I don't know how Willie and Mark do it...their riffs are super complicated and require some serious pinky and ring finger gymnastics, but they don't SOUND super complicated. They found the perfect balance of technical skill and musicianship. Their riffs are catchy but also technical without being showoffy at all. And they're completely unique in metal
Agreed. Lamb of God is some of the most fun to play stuff for me, and a decent challenge for me for my skill level to play some of their harder stuff cleanly.
Hell yeah! And there's no break in the movement of that opening distorted riff... Willie and Mark said they like to play things that are difficult and this song is a showcase
2SICH playing resurrection man was the first video I saw of her. Still so impressive that she learned the song and produced a video within a few hours of the song coming out.
I'm a firefighter. During your rookie year, you are on probation and have to take a series of written and practical tests in order to pass probation and keep your job. The last test was the eleven month test. After a full day of testing and then passing, I got off shift in time to see LOG live in Reno. I've seen them many times since but that one was the sweetest.
It's edited together possibly because he made a little mistake or had to stop for some other reason. It's edited REALLY well and you can barely tell only by a slight sound in the audio and the head of the guitar.
@@ShadowMantraSteve Well that's the main thing! It comes across in the vids! If you're happy, we're happy haha. Keep it up! Looking forward to your next more in depth look at a song!
I think hourglass and walk with me in hell should change places then its all good, sick playing man I wouldve also put here in your words, that riff is nuts
Why is it LoG always seems to lead to GOJIRA or vice versa? My two favorite bands which I wish would tour together, don’t think they ever have outside of the planned 2012 tour which saw Randy run into that Prague BS so it never happened.
fun vid. great playing. my opinion... of the riffs chosen, Hourglass is the hardest for me to play at tempo and cleanly. the fast tempo stuff is easier for me than their fast-mid tempo stuff like the verse riff in Laid to Rest (at album tempo).
Hey Steve, i love your channel too much. I am able to play all these stuff but i should confess the intro of Walk with me in hell (with full speed) is the only thing that i cant play at this time. Please make a full video for that song.
In terms of trickiness I’d put the Hourglass vomit riff above Walk With Me In Hell. As The Palaces Burn/11th Hour also have trickier riffs I feel between Grace and Hourglass/WWMIH. And sometimes you might nail the notes but the groove part of it is another beast.

They're very well educated and versed in music. Most of the band all met in college.
@@piefliessooooo fun!!!!
"Grace" is one of the underrated tracks of LOG all time
One of my favorites
Wrath is underrated as hell, its my favorite followed by ashes of the wake
Makes a great alarm tone too. If my phone doesn’t wake me, my wife will!!
100% Agree.👌
Hell yeah! And there's no break in the movement of that opening distorted riff... Willie and Mark said they like to play things that are difficult and this song is a showcase
i will admit this....i clicked on this because of 2Sich and discovered this guy is a beast with a guitar!!
Welcome 🤘

I just got off AO probation and I’ve seen them three times! Going to see alpha wolf and emmure on the 16th
The eyebrows royalty reunites!
Ben Eller approves this
My favorite band of all time. Because they write some of the best riffs in metal. Lamb of God makes me happy 😁😂
Willie !!!!
Try some gojira, riffs are more tasteful
Mine too ❤️
Yeah. Riffs are tasteful. But vocals always brings me away from them...
@@JLHDrummer oh I love gojira trust me. Lamb of God is the band that got me into metal. Will always be my favorite
Lamb of God has been my favourite since I was 11. I'm 30 this year. I'm probably going to die with them as my favourite band.
I"ll join you mate. Just tell me you going up or down.
@@rishabhbose29 Bruh, transcend with LoG, why choose one direction when you could do both?
Walk with us in hell…
@@chipevans8239 I’ll hit dat with a like!
I respect that
Two sick channels in one sandwich, you love to see it
And you hated to see it end! Such bitter sweetness.
Blood of the scribe chorus riff is one of my all time favs if theirs
fr, and it’s tricky as hell
The Passing/In your Words - one of the greatest song to ever exist
Can't believe 11th Hour isn't on this list.
This saddens me
I know
Two of my favourite UA-camrs playing one of my favourite bands, AGAIN! 😁😂
Sooo many good RIFFS!!!! ♥
All the riffs!
Please tell me the name of the lady's youtube channel. Thank you in advance.
@@ashwinrawat9229 2sich
2sich flawlessly playing Resurrection Man..... 👌👍🤘
It's not exactly a hard song to play
Dang, even throwing an absolutely perfect version on the passing in there. Wrath is just SO. DAMN. GOOD.
Me: Grace is so fast
Embers: Hold my beer.
Embers is straight insanity. No one is playing that without chops
Yep. Once they played embers I was like, what's harder than embers?
I need to learn more LoG riffs now that I bought a Jackson Dominion. They are just as tasty as Marks guitar.
Yo the passing is so beautiful yo.. that intro is so dope.
And hourglass Mann!
Great tone, its clean, not muddy, awesome job!! Mam nadzieję, że dobrze sobie radzisz. Czekamy na więcej filmów.
Lamb of God is LIFE! And this video was awesome, great work!
Thanks 🤘
Just LOVE when you play with 2Sich. Love you both! Great job btw...
Thanks 🤘
Such a legendary band.
i simply love The Passing/In Your Words
Haha I almost didn't catch that at 3:47! Smooth editing skills as well as on the guitar 🎸
catch what?
It's edited together possibly because he made a little mistake or had to stop for some other reason. It's edited REALLY well and you can barely tell only by a slight sound in the audio and the head of the guitar.
Nice riff choices and great vid to collab on. Killer playing from both 🤘😝
Thank you as always!
Delusion Pandemic is my favorite LoG track. I have to go listen to it again right now.
This is a awesome video. And the playing is incredible 💪💯🎸🧨🔥
How did that one SUPER stretchy (at least for people with smaller hands) riff from laid to rest not make it haha. Nice vid man.
Lamb Of God riffs are so fun and unique that it makes my feet move almost involuntarily .
Hourglass. So underrated. Glad it's there
2SICH - One love \m/
awesome sound dude!!
Thank you 🤘
Great video mate! Love these "Level of" vids!. Definitely keep making them! All your vids are great content 😄

