    Fantastic and well produced video. I pulled the trigger on a steam deck last night. The emulation features, plus the ability to remote play on my PS4 were the clinchers!

      You can also swap top and bottom screens on the steam deck with a button, useful for nds and 3ds

    I'm stoned and focused in on your channel and the quality of the video not the content. You have quality work here, your video is well put together. I've tried twice before to be a youtuber, once seriously and once as a hobby for a while and both failed as channels but I had fun making them so that why I'm more focused in on the technical aspects.
    1) your scripting and reading, enunciation, and charm on the camera are well done no ums, just well done scripting and reading. Your eyes do jump around a little showing your looking at the script and then at the camera side by side but I it's only noticeable if your looking for it.
    2) your editing and camera is great in my opinion, you have a clear understanding of the process and did a fantastic job.
    3) great background, nice collection!
    I just wanted to say I appreciate your videos, great job!

    I found myself mostly playing dreamcast, ps2 and gamecube games. Widescreen hacked and upscaled they look just like I remembered them and give decent battery life too. Other use was for visual novels. Getting Japanese VNs to work required pit of tinkering but Deck is perfect for reading VNs on couch or bed. Ps3 titles I was interested in worked mostly fine but you are looking about 2 to 3 hours of playtime per charge.

    If you go to the rcps3 compatibility list and click on the playable game titles it will show a wiki with the proper configuration to run each game flawlessly
    I got Dark souls running 60fps perfect on my steam deck

    8:30 Respect for being such a completionist thet you tried to play Ps3 Emulated Dark Souls, even if there is already the PC optimised Steam version. 😅
    On a serious note, all these videos are slowly convincing me to buy the Steam Deck, once I start having a full salary.

    The only issues I have with the Steam Deck is the light bleed on the screen, I like the screen itself but an OLED model would make it next level, and I wish it had just A LITTLE bit more power for some more ps3 and better pc performance. I'm nitpicking but it does everything I want it to emulation wise PS2, GC, Xbox, Wii, Wii U, a good amount of 3DS, some PS3, and some Switch, and PC, the software experience is unmatched

    Hey GameXData !! Awesome video !!! 👏 👍 💯 I'm a new steam deck owner. This video is awesome and informative. I have a question though. How well does a game like Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 run in the deck ?? I'd say the majority of the reasoning behind me choosing the steam deck is for a emulation handheld. The rest of the device is just a huge bonus !!.

    • @GameXData
      @GameXData  4 місяці тому +1

      PS2 emulation on Steam Deck is solid with no real faults noted for the games that I've tried. I don't personally have a copy of Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 to test myself, so I couldn't comment on that specific game. If you have a Steam Deck and a copy of the game, you might be best testing it on your own hardware to see if the performance is right for you.

      Which emulators don't work well for you? During our testing (and usage since the video), only emulation of certain PS3 games have really felt unplayable.

    • @JeromeADavis
      @JeromeADavis Рік тому

      Your comment is lacking tons of information and bro people follow these guides on the videos and get the same or better performance so what are you talking about? You can absolutely emulate every console in existence except for PS3, and I don't know about Xbox 360. Other than that literally every console can be emulated and newer consoles actually have their games on steam so with this single device you can play nearly every game in existence. There's just nothing you can say to make it seem like a downside.

  • @Gunnumn
    @Gunnumn Рік тому

    Everything pretty much caps out with emulating 360 and ps3. Most of the games on those platforms have pc versions that run better. Plus you can remote play directly from your xbox with greenlight.

    Not to mention all of the cracks you could ever want if you are feeling spicy. I personally haven't since 2010, but I kinda want to grab some of those ps games I already bought. I wouldn't really know where to go these days though.

    Idk, I’ve had a lot of games have slow down on Wii and PS2, turning down threads in power tools helps a lot with some ps2 games… but some games, like SSX 3 for instance (on ps2) has a serious amount of slowdown for me…
    Not so on Gamecube though, dolphin is a much better emu

    can't any one knows eny computer that is not good on Emulation ? i mean event netbooks are good for Emulation

    • @GameXData
      @GameXData  Рік тому

      As someone who owns a variety of computers, not everything is actually good at all types emulation. Especially in the handheld and smartphone range, there's typically an upper limit as to what the computers can actually do. For less powerful machines, that's usually around PS2 and Gamecube since Wii U and PS3 can be really resource intensive.
      That's not even to mention the variety of form factors available. Even if a device can emulate a console, it doesn't always mean it'll be the most comfortable option. As an easy example, the Steam Deck can technically play DS games well, but a single screen isn't ideal to emulate dual screen games. For a handheld device, something with a second (or squareish aspect ratio) screen will probably make more sense.

      @watercat1248 Рік тому

      @@GameXData is true that not every emulator is the perfect experience on computer and some computer is not as powerful as other however
      Ther many game that have PC port almost in eny computer you able to add doual screen (multiple monitors) with a cable as for touch screen gyros ECT I don't know how easy it is to implement that in computer but I know that is possible even if the need a lot off twining and software in the order to manger that
      For example most netbook don't run ps3 games because is under power and same computer don't run ps3 games with emulator but it may play the PC Ports off those games if the game is not graphics instesing as for old console like GBA NES SNES and DS mames I think most cumpters run those games with not problem
