    The secret: eat it while it's still hot. So the waiter cames with the meat, slice it and eat it. Imeditelly. If you refuse (and you can do it), they will be back later. Slice and eat. Simple, but it makes all the difference when that fat is melting, covering your meat.

    I'm from Norway and I have family in Houston, Texas. Everytime we're there, we make sure to visit the Fogo de Chao steakhouse in Houston and all the different meat is really delicious, I have the green side of the card up more than the red side lol! I wish Fogo de Chao had steakhouses here in Norway too, I would be a regular customer for sure!

      How much would an all-you-can-eat, high-quality steakhouse set you back in Norway? I'd imagine well north of the $50 it is stateside.

    I ate at the Miami Beach, FL location and thought that it was first-rate. $50 per person was a bit steep but worth it because everything was high-quality.

    Fogo de Chao in Atlanta is the best restaurant. I am not one to do reviews but this is the best place I have actually ever been too. If you love tons of different meats this is the place to go. Make sure you fast all day as it's pretty much all you can eat of 10 different types of steaks

    It's funny to see that outside Brazil, things that are just normal for us (like a steakhouse that serves meat this way or a "gourmet salad" or side bar in a place like this).
    But is awesome that we're showing our churrascarias to the rest of the world. Here is not considered a gourmet salad, but indispensable for any type of steakhouse. I never been in any "Fogo de Chão" but by this video I think that they're really representing part of our culinary.
    OOoowwww...and the Picanha! That's the best!

    in Porto Alegre, I think Na Brasa and also Freio de Ouro, are better than Fogo de Chão. I also like Schneider Churrascaria.

    I'd love to go to Fogo de Chao. I've been to Texas de Brazil, and while it was very good in its own right, I believe Fogo de Chao is better. My mother's been to both and she says that Fogo de Chao is better. The only issue is that Texas de Brazil is considerably closer to where I live.

      That's a lot. In Fogo de Chão in Portugal, the "all you can eat" is 11.50 € (about 13$) excluding drinks and desserts.

      I don't have Fogo de Chao where I live, but the closer to that we have, Batel Grill, is about R$ 75 ($ 22)

      Dizem q lá nao tem carvão como o nosso. O deles dá um gosto ruim na carne pois não serve pra essa função de defumar. Mas não sei se é verdade.

      You can have a preference between rare and medium, those are the only 2 doneness of grilled beef, anything apart from that you are wrong and are better eating a pasta or something else

      Que viagem. A maioria das churrascarias brasileiras assam no gás. Não fica tão bom quanto aquele churrasquinho no carvão, mas fica bom!

    Fogo de Chão is the representation of Gaucho culture, which is practically opposite to samba culture. At the beginning of the video they put samba as background music ... It's like making a video about country culture in the US and putting a rip-rop as background music.

      Well, traditionally we do it over burning charcoal, that gives it the best taste as far as I know

      Actually the most traditional way of doing it is digging a wide, shallow hole in the ground, filling it with charcoal, making a fire with it, and then putting the meat skewers in there. It takes hours to prepare the meat, but it's well worth it, it's the most tender meat you'll ever eat. It's what the name Fogo de Chão suggests -- it means "ground fire", but since this is an outdoors thing they can't do it in their restaurants. We here in southern Brazil don't do it a lot either, but in big gaúcho style family parties we may do it some times.