Awesome collab!
How did blood junkie not make the list 😯
I'm sure it was a tough pick.
Love your covers as always and love LOG❤️
I think hourglass and walk with me in hell should change places then its all good, sick playing man

Thank you! In your words is a tricky one, especially on bass

Saw them both at Aftershock 2019 🤘 hopefully be seeing Gojira there again this year
For the time, all we’re getting is a collaboration track called Adoration for None
LoG , Trivium, MH and Gojira toured in like 07 in NA
Well my dear freind i got good news for you, knotfest 2021 indianola. Check out the lineup))))
i mean randy is a huge gojira fan and he was on adoration for none so that could explain it lol
Lamb of God is a band I still haven't checked out. I know they are God tier but it's like.. am I ready?
You’re ready, just strap in because it’s a hell of a ride! 🤘🤘🤘
This guy should win : Faces of Rock while playing guitars
Great Video
Perfect your perception and graduation for the levels!!!.. excelent!!..
Awesome, both of you killing it as always
Thanks 🤘

Honorable mention for "Visitation" first riff
Brillant content bro.
Thank you 🤘
Embers are amongst of my favourite Lamb of God's song. The others track are also killing it!!!
LoG write some of the tastiest riffs in metal today.

I did a cover a few years back but I'm thinking of redoing it again with tabs. The intro is quite tricky until it's in your muscle memory.
How is that even possible dude , if you can play all of these walk with me in hell is a piece of cake 🥺
In terms of trickiness I’d put the Hourglass vomit riff above Walk With Me In Hell. As The Palaces Burn/11th Hour also have trickier riffs I feel between Grace and Hourglass/WWMIH. And sometimes you might nail the notes but the groove part of it is another beast.
im so glad you didn’t put laid to rest on that list😂 perfect vid
Delusion Pandemic must have the coolest riff ever 🔥🔥
That was…2 sick 🤘
Badass bro, greetings from Brazil
Thank you 🤘
🤘🏻🤘🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷
Delusion Pandemic is by far their most underrated song. It's such a banger and I love its outro so much
Blood Of The Scribe
Approved, I love you both!
Thanks 🤘
Awesome!!
Thanks!
I would put Terminally Unique in there, actually a very unique song
i would add Omerta at the very first place => it's the first song i learnt as a beginner and i can do it till the end...
so hard that his beard grew
awesome work!
Great tone!
Thanks!
Damn! Young Danny McBride straight shreddin’ Jokes aside, awesome playing and compilation!! 🤘🏻
Cool!

Very good!
Thank you 🤘
My left hand is cramping just watching that. Pretty sure i saw the fretboard smoking at one point too
Anybody else thought, hey look it's Joel playing some Lamb of God!
No seriously - both of you, amazing!
Thank you 🤘
God damn I love you guys, this kicks so much ass! Amazing as always. Have you heard Condemn the Hive? The breakdown riff is something else!
I have, the bonus tracks are all so massively under rated!
@@ShadowMantraSteve They really are! Digital Sands was amazing too.
Almost all of these are in my metal mix playlist. One that seems would be really hard is The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion.
I haven't looked at that song for a long time but the section near the end is pretty tricky!
Beastly 🤘🤘
Great job ! ✌🤘🎸
Thanks!
This was awsome!

Thank you 🤘
i really like that white dean. very nice.
Thank you, plays really nice!
Lamb of God riffs look really easy on the tabs, but getting the right groove down is the hard part.
You and 2Sich belong together 🤘
Awesome job!!
Thank you as always 🤘
From easy to slightly less easy
9 levels of Trivium riffs please
Of August burns red
Holyshit I started covering them with Hourglass and Now You’ve Got Something To Die For. I should have known there was something wrong back then LOL
I'm sure I start with hourglass, 11th hours and walk with me in hell. It was a good challenge!
So epic 🤘🏽🤘🏽

Damn that was good
EMBERS what a Riff! still learning the speed to get to play it hahaha
It's a tricky one at full speed for sure!
Respect for 2SICH
forgotten (lost angels) is one that kicks my ass everytime I try to play it
I have that exact Ibanez Gio in white instead of black
man u good along way i have to go .. not a note missed
Bro that dean cali is a beauty, your one of the few guitar players that I seen using that shape! Shouts to Rob barrett of cannibal corpse!
The world needs more Caddies!
@@ShadowMantraSteve Hell yeahhh!
blood of the scribe is one of the hardest
Lamb of fu**ing God!!! Your play through is like a workout warm up!
Thank you, I guess it is almost a warm up!
Straight for the sun is so gnarly though!
Grace = Best LoG song of all time, what a masterpiece
Buddy I'm a huge LoG fan, was a Cover band Screamer (terrible) but your face and skills make me wanna get back in this gig! you shred mate
Thank you 🤘
That damn riff in Hourglass...
Gonna need 9 levels of Devin Townsend next. May include all projects and works.
3:12 this sounds for me like Holy Wars, or something like that
Tbh LOG made me fall in love with metal
