I am retired, I love talking to Scammers! My phone doesn't have any apps, Int. connection. In our area it usually "This is Canadian Border Agency, we received your parcel with illegal substance and issued an order for your arrest. Please dial 1...". I do and and then exercise my creativity. Pure fun!

Exactly, I don't know why the other channels try to cover up. These scammers, they're the ones robbing people, why should we protect scammers, they don't have any care for people. This one scammer told me, I'm poor, ok, I'm trying to get out of my poor village. I am like, how is that my problem? I said, I'm poor here in the United states. You guys think everybody, United States has some kind of money, we don't. I said, I'm poor, I used be homeless on the streets after Foster care, but I found a way to find a place to call home and make a small bit of income on my own. In India, it's shameful to have this kind of job, and I told him you would have better respect from your family. If you sold vegetables and fruit on the side of the street, then do what you do and you would have better karma.

This is totally sad. As a Filipino who had worked in a Call Center before, I now understand why my customers are wary about other nationalities handling their accounts. Some of them think we’re scammers because of our national and accent because of scammers like these people. What a shame. No matter how hard life my get, please don’t engage in this kind of crime.
I think it's also just a tactic to make the victim flustered and less likely to think critically about being potentially scammed, since no one likes getting yelled at
Marvelous. That pretty much matches my experience. Within minutes (most times), the various websites, facebook pages, LinkedIn profiles and CCTV goes down. Such a shame, but the scammer network is pretty wide. Great video anyways.

I had a Norton scammer send me an email saying they charged me $399, I called them and told them thank you very much because I usually pay $599 😆 he asked if I wanted a refund and I said why would I want a refund you just saved me $200, he got mad started swearing at me and hung up! I called them repeatedly all day from different numbers messing with them and making them very angry 😡
If we could just keep who ever is selling our phone information to the scammers there would not be a problem. The scammers are mostly in India but, the ones providing them our numbers are not.

Sadly since all of this is done from India your local police or bank can't do anything to help you out they just send you to the FBI to file a report because they are the ones who shut down all of this call centers
Ultimately India as a country is gaining from this, money is put into the system. Now... Robbing the elderly and the gullible for their hardearned money through these scams. What India is gaining is also a lot of mistrust and contempt.
Indeed, they are disgusting - similar programmes were shown on TV in the UK but the police in India did nothing against these scamming companies because they were working hand in hand. Bring back call centres to our countries and pay salaries to our local people!!!
I have to say, I'm pretty surprised that a gang of scammers has security cameras in their building. But then again, if you know you are a crook, it makes sense that you won't trust anyone else.

My mother wouldn't fall for these as she is tech illiterate. She just asks them how you turn the computer on that hasn't worked in 5 years and they get frustrated. She also doesn't own a cellphone.

My old man once got a call from a scam call center in india and he diverted the conversation for ages and then asked the question if they were from india, they said yes and he replied saying that he just got back from there on a holiday- they asked again what he thought of it and he replied " I though it was a shithole!" and hung up lol

I think the scammer didn't give a shit about his workplace. On a day to day life it's a paycheck to him at the end of the day and if something happens he'll probably move on to the next scam organization
Imagine being the woman, totally oblivious that she's being scammed, but even more so that there's an anti-scammer saving her at the same time, and she doesn't even know.
My husband and I were harassed for several months by an Amazon scammer posing as their fraud alert. They’re very good at running their scams. I said I’d hang up and call the fraud dept back from the number on my credit card and the scammer tried to convince me that wouldn’t work because he was in their special scam response team as events were happening, & the regular fraud dept wouldn’t have the information for hours. That is, of course, when I knew without question he was a scammer, and that he was in a way telling the truth: Amazon would indeed have no idea yet because the scam was happening while the victim worked with him on the phone.
As an Indian, I'm mighty proud of you, but at the same time ashamed of some of my countrymen and the law enforcement here who allow these low lives to operate with impunity.
For a lot of people it's really hard to get a job that pays as much as this. Plus the fact that western countries f'd over India so many times. In a way we really do owe you a lot. I'm not saying it's right but if you have a family to support it's probably quite easy to justify this

It really sucks, honestly. Too many tech-literate people with too few jobs available, and people will resort to this stuff. That's the reason why scam centers exist in every country but India is the one most known for it.
Look at the people carrying on in the building. They're not feeling bad about stealing from people. It's not just a few people in one building either, it's a culture of theft and deceit.
You hit a soft spot when you mentioned his family! He was talking away until you said family,you should tell them "I can get into your call center, maybe I should get ahold of your parents and maybe inform them of what you're doing"

