Não é só nos EUA, no Brasil, em restaurantes é assim estabelecidas por normas sanitárias. Restaurantes não tem como ser como fazemos em casa, na churrasqueira, tem que ser assim mesmo.
1000 people on a weekend night, all of them served very very well. Pretty sure that's why when Katie says - . . and you don't want that to happen - or - . . that scares me - . . it's this uncomfortable silence from the staff. When you're doing this well in the food business, must be weird going to another restaurant, because what place is going to have the same level of food and professionalism from staff. Each person, taking care of their particular cut of meat, will serve 1000 people. It's just amazing. I do know one person, I think, who could handle this. She doesn't work at a busy place, but 50 people at the hotel bar/grill, she doesn't need to write anything down. In fact, no one who works at this place is allowed to write anything down. But she does that, and has time to remember what a twice a year visitor ordered first time he ate there. It's just cool that you can elevate a restaurant to be WAY beyond what the average food service worker could handle. I would think you need to be top 1 percent and a lot more to work at Fogo de Chao.
I am a Brazilian and it's very satisfying to see people enjoying meat as much as most of us Brazilians do. It is a nice experience for those who never tried a Brazilian Churrasco to go to these places, but what you end up getting is more of the Brazilian Serving Style experience of 'rodizio' (which is waiters coming to your table all the time while you have a buffet open for you and it's all you can eat), instead of the real Brazilian churrasco. You can only say confidently that you have tried Brazilian Churrasco when the heat for cooking comes from coal burning, not from an electric furnace. And in fact, lots of churrascarias in Brazil also use electric churrasqueiras. However, the smoke from burning coal gives the meat another level of tastiness. As a curious fact, the name of this place "Fogo de Chao" means something like "fire from the ground", which is the true way "gauchos" make their churrasco, in which they set fire to pieces of wood on the ground and stick their meat all around it. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/noVPbRhUsx0/v-deo.html. This is not a very common practice throughout Brazil though, and only few do it in the South of Brazil (a few gauchos). Instead, many use churrasqueiras (barbecue places) where they insert coal and burn it to use as heat for their meat. Rodizio is a very common serving style in Brazil, it all began in Steak Houses but it's also being widely common in Pizza places and Sushi restaurants.
Here in Brazil people love "rodízio" style restaurant. We have rodízio of barbecue, pizza and pasta, japanese food, mexican food. The problem with barbecue rodízio for me is that I dont eat too much and it is quite expensive. For me, its better to go for a steakhouse and pay for a specific cut of meat but I respect what they do. It is not easy.
I took my wife to Fogo in Providence, R.I yesterday and the experience was awesome! Great staff, great food, and great times. We even reserved a party of 5 for tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve celebration. It’s a great concept.
I went there almost every month with my family ....before covid that's , and their food is amazing , perfectly cooked steaks and lamb , also friendly and polite server's 10/10 would be back there again after they really have covid vaccine (that actually work).
Oh my - 1000 people in a night is insane. I work in a pretty big restaurant that's part of a small chain (~10 restaurants in total) and if we get 500 people on a Saturday then we'll probably break some sort of company record. We only have about 8 chefs and four bartenders, though. And two of those bartenders do 1-2 days a week. I'm one of the other two that does the rest of the week.
I’ve been to a couple & none were at the level as Fogo but I’m in the north east coast I’ll need to try the one in NY but the one in TN isn’t a option for me
I'm Brazilian and that's pretty accurate with what we have. But "fogo de chão" is actually a different way of barbecue. It consists of roasting a whole cow rib (each side separate) over an indirect fire and very slowly (4h-6h). The rib can be held in the center by a giant metal skewer or wooden pegs. The fire is made by logs around the piece, on the floor, in a circular shape, with good distance to promote an atmosphere of very hot heat around the huge cut. "Fogo de chão" means ground fire ...and it's even better!
@@thextrmntr at least the sitar is from that area. This would be like playing a sitar in a video about mongolia, or even britain since they were the ones that colonised it.

And is good to remember that our traditional drink is the "chimarrão" or "erva-mate" which is a dried herb, we drink it from a bowl called "cuia" with hot water and with a metal straw with a sieve in the herb far end.

I had my wedding reception there. It was marvelous. They did a fantastic job catering to us.
@@redyumi6441 awesome to hear you had a great experience on such an important day! Really cool to hear that.

