My 65 year old grandma got one of theese calls. She trolled them for half an hour and then said that she works in the police department. It was hilarious to see the scammers reaction. (I was there but she handled it perfectly by herself, thanks to your videos. You're a legend)

20 yrs ago, fresh out of college, I worked for one of the first companies that set up call centers in India under the Clinton administration's outsourcing law change. They were still very frank back then in the two US offices about how they trained up staff in India: gave them a list of English names telling them to pick one they could pronounce the easiest and showing them episodes of Friends in training sessions to teach them american idioms. Pretty sad that those early centers for cheaper labor devolved into scamming.

I work in retail and recently saved an elderly gentleman $400 by pointing out that the person he had on speaker phone was trying to scam him!! The person on the line kept saying "No, no! Don't listen to her!!", until I suggested that he hang up and call the police!! Then, the scammer was quick to hang up!! Keep doing what you're doing so that people are more suspicious of these kind of calls.

Hey just to let you know I was able to successfully occupy a scanner's time for 12 hours or so. I'm thankful I was successful in keeping them from hurting others for even a small amount of time. I was talking to a scammer over Instagram for like 12 days straight, till he gave up and blocked me for wasting his time 🤣 it was GOLD.
I had a similar experience with someone pushing a personal loan one time. After about a month of nightly calls and me telling her she was going to get a harassment charge against her, she realized that this was going nowhere.

Most of the time I hate when scambaiters reveal, but he does it so well that it's hilarious; the subtle hints that he understands what they're saying, or going off on a seemingly innocuous tangent (so their guard is lowered) that ends with him talking about something local to them in their immediate area and hearing their reactions to that lol. Love that style of reveal!
It makes my blood boil hearing them being so rude and abusive to their customers. But it also gives me so much joy and satisfaction when Pierogi annoys the heck out of them😂😂😂

I show all your videos to my elderly mother so she knows how to protect herself. One scammer still got thru to her and she was on her way to buy a gift card for 500$. I just happened to call at the same time she was on the road. My dad who is 89 told me she was shopping and that their FPL bill was being cut off. Luckily I caught her before she got to the store. These people prey on the elderly and it is so disgusting!
Tell your mom that she can be sure of the status of her power bill by calling the power company herself, using their published number.

Their police department must be receiving bribes to look the other way and only raided the place just for show due to media pressure. There should be a public info campaign to inform the public about the scammers' modus operandi to warn them to avoid becoming a victim.

Elderly friends of mine have a Elderly friend who has been scammed 2 times in the last 2 months. First it was 1000.00 and 2 weeks ago it was 3000.00. they tolde he was too embarrassed to go to his bank and ask. He needed to barrow money from my friends to pay his electric and water bills, get some groceries and gas. This needs to STOP! This is in Dekalb County, Alabama.

She was so confused about everything she couldn't keep the story straight on who or what the money was for and cried in front of me from the stress.

I never get scam calls/texts but just a couple days ago got a call from ‘Norton’, I was in too much pain (I have chronic pain) to be bothered trolling them, plus I wanted to try this out, so I just said ‘Kitboga’ & there was a 2 second pause, then he hang up. I was most amused, a rare distraction from the constant pain. I’ll try Perogi next time, them Jim Browning. Good work, lads & ladies (& everyone in between)!

Since this call center was taken down I have seen my scammer calls go from 9+ a day to only 1 or 2 a day. I noticed this downtrend before learning of the center being taken down. Keep it up guys. I love it when they get shut down.

As an Indian who is natively from West Bengal, I feel ashamed that these scams are being run out of my home state. It degrades the very beliefs that India is known for and paints us as thieves. The corruption is so deep seated here that even on providing hard evidence on these scam businesses, they are still up and running, probably because they have the police and/or government officials in their pockets. PayPal phishing scammers recently got my mom for a couple grand as well... I think the embarrassment my mom suffered was worse than the money lost.

Not all indians are scammers guys i thought u knew that or are you people forgetting that were people too. Just because you see hindi dont mean u gotta delete it cause OOOO INDIAN THATS MY ENEMY

You guys are completely awesome. There aren’t enough positive adjectives to touch on how much this means to me and this community. I’ve been scammed. It was a local scam. They were good but still assholes. My family has almost been scammed but they caught on. It’s so frustrating that there’s really nothing I could do besides file a police report and contact the local company who the scammers imitated just to let them know. Watching you go after these people gives me hope. I will certainly do anything I can to help when funds become better. It’s rough right now but working on it.

All they hear is blah blah blah. Now speak Hindi or whatever language they speak in the region they are from and they'll know how to talk and respond nicely

Someone probably told the entire phone staff to use that line if anyone mentions the Saltee Business Park. Which means that someone had months to think of bad rhymes on their own address.

My mum was scammed just a couple days ago after receiving an, “Evri: missed delivery charge,” notification. She clicked and paid a few pounds, realised she’d been scammed and her parcel turned up a few hours later. I’ve passed your channel on to her! It’s pathetic how people will spend their limited time on earth scamming pennies from people who can just about live day to day.

A friend got a letter from "McAfee" that it was time to renew at a high price. He has Norton but thought they were the same. He called and wanted to cancel. After having installed anydesk he got pressured to provide his cell phone number. He got a funny feeling and decided to hang up on the call. Since then he has gotten 800 emails and dozens of cell phone calls. He has answered none of them but they were persistent.

These scammers call 10 times a day trying to scam my retired 80 year old parents. I'm begging you and your team to keep the heat on these criminals because the American government could care less. Thank you for your hard work and dedication in defending my family.

I changed my number after getting 7 in one afternoon. Here in Australia you can be put on a list. If I do a contest I sometimes get them as the contest people must sell your info. Wish you and your parents we,ll.
@lynette devries We tried the "no call list" and then report each individual number, which really does nothing. Instead, we have resorted to toying with the scammers to see how angry they get and how much of their time we can waste. Some of their angry reactions would make for great UA-cam videos. @Celeste Tudu yes, there are just a few offices that run these scams .. I'd say 97% of the offices are legit.. unfortunately the 3% would give a bad name to the building.
Most of these scam centres operate at night due to the time difference with US (their main targets), hence they go unnoticed as most offices are closed during these hours
Do they get arrested? They are scum . The good News is that Jesus will sort them out , the good from the Wicked. It’s not worth it to be in torment for Eternity all for the money you can’t take with you .
I know there are plenty of such comments already made, but let me reiterate, as an Indian I am extremely sad to know such things are occurring in my country, but also corruption is so rampant that as a civilian kid, I feel powerless against it 😔😔
I will say to you that you may feel you are powerless, but just the fact you choose not to take part in it means you have power. It is always easier to join what is wrong on a moral and ethic scale, it is harder to do what is right. You have power to do the right thing.
It is damaging, certainly. During a very nice conversation with an Indian guy on a plane, he told me that he works in IT in a call centre. From then on it became stilted as I could picture these videos of scammers.
