Those are the one who pisses you off. They be flipping their hair saying girl it's just hair it grow back. Ppl fail to realize for some their hair takes forever to grow back , and if they lose the competition their mostly going to be stuck with a hairstyle the dont like and everyone's not able to buy extensions or wigs which be expensive so I can understand how those models feel when they are crying/upset having long hair and being force to cut it off.

I got alopecia, my hair randomly falls out from time to time and there is nothing that can be done about it. So i be looking like smeagol from time to time.

I shaved my head about a year and a half ago and i have super curly and frizzy hair (I’m Afro-Latina) and it took it that long to get it to my shoulders, and that’s with it straightened. I got my curls relaxed, but it just annoys be with the hate that Tyra seems to have for naturally curly hair, but she’ll gladly give someone else curl extensions or something like sis what????

Haha I love this, I had braces growing up and I can't tell you enough that you aren't supposed to do this. The only way that she could do this is if they consulted her orthodontist and she was almost ready for them to come off anyway. It's a very long process and you need to follow all the right steps just like when you're coloring your hair. It's going to look so wrong :(

That’s my exact attitude! Difference is that I had my hair long, then as a bob, grew it out again, and finally cut it into a pixie. I always question why people cry and I up thinking, “It’s just hair... it grows back.” But I know people actually value their hair because of its history or the effort it took to grow it out so I just end my thought with, “Who cares, you do you.” I prefer my hair to be short (I loved my pixie) because I gain more confidence than when I have it longer. :$

My problem with ANTM's "platinum" makeovers is that they *NEVER* ever tone it enough, if at all. They *always* lean pale yellow. I think if they actually got Amanda's hair white it would have been next level, like truly mind blowing with her eyes. It's a pet peeve I've had every single time they claim they're making someone's hair "icy blonde."

It's just the light and the photoshoot. Amanda's hand lotion picture her hair is iceblonde, her energy drink picture, ice blonde. Michelle post bleach with makeup by the Japanese makeup artist, ice blonde, her dog flower photo, ice blonde. But her topless promo shot, bc of the background and light, has hair is pee yellow. It's all about light. Like when you make someone smile against a white background and their normally white teeth look jaundiced yellow.

Well I'm a year late, but one problem with that theory, Recovering Christian, is that the exact opposite can be true. Photos can be edited (and they always undergo some editing) to, say, make the hair look icier than it is. When I would go Platinum it didn't matter what light I was under- it always looked WHITE. I went to great lengths to keep it that way though; constant toning, purple shampoo every shower, bleach roots when minimal growth appears to avoid "banding," etc. It's too high maintenance for me nowadays, lol. I doubt that they went to those same lengths to keep their hair from brassing in the house, and it literally only takes a couple showers for the yellow to start showing up in platinum hair. All that said, I'm sticking to my guns on this one and only reserving the smallest bit that they actually achieve a true white hair color that never, ever shows on camera. It just doesn't add up. Every photo of me taken from my platinum era looks platinum- no special lighting, filters or editing required. 🤷

Season 3 made some of the most famous girls from the show.. Eva is everywhere from acting to reality tv.... Yaya acting everywhere I feel like I watch everything she has an acting credit for.. And Toccara was hosting everything now has her own plus sized lingerie line also having her being the first black plus sized model in Italian Vogue.. at one point you couldn’t turn on the TV without seeing these women

I’m glad there’s another stylist that agrees with me when it comes to white girls hair being able to handle weave or not just because you can do it doesn’t mean it’s meant for their hair there’s also so many forms of hair extensions in the first place that their hair texture can handle
Yt women usually have more density and stronger hair types so weaves and hair extensions are actually better for them. Of people who get traction alopecia, almost all of them are black women.
I had hair that was horrid due to being blonde for a long time and after using hair extensions not clip ins.. Might i add i no longer need them and my hairs in the best condition its ever been and I wore them extensions for a good 5 years I still dye my hair to this day
its crazy because more famous white women wear extensions than black women tbh... like tape ins and microlinks have been used for years even clip ins lmao...
i went on a date once with a guy who told me "that white and Hispanic women dont wear extensions" and i was so confused because he thought this would be appealing to me because his preference was black women.

My mom is a hairdresser and we’ve done the sweetener in my hair before (back when I was doing normal color anyway) and it definitely made it a lot less itchy, so it works!

I get it. Lost my hair multiple times. Wig glue and wig caps are a life saver if you are having issues with them sliding off. Definitely has a learning curve and takes practice.
