    Great intro comments and walkthrough.
Hoping this and Sotto come up during the xmas sale in progress.
Never gave Sonokinetic a 2nd thought until a few days ago.
I was asking in a forum about different meters (3/4, 7/8, etc.) - it can be done.
And extended chords (7ths, 9ths, etc.) with the harmonic shift function is fantastic.

Hi Don, great review. can you tell me what is your touch screen you have above your keyboard?

Alan Keogh Thanks for the question. It's not actually a touch screen. It is an older 21" apple cinema display. I keep almost flat because I have a 40" monitor in the front. I've tried side by side dual monitors but I prefer to look up and down. I keep my mixer in the lower monitor and my tracks in the upper monitor. I have looked at a couple touch screens so I might go that in the future.

Thanks Don. Me too. i also like having the idea of a touch screen close to me.

Hi Don, great review! Really helpful and thorough. Do you have any recommendations on which library you consider to be the best out of the current sonokinetic section? I know grosso is specifically more for big pieces but capriccio seems to incapsulate quite a bit of this whilst also providing options for slower pieces. How do you feel about the libraries?

Hey. Can't go wrong with any of them really. The new 'Sotto' library is great for gentle and minimal stuff too.

does it recognise chords such as suspended or with 7 and 9
    added ?

The harmonic shift function allows you to mix and match major and minor triads to create different progressions and build 7th chords over roots (so there is some thinking involved) but you won’t find diminished or augmented chords in the library playback

thats not soo good,300 for a library that doesnt include even that its not worth it,at least not for capriccio wich sounds a bit generic comparin with sotto
      Thanks for the asnwer

Way too expensive, even worse when UK put the tax on!

As a hobbyist, yeah. But they don't price libraries for the hobbyist. The price is always for the professional.
