people are complaining about how fast the game got boring but i think you’d get burnt out from most games if you play it for hundreds of hours in a few months
I used to play everyday and got a little bored after a while. I now play every few days and it’s always just as fun! If you abuse of something, it’s natural to get bored. I did the same with Stardew Valley.
mint mint yes! Feels so unfinished still in my opinion! Once we get something like the fireworks that just happened this August and we do it and do it then it’s old after a week and we have to wait months or a month till something else /: ( just my opinion in no way tryna say anyone’s wrong!) (:
I thought he was annoying as hell because everyone was obsessed with him, then he showed up in my campsite, i took him in, and he really grew on me. Not my fave smug type still, but he's really cute
Eva Smiljanić same I ended up giving him to my friend since he’s her dreamie and i’m so glad she doesn’t put him in maid outfits and didn’t threaten me just bc I had him.
dude dialogues in AC are always repetitive in late game, *specially if you rush through the game* , but man, is ACCF's dialogue really repetitive? YES! at least in NH they talk about different stuff and there's more personality types, in CF the only way to get the villagers to talk about something other than the places they are next to and the weather/furniture, is by making them talk to other villagers.
Personally, I can't say I have too much of a problem with it, but having more dialogue would be great. If anything I'd just like more interaction that the occasional fetch quest.
I wish I could turn OFF the background music. There was at one point where my game glitched and I didnt have background music for almost 10 minutes (it came back after I went into my museum) and it was SO PEACEFUL! I could hear the water from the river and the waterfalls sounded nice, and everything was just so calm and lovely. I would REALLY love to just be able to turn it off. Edit: Also that would help with hearing balloons and stars better. The music can really drown it out.
I haven’t heard that since the first day i got my peppy. You have to raise your friendship level. I give all my villagers gifts a day. It comes with new dialogue
I kinda let myself get convinced by what everyone said about pear trees being ugly until I started watching the videos Stale Cupcakes makes. She's the first person I've seen really incorporate pear trees into her island and they just look so pretty imo.
Connie Stephens honestly i hate the hype for peaches and i do not get why they care about native fruit since native fruit sells less I also don’t get how people saw the peaches as ‘rare’ since getting peaches as native/mom/sister fruit is the same chance as pears
I was happy I got pears because my first animal crossing game (city folk), I got pears. I don't care for pears in real life, but Korean pears are my favorite fruit
most of the critiques about nh has to do with how the game has completely shifted focus from a life simulator, with npc interactions, more diverse character dialogue, mutual benefit between player and villager, and hard to reach long term goals, to a designing game, where the focus is about building your island/house/character's collection, and the villages act more like decoration, and events, like the fireworks, act more like photoshoots for you and your online friends.
Yeah the villagers are just more of a pretty decoration rather than actual islanders in this game, the dialogue feels so empty and I miss the villager dialogue from NL and the other games
Opinion: they should make the villagers like the gamecube version. I want my mortal enemys back. Also dialouge gets really boring like if you have 2 smug villagers they say the same thing over and over
I feel like at the beginning people either loved Raymond or just didn’t have an opinion on him but after the ac black market became a thing and people would go crazy over a made up cat it just created a war
I think the Raymond's Hunters squad is why he gets so much hate, I kinda feel bad for the poor cute looking bunch of pixels being treated like merchandise.
@@puppycat1649 imo Raymond doesn't look really cute, he's like an edgy teen with the hair on his face and the fact that people literally pay for him just because of his glasses and eyes...another thing about his eyes is that the combination of both his eyes and his glasses reminds me of that minion and also the minion "memes", which is really cringy, I'm not saying I always compare the eyes of different colors with cringe and minions, it actually looks pretty cool irl, but Raymond and that minion make it really cringe
@@AmyTheMeower I'm the same. I don't find him ugly but not particularly cute either. There are so many cute villagers I really don't get the obsession on him
I feel like people not liking villagers is more them not liking a fanbase for a villager. Otherwise not liking Raymond means you wouldn't be able to like any other smug villager since they all have the same quirks and dialogue. Being annoyed with a villager's fervent fanbase, however, that makes more sense.