@@anarchistangler The best prank of all would be to convince the call center staff that the office has to be fumigated (after releasing all types of pests into the area). Then, plant a timer-activated quick-release canister of VX gas in the ventilating system, triggered to go off at their busiest hour!
It's a little complex over there. These people usually hide in buildings with a business front (usually an ACTUAL customer service center) inside the main building while there's typically either a downstairs or upstairs part that is where all the scammers hide out. If government/law enforcement gets involved and goes to check out the building, they'll hide or go outside and say they're "on break" and clear out the room(s) with scammers and it'll look like an actual call center (sense there's multiple computers and headsets used just like inside the real call center inside the building). Sadly, this turns A LOT of inspections to come up with no proof, and now they're less likely to show up since it would technically be a waste of time, but people like this man who is able to not only show proof but mess with them and have them slip up (as well as Mark Rober and many others), it's making it MUCH more difficult to hide and slowly taking down each business.

Had a Navy Federal Impersonator call me saying there were unauthorized transactions on my account. Started to ask for credit card info and then I hung up and called my bank. Because they need full team and all pc system and everything. And these workplace is easily available on rent with almost everything they need. So these places are pre designed offices for rent.
The way they wanted to chat with you as if it were half time at a football match and everyone had good sportsmanship was something I was not expecting.
I think the best way to handle these people is to somehow try and expose them to their families. From what I have seen and understood from watching different scambaiting channels, many indians hate scammers and scammers try to do this 'job' without telling their families exactly what they do. I would love to see a video where these scammers' facebook page is located and footage of them scamming is sent to people they actually know. Is that going too far? I don't know if that would be allowed on UA-cam but I personally think these lowlifes deserve it

This is a pretty tough hack. On old computers, a hack could wipe the BIOS. On the other hand, a hacker could probably render it useless until the OS was reinstalled.

Do you assume that these corporations don’t hire tens, if not hundreds of them when cyber crime currently costs the world 8+ trillion dollars annually? Ethical hackers far outnumber unethical hackers.

Sad thing is we don't educate our elders in America of these scams. We need to have episodes on TV between shows like Jerry Springer and Maury so they will be forced to see these scams and learn. I'm the first generation of internet users so understanding scams isn't hard for us and I'm sure the next generation doesn't fall for this shit either. Which only leaves the last generation of elders, who are only susceptible to these scams. Personally ive dragged a few of these scams out around 3 or 4 days just too waste their time.

Imagine you’re on the phone w someone and about to give them money, then suddenly you get an anonymous message that says “Don’t do it.” I would hang up right there.

I dont know why there isn’t more information out there for people to see so they won’t get scammed. These people are stealing so much from us and it’s so hard to watch. There should be regular commercials or something on tv for the elderly and less informed. These scammers think we’re all stupid. It’s so sad. Just know what you do is so appreciated.
There is actually a lot of information out there. But the majority of people who are being scammed are either very old or have a disability of some sort. These scams are becoming more and more sophisticated and truth be told, everybody can get scammed on a bad day.... even Jim browning got scammed (he has a UA-cam channel like this)
@@anno41 yes I watch Jim also but what I mostly meant was maybe like have lots of stuff on tv for the elderly to see and I really wish more people would inform their parents or grandparents about how these scams work and the things they will say to them when they call.
@@anno41 Older individuals are more likely television watchers than big internet fans though. I know my grandparents their main use for a PC was printing out photos. So you wouldn't catch them on a computer for longer than necessary, which means if they did use the internet they might not have much idea about what they're doing.
Well they didn't steal from "us" since not everybody buys into money flipping and amazon trying to update security to level 5. There are several of them, doing different things to shut them down, Scammer Payback, Jim Browning and Malcolm Merlyn. Malcolm is using call-flooder to shut their numbers down.
It's absolutely *INSANE* how cordial that guy at the end was after getting confronted -- just chatting away, making small talk.... and then transferring the call to another guy! Just all in a days work for these folks! LOL It's really so pathetic, since, no doubt, these people have gifts and talents that could be far better utilized, for themselves and for humanity.
To be honest, I think **most** (not all) of these scammers just can't get any better work out there while supporting for their family. Them doing small talk at the end just shows that they also have personalities other than "Scumbag Scammer". They seem very starstruck with meeting scambaiter and was very exited. It was actually kind of wholesome watching that scene, with them meeting someone who they admire. Although with that said, these people did steal money from other vulnerable people, and that isn't good in any context, but we don't know the exact reason they're doing this and may just be forced to do these jobs and may be scared to whistleblow or leave because their lives might be endangered if they do so.

