One of the most sobering McDonald's quarters we've heard in quite some time, says Evercore's Palmer

- David Palmer, Evercore ISI senior managing director, joins 'Squawk on the Street' to discuss what to make of McDonald's latest quarterly earnings results, what would take McDonald's stock to $330 a share, and more.
The McDonald's menu is now in the same price range as better quality options.
Our Chick-fil-a restaurants stay busy here in Virginia. They got the consumers and the workers.
I guess this is a good sign. Consumers are finally adjusting behavior so that should put an end to inflation.
Good. Their prices are egregious. They are price gouging the hell out of everyone.
I'll make this as simple as I can. When the choice is between a Steak or a combo meal at a fast food joint ... the Steak wins.
Here’s the problem with McDonald’s a McDonald’s meal is around $12-$13 in my area however, when I go to a restaurant or diner, I can get the same thing for equal price or cheaper which has a better quality burger to it. How can you fight that?
I learned recently that I have been overpaying McDonalds, and that I could have gotten the exact same food for cheaper if I used their app and gave them my data. Needless to say, I'll never eat at McDonalds again.
Prices are far too high . I got a coffee in Los Angeles last week for $3. It was so badly burnt I asked for a refund.
prices are high because fussy customers keep demanding refunds which causes profitability to plummet
McD went too far with their price gouging.
I mean, not Tesla level price gouging, but yeah, pretty far.

McDonalds has high prices, poor quality, and even shrinkflation so customers are losing value on every front when they go to McDonalds, and its not because of high wages and inflation. You can get a good meal at local dine in options and even chain restaurants for the same price.
This is great news!
20 dollar labor is not what is driving up costs. Their burgers literally cost about 1.30 cents to make........they put a 300 to 1000 percent price premium above their cost. In Finland the employees make like 21 a hour and the burgers actually cost less.
In the $20, it's only for one state where as they are raising prices all over the country.
@@teebone2157correct California, where the cost of living is very high relative to the nation, so it’s far from an excuse for a corporation of the size and with resources as effing McDonald’s. For them or anyone to blame a few dollars per hour above slave labor wages to the workers operating your business for any of their issues would be truly pathetic. I know it happens. I hear it.
I go on the app. Get the free fries… buy a burger for a few bucks. Grab a seltzer from my fridge and I’m set. People buying the meals are nuts
Ill be honest I have a food truck that has the best smash burgers around they are $5 for a single $7 double $9 triple so right around the same price as McDonald's burgers I grab a burger every Friday, then swing by McDonald's for Free Fries Friday in the app and grab a $1.5 coke. End up with a way better double burger, fries and a drink for $8.5
Thank you Democrats. Thank you.
You're welcome. There are better options than McDonalds.
How???
@@teebone2157 you ruined everything you touched.
Trump sold out his people as well. President wrap speed. President close factories in Mexico for cH11Na. Sell farm land in the Midwest close to b@ses to
With those prices I rather just eat at in n out
They'll survive
these analysts obviously havent been to a Mcdonalds in some time.
There prices are considerably out of line with the quality, or rather lack thereof, of product they serve
Value messages aren’t going to convince a consumer to spend their money.
As everyone says, the prices are too high. They keep pushing price hikes through and say “the consumer is strong” but that won’t last forever and here we are. App is the only way you buy that garbage.
They could've easily started making their own bread at restaurants in order to avoid this ridiculous wage law and they won't... So it's intentional and people are not ignorant to this so goodbye McDonald's.
I bought a Blackstone and some hamburger. Problem solved.
Listen to that chick complaining that poor people are not going enough to McDonald’s prop up their portfolios in the panel
None of the analysts or hosts understand what it is to be poor or middle class, the blonde makes mid six figures. Listen to how he refers to them " the low income cohort " ...lol
All respect to all boycotters
fast food equals 2 things.FAT & SODIUM. neither are good for health.may as well eat a tub of lard covered in salt.
Can't go wrong with grilling a burger at home with copycat Mac sauce.
Can't grill a burger at home when you're on lunch break or in a rush hence fast food but you can call in an order to a diner or mid range joint 15 min in advance which it seems ppl are wising up & doing.
@@cedg5634 Ok. For work, I bring my own lunch. Assuming the average working individual has a day off, then yes, you can grill at home, or you can pan sear if you have no grill.
You can make it better hamburger at home
🤣😆😅😂
Ew i rather to go a real restaurant with 2 3 dollars more , MCdonald food is 🤮
Only robot 🤖 McDonalds making the food will lower the prices unfortunately due to the inflation economy we are in
Well yeah that food is doodoo
The ladybus delusional, McDonald's is not good value or a good deal.
The low income consumer is not struggling it's don't no one want to pay that much for a burger that might come messed up McDonald's sucks
