the D.B Cooper case, in 1980 a portion of the ransom money was found washed up in the Columbian River in Washington. All of the bills had their serial numbers documented before it was handed off. All in all about $5,800 worth of bits and pieces were identified of the $200,000. That's a pretty large amount of the cash to just wash up on shore, so some believe that when he jumped out of the plane mid flight, he didn't actually survive and was likely eaten by wildlife. Although that's speculation as he could have just hid the money in a terrible location. It should also be noted that if he did die on impact, the area searched was the wrong location. As he likely would have jumped out much earlier than when the crew realized he was gone.
and also keep in mind it was 10,000 feet in the air And it was around 1am-3am, While the weather wasn't the best So he jumped in darkness while the wind wasn't in his favour

My stepdad is related to Bonnie of the Bonnie and Clyde duo (Bonnie would have been his something great aunt and we have her diary in the family) you can ask me any questions on them if anyone wants to. I can assure you they were very different than they are often depicted. My great aunt in law said that most of the movies were so inaccurate that most of that side of the family don't every watch them so you will definitely might be surprised with some of the stories I have.
@zacharymcleod8050 I don't have it in my possession it still in that side of the family but I can tell you the things I do know. So the movies usually portrayed them as similar to if mickey mouse and Minnie became bank robbers but in reality it was a very strained relationship that a lot of people in her family hated seeing her go through. She was in reality as my great aunt ( my mamma's sister and closest relatives to bonney) put it " a sweet angel married to the devil." She was a sweet woman who sadly feel in love with the wrong man. A lot of alcohol abuse comes from that side and is one of the factors that played apart in why they did a lot of their heists. She was a really good homemaker and hated hurting people and desensitized herself so she could help Clyde with his antics. But a really funny fact is one of the things we have from ber other than her diary we apparently have (mainly from my understanding is pretty normal talked a lot about how much she hated all she was doing but couldn't get away from him because of he love for him) is that she made a damn good squash casserole. It was always a treat she would make for Clyde whenever they could get the ingredients and the whole family to this day dies for it. I would need to get my mom to ask one my of stepdad's relatives that have the diary for me to get more info, but that is the main gist I think. Will comment more when I get it. The real story of her is more sad than in the movies and is why that family really hates those movies.
