This was amazing, thanks a lot. I actually spent months setting my Deck up just how I like it, without using Emudeck, then when I installed Emudeck out of interest it reconfigured everything so lots of stuff no longer worked and it was a total headache unpicking what it did. So I did a factory reset and followed your guide to get back to where I was - plus Retro Achievements, Wii U gyro and smooth Rogue Leader emulation! Very nice :D. And I forgive Emudeck because it’s incredible.
Closest guide to what I was looking for. I wanted to know the optimal power tools settings for the heavy hitting emulators, especially Citra, Dolphin you've shown is basically 4 threads, so I'll try that when I get around to GC emulation, thanks!

Was a bit tough had to really use a Bluetooth mouse and I'll use a Bluetooth keyboard but so far so good no one else mentioned developer mode or any advanced stuff. Great guide just subscribed. i was moving alot of files and extracting them. apparrently sometimes when mulpiple precesses are going this can corrupt this json file extension i guess. but yeah, i'm googling how to get to the file path. i tried searching in doplhin but for some reason the virtual keyboard doesn't work at the moment so i restarted the steam deck. now let's see what happens.
49:50 as you can see, the clock speeds didn't go up from limiting the threads, that's because you didn't disable SMT. When you limit the threads without disabling smt the clock speeds don't go up much if at all from limiting threads. At least in my experience
My file sharing isn't working. All the pathways, file names, computer name and sharing options are all as they should be by following your instructions but when I try to connect it just says "unable to connect to server. please check your settings and try again." Everything should be working fine. Its all running under the same network too.
i'm at 42 minutes of the video. i have the bios checked for ps2. it's green chek marked. i have 2 games. wich it showed on the preview. i open steam but i does not show emulation station.
Any advice for troubleshooting gyro? Attempting to install gyroDSU, the Konsole pops up and shows install completed, but in Cemu controller config i do not see the option to add gyro to my deck or an extra controller. 1) does this only provide gyro for the deck itself, and not other controllers? 2) is it compatible with 8bitdo controllers?
i'm having some serious issues trying to install emudeck. i'm formatting the sd card again and i will download the executible file from the emudeck once again and see what happens. also i'm having trouble getting into the discord server. it says to verify my email. but if i type my email it says it's already used. wich is me. so frustrating. i feel frankly dumb for not getting it to work after 5 install tries and knowing what to do and where to look in the folders. i've gotten 4 our of all the emulators to install. although the ps2 emulator makes my cursor freeze in desktop mode once i've opened it. so here we go again i guess. i'm close to giving up honestly.

@@ArchadesGames Tried that multiple times thinking that might fix it. That, restarting and shutting down didn't help. I do get an error when I run in konsole "error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory."
@@ArchadesGames Update, I'm trying to emulate Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope but whenever I boot up the game I get a grey screen but when I press the Steam home button it shows the actual game I'm also running the game under Ryujinx
There will be other trade offs like no 4K output on some cores because of Steam Deck's GPU power but overall The experience with Steam Deck is far superior especially when you can take it anywhere. N64 is also able to use the proper plugins to make it not suck. And Wii U, some PS3/360 etc.
Any advice on a skin to add to the steam deck I'm talking about decal on Amazon many choices but a lot of people say it doesn't fit that well so I don't want to buy garbage. Also anything with some grip would be good also if anyone has any recommendations I appreciate it. Happy gaming everyone!

For some reason GyroDSU won't install for me through EmuDeck, it says installed and runs the command thing but then when I exit as it asks to press any key to exit I just get a red circle logo with the a diagon line across it for ages. Should I just wait a long time???

nice got most of those working, amiga cd32 just gives blackscreen even though i have the bios any ideas? have you tried it yet?

You can just update to it by running the installer again if you already have it. But Vita was added, profile optimizations, updated emulators etc.

You can hook up a keyboard and mouse to the steam deck or make a controller profile for any particular game

Sounds like a screen priority issue that happens on steam Deck. Not sure about a fix atm
@@ArchadesGames Ok after setting Ryujinx to not launch a game in fullscreen the issue as been resolved
You need the 2 files. If it still does that with both selected it doesn't like the one you have. Xemu is not very nice about them sadly.

I'd say that the keys are likely wrong for the game in that case or the files possibly in the wrong location.

Steam Deck is way better than Xbox as it isn't limited to Direct X

It isn't setup to automate that. You can redirect games in emulation station I imagine.