This is totally sad. As a Filipino who had worked in a Call Center before, I now understand why my customers are wary about other nationalities handling their accounts. Some of them think we’re scammers because of our national and accent because of scammers like these people. What a shame. No matter how hard life my get, please don’t engage in this kind of crime.
What always surprises me is how rude and impatient they can be while trying to ruing your life!

I had a Norton scammer send me an email saying they charged me $399, I called them and told them thank you very much because I usually pay $599 😆 he asked if I wanted a refund and I said why would I want a refund you just saved me $200, he got mad started swearing at me and hung up! I called them repeatedly all day from different numbers messing with them and making them very angry 😡

My husband and I were harassed for several months by an Amazon scammer posing as their fraud alert. They’re very good at running their scams. I said I’d hang up and call the fraud dept back from the number on my credit card and the scammer tried to convince me that wouldn’t work because he was in their special scam response team as events were happening, & the regular fraud dept wouldn’t have the information for hours. That is, of course, when I knew without question he was a scammer, and that he was in a way telling the truth: Amazon would indeed have no idea yet because the scam was happening while the victim worked with him on the phone.
As an Indian, I'm mighty proud of you, but at the same time ashamed of some of my countrymen and the law enforcement here who allow these low lives to operate with impunity.
I would argue that self hate is a worse crime than petty theft.

What Indian government is doing? Unbelievable
It's a little complex over there. These people usually hide in buildings with a business front (usually an ACTUAL customer service center) inside the main building while there's typically either a downstairs or upstairs part that is where all the scammers hide out. If government/law enforcement gets involved and goes to check out the building, they'll hide or go outside and say they're "on break" and clear out the room(s) with scammers and it'll look like an actual call center (sense there's multiple computers and headsets used just like inside the real call center inside the building).
Sadly, this turns A LOT of inspections to come up with no proof, and now they're less likely to show up since it would technically be a waste of time, but people like this man who is able to not only show proof but mess with them and have them slip up (as well as Mark Rober and many others), it's making it MUCH more difficult to hide and slowly taking down each business.

I thought the same as you. These people are there as if they are working any common day job like everyone else. Except their occupation is stealing money from unsuspecting people. I think the best way to handle these people is to somehow try and expose them to their families. From what I have seen and understood from watching different scambaiting channels, many indians hate scammers and scammers try to do this 'job' without telling their families exactly what they do. I would love to see a video where these scammers' facebook page is located and footage of them scamming is sent to people they actually know. Is that going too far? I don't know if that would be allowed on UA-cam but I personally think these lowlifes deserve it

This is a pretty tough hack. On old computers, a hack could wipe the BIOS. On the other hand, a hacker could probably render it useless until the OS was reinstalled.
Setup a phone whitelist and only accept calls from numbers you know and you will eliminate so much BS.

Sad thing is we don't educate our elders in America of these scams. We need to have episodes on TV between shows like Jerry Springer and Maury so they will be forced to see these scams and learn. I'm the first generation of internet users so understanding scams isn't hard for us and I'm sure the next generation doesn't fall for this shit either. Which only leaves the last generation of elders, who are only susceptible to these scams. Personally ive dragged a few of these scams out around 3 or 4 days just too waste their time.

I dont know why there isn’t more information out there for people to see so they won’t get scammed. These people are stealing so much from us and it’s so hard to watch. There should be regular commercials or something on tv for the elderly and less informed. These scammers think we’re all stupid. It’s so sad. Just know what you do is so appreciated.
There is actually a lot of information out there. But the majority of people who are being scammed are either very old or have a disability of some sort. These scams are becoming more and more sophisticated and truth be told, everybody can get scammed on a bad day.... even Jim browning got scammed (he has a UA-cam channel like this)

It's absolutely *INSANE* how cordial that guy at the end was after getting confronted -- just chatting away, making small talk.... and then transferring the call to another guy! Just all in a days work for these folks! LOL It's really so pathetic, since, no doubt, these people have gifts and talents that could be far better utilized, for themselves and for humanity.
To be honest, I think **most** (not all) of these scammers just can't get any better work out there while supporting for their family. Them doing small talk at the end just shows that they also have personalities other than "Scumbag Scammer". They seem very starstruck with meeting scambaiter and was very exited. It was actually kind of wholesome watching that scene, with them meeting someone who they admire.
Although with that said, these people did steal money from other vulnerable people, and that isn't good in any context, but we don't know the exact reason they're doing this and may just be forced to do these jobs and may be scared to whistleblow or leave because their lives might be endangered if they do so.
