Professional rock climbers everywhere are cringing at this. I look forward to your video about how these models can’t use most of the photographs they took on the show in their portfolio.

Tyra's handling of Asperger's hurts me very much. I have it too and I act like Heather. This season disappointed me with how they handled Heather. Yes it may be easier for us to look at a imaginary person of screen then to look at the judges. I would do the same thing. In my opinion, its about how comfortable and trusting we feel in a situation. The judging panel isn't the most comfortable place to be in so we might not act right. Heather is a role model for us with Autism.

That "I felt I was like... A sea nymph on acid scaling a wall in the sunshine" was so unexpected Ms. Shay couldn't say a damn thing but "Ohhh... Okay". Smart girl.

They way they treated Heather (and other models with disabilities especially Amanda cycle 3) was terrible. They always expect them to act as if they are able bodied with no accommodations, when they ask for accommodations they are told "you can't have special treatment". They are manipulated into thinking they can't get help for their disability because they'd have an "unfair advantage" instead of yk- helping them perform equally well as the able-bodied people. This is something that's always bothered me, especially as someone with a mental disability as well.

Genuinely don't understand Tyra's line of questioning to Heather with Aspergers. Having difficulty with eye contact doesn't mean you can't ever focus your eyes. She said it herself, the person off in the distance is imaginary, they don't have real eyes to make contact with. Idk maybe it's my aspergers talking but it doesn't make any sense to me.

I watched "Top model Sweden" and I thought it was so boring compared to ANTM, so I always preferred ANTM. The challenges and photoshoots were so ordinary in comparison and now I understand why. They prepared them for a life in the real modeling industry. ANTM is just for the audience, they're not interested in teaching. So I understand that the photos from the show are useless in the real world.

As a climbing teacher….since they were not too high up, it wasn’t neccesarily putting their lives at risk..BUT the knots they were hanging on, are super sloppily made. with some of the later girls you can see see that the knot already lost one of its turns aka falling apart. also there is a bit much other stuff like cables in the way of the fall-line for my taste. wouldn’t have used a carabiner to the harness either, when they have to swing around for posing etc...jeez..if you go rock climbing, just hire a professional for a day.

BTW: the "Heather exchange"? Set up. The judges would go on to criticize her for always taking a "profile picture" instead of looking at the camera head on. Notice in this episode, she did look at the camera during the shoot--they just didn't use it. But they went on and on about how much they loved her profile.

I have been modelling for 20 plus years and started at 17 in Tokyo. Mr Jays vague and passive aggressive 'direction' would have totally thrown me as well, especially when you are young and new to it all, far away from your family etc. To be expected to know your body, angles, understand how you look on camera, 'go there' and not 'self analyse' is ludicrous. Also, I think Tyra asked Heather about her Aspergers so she (Tyra) could appear understanding. The judges are a bunch of arseholes.

I’m always astounded by Trya’s ability to come up with a myriad of ways to force these girls into cruel and unusual punishment under the guise of “modeling”.

When models don’t say when they’re uncomfortable: “Oh, I wish you told me!”

If you haven't done it already, I'd love you to review the next shoot of this season, where girls were portraying flowers because I don't agree with their elimination choice. It would be interesting to hear your opinion.

I loved Heather and they were so mean to her. I’m still mad about what they did to Jenah too.

I remembered this episode. Yeah, Tyra was such a mean girl to Ebony, probably because she favored...

I would love to see you review an episode of Naomi Campbell’s show The Face and how it relates to ANTM. To me, that show nails every area where ANTM is flawed. If I remember correctly, they show multiple photos the models took instead of one, focus WAY less on interpersonal drama, give practical real world feedback and the photoshoots are way more realistic. Would love to hear your perspective on it!

“We noticed you have a hard time with eye contact, so why can you make eye contact with an imaginary person so well?”