Alguém percebeu a churrasqueira a gás ? Nós, Gaúchos, raramente usamos. Devem ser normas municipais, proibindo carvão.
Exatamente...
Não pode carvão ...
Porr@!
I've eaten at the one in Chicago. Amazing experience and amazing food.
6:12 man's was staring at our souls
That look so GOOD. I'm drooling.
I went to a place like this in Auckland where I live. Really beautiful food!
This is, in my opinion, the BEST steakhouse to eat at.
I took my wife to Fogo in Providence, R.I yesterday and the experience was awesome! Great staff, great food, and great times. We even reserved a party of 5 for tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
It’s a great concept.
I hope the employees are paid well
Why?

Que delícia isso! Adoro a picanha. Um dia eu gostaria de passar o sul do Brasil experimentar o churrasco lá tbm. Adoro a comida brasileira!
Seph Callaway vai ser bem vindo!🇧🇷
Beautiful to see that. Looks like exactly how they do here in Brazil. In other words, looks simple and delicious as it bust be!
I went there almost every month with my family ....before covid that's , and their food is amazing , perfectly cooked steaks and lamb , also friendly and polite server's 10/10 would be back there again after they really have covid vaccine (that actually work).
Is not anything close to real churrasco in south Brazil this ones are made in an electric grill is not real churrasco.

Fogo de chao is highly recommended!!! love it
Oh my - 1000 people in a night is insane.
There one in Huntsville, AL and it’s absolutely the best place ever.
Verdadeira churrascaria brasileira 😍💚
30£ for me and my lady plus 2 drinks and I can eat as much as I want , love it
Rioz in South Carolina is the best Brazilian steakhouse ever!
Fogo de chao is the best Churrasquería in the (US) period.
That's a pretty bold statement there, it is good, very good. However I urge you to try Plataforma in New York City It's on a different level.
Fogo de Chão is all name definitely not the best Estilo Gaúcho In Frisco is THE BEST!
Brazeiros in Knoxville, Tn puts Fogo to shame
I’ve been to a couple & none were at the level as Fogo but I’m in the north east coast I’ll need to try the one in NY but the one in TN isn’t a option for me
What about Rei Do Gado??
I'm Brazilian and that's pretty accurate with what we have. But "fogo de chão" is actually a different way of barbecue. It consists of roasting a whole cow rib (each side separate) over an indirect fire and very slowly (4h-6h). The rib can be held in the center by a giant metal skewer or wooden pegs. The fire is made by logs around the piece, on the floor, in a circular shape, with good distance to promote an atmosphere of very hot heat around the huge cut. "Fogo de chão" means ground fire ...and it's even better!
We got one in Niagara Falls Ontario (Canadian side of the boarder) and I had a great experience their! Will be back for sure!!! 🤙🇨🇦

Been there and multiple different Brazilian steakhouses and I highly recommend it. Delicious meats and it’s definitely worth the money.
Theres one of these in Pittsburgh i havent been to this one yet but i hear great things. Might go after work this week
I love that place!!! Omg such good food, love there all around the world buffet style salad bar!!
Why americans play Cuban sausa when they show anything related to Brazil? Lack of culture about the world?
Because they think of Latin America (and most every other macro region of the world) as one giant monolith.
they do the same with spain
Its the same as hearing a generic sitar with anything Indian.
@@thextrmntr at least the sitar is from that area. This would be like playing a sitar in a video about mongolia, or even britain since they were the ones that colonised it.
Yes.
It's very common to USA people not to know anything about the rest of the world.
This is the best ad for Fogo de Chao I've seen. Glad there's one in Puerto Rico!
Hi, i'm from south of brazil and this is really like a traditional churrascaria works, the video is incredible, but the music chosen to video was not a traditional gaúcha, so here I will suggest some:
Raul Barbosa - kilometro 11
Gilberto Monteiro - Prelúdio pra um Beija Flor
Rasguido Doble - Fulgor de Alborada
Renato Borghetti - Milonga Para As Missões
there are many variants of the music styles
We have too the famous "baile gaúcho" where we dance the "rancheira" and many other dace styles.
young people see it as a elderly hobby, so this tradition is slowly dying.
And is good to remember that our traditional drink is the "chimarrão" or "erva-mate" which is a dried herb, we drink it from a bowl called "cuia" with hot water and with a metal straw with a sieve in the herb far end.
Que orgulho ver um brasileiro bem orgulhoso de sua cultura, espalhando ela por aí

When you called in sick to work so you could go grab a good steak with your buddy and then a damn camera team rats you out to your boss.
It's truly an experience I'm looking for to having that experience again. Try it you will not be disappointed.
I've been to Copa Cobana in Toronto. Similar experience. Great food. Bonus mark for the Brazilian dance performance
