i live in Chicopee (Bernie’s is actually 3 minutes away from my house) and my grandparents have been here many times for their marriage anniversaries😳 & i’ve been here a few times when i was a child😭 i love that this is on youtube!
I’m from Holyoke and am absolutely SHOCKED that our side of the state is on UA-cam in general 😳🤗

I'm from Western Massachusetts and this place is a legendary staple.
It's in a small town called Chicopee.
You eat in the train car and their "small" kaboose cut of prime rib is bigger than anybody else's.
Chicopee is a city.
I wouldn't be surprised if barely anyone there has ever heard of chicopee before lol. It is a smallish City with nothing really memorable about it. Lived here my whole life

Oh my god......I've never seen a prime rib like that in my whole life......Bernie's cooks it perfectly and I am going to your gorgeous restaurant as soon as I can to fill my face with all your wonderful food.....I give it ten stars, for sure........
I love how the portions are huge and the train car is tiny.
Definitely not the kind of place you'd want to have to clear out in a hurry !

This is the one restaurant I go back to time and time again. Fortunately I attend a lot of events at the Big E fairgrounds so that gives me an excuse to go to Bernie's. While their prime rib is the best I have ever had, non-meat folks will be just as pleased with the seafood offerings. Huge portions, all cooked to perfection. I don't know how Bernie's does it. I've been there many times, and the food is always consistent, always perfect. And that's not easy to do with prime rib.
Prices are more than fair. The other day at lunch, I got a Yankee Pot Roast for only $7.95. The meat loaf was $6.95. The prime rib is the star of the show, but everything is excellent. I would drive here, (2 hours from home), even if I didn't have any other reason to be out that way. I've always gotten good service too!
Took my boyfriend here yesterday 7-30-17!! OMG!! The FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING!! I am still SO FULL!! We ordered the Whole belly clam appetizer, then of course we both got PRIME RIB!! I am extremely impressed with both the quality and quantity of their food! WTG/ KEEP IT UP!

I live in Milford Ma. so it is quite a drive to Chicopee however, I am tempted to take a long drive! It obviously the BEST restaurant I have never eaten in! I can tell!
My kind of food and setting. I would order a seafood plate and a Flintstone sized PRIME RIB! Left overs for a week!

This is one of my favorite places! The food and service is on point!
I drove all the way from WI to try their regular prime rib....................best drive ever and made me stay a night in a hotel and come back to eat it again the next day!!!!!!!!!!

@@peach495 no I haven't but my bf at the time would always point out the train car saying they have great food and we should go there lol. Never actually ended up going though... Right next to Bernie's is Westover which is a aircraft base as well so you see a ton of huge c130s overhead. Anyways I'll try going there and let you know how it is!

Possibly the best diner I have ever been too not only is the food amazing with huge proportions and very well priced the atmosphere and the staff is amazing

I live near this restaurant, unfortunately they just closed down. Best restaurant in the area, fantastic food. Great home cooking. Now we are stuck with chain restaurants.

Been there many times. Its not 5 stars, but the food is very good, portions HUGE and the prices very reasonable.

In case you're wondering: yes, I've ordered the conductor's cut a couple of times. Came close to finishing it both times (waitress was VERY impressed- I'm not a big guy - lol).
Funny thing about eating 3 pounds of meat: It loses its enjoyment after the second pound. That last pound and a half, you're just forcing it down the hatch... and then comes the desert. Lol
I love bernies! I dont live that far from Bernies so I used to go there a lot with my family growing up. I used to think the restaurant itself was super cool but the food was amazing too. 😊