In acnh personally, I'll like a character for how it looks, because at this point what else is there to like them for. I don't like Judy, she's ugly as hell to me, maybe I'd like her if I saw her in an older game with a more fleshed out personality.
The reason I don’t like the concept of wanting popular villagers is I think it’s stupid to get a villager you don’t personally like just because some people on the internet like it. Also Judy just seems like a stupid airhead
I don't hate any villager tbh but I hella agree, the Raymond/Judy fanbase is annoying AF, most of them are the ones that trash any other villager that's not on the "populars" list. I pass on every villager hunt that starts with "hunting for popular villagers" or HAVE TO check the rank to decide if they like them or not, like don't you have a PERSONAL opinion or likes? it's boring.
Unpopular opinion, but I think we need more personalities in the game besides the 8 we have. It’s pretty annoying to have 2 or more villagers with the same personalities and dialogue
That's not really an unpopular opinion, but I do agree with you. Actually, I think a cool next step to add more variety to the personalities would be to add 8 "sub-personalities" kind of. The villagers new "hobbies" kind of do this, but they only add to behavior; it'd be cool if the villagers whose hobby was "play" would talk about that sometimes, with unique dialogue for every personality type pertaining to play. Same with exercise, or study, etc. Or something like that, maybe more personality-centric traits, like "paranoid (talking about silly conspiracy theories)" or "spiritual (talking about meditation, personal reflection, etc.)" or "snobbish (talking about money, expensive things, etc.)" It'd be a nice way to add new variety to each of the villagers, without over-complicating the necessary "template" style the personalities have.
Imagine villagers that are actually rude and meant to be “unlucky”. They can have some sort of “bully” personality, and will constantly try to make you hate them by saying rude things, or possibly running over flowers. I feel like having a sort of enemy or nemesis in the game would add some flavour to it, without making the existing personalities too rude. (Though, I still want to be called a poopoo head by a lazy villager. That would be funny)
Its not the personalities thats the problem, originally every character had an actual backstory along with Hobbies that determined what quests they would give you. It was always 8 personalities, but there used to be a reason to get to know each character. Now you can just pick the 1 Jock that looks the best and you now know every jock in the game.
@MiloneMysteriesYT Ah you're right. But in NH case extra personalities wouldnt do much without fixing the dialouge system as a whole, bc they would also just start repeating each other the same way.
I don’t think I’ve had a repeat interaction in NL, now in NH I have found myself seeing the same thing every single day. I don’t know why. I have a jock who says “MUSCLE MADNESS” everyday.
I constantly have villagers remarking on the fact that I dug up fossils, its gotten to the point where my only interactions with them are to give gifts.
I feel the same way. Yesterday I got " Have you ever been inside X house ? You can tell it's X just by looking at it" (or something around those lines) by 4 villagers.
Have not gone one day without both, Katt and Fuchsia telling me what food they get a craving for. I'm dead serious. I'm a time traveler and I STILL have yet to see a day they don't use that line.
online play? i don't have NSO and i'm literally stuck in my island without any interaction with outside people. it gets boring real quick, i can't do anything with other people
• koma considering most console platforms require some form of online payed subscriptions and Nintendo’s is the cheapest if you bothered buying a switch you should probably just get it, I don’t like blocking online play behind a pay wall but it is only 20 dollars a years , the nes and snes collection might not be your thing but on top of online play it’s a nice bonus
• koma you’re not missing out on much bc there’s really nothing that great for online acnh yet. However, I strongly agree with Michael Pomales. Most online subscriptions cost way too much, but Nintendo’s is actually fairly priced.
Unpopular Opinion: I wish there was more options for how the house would like from the outside. Like, in the first game, you were able to rotate your house or in new leaf, there was custom walls or doors from the HDA. Where houses look so unique from each and everyone’s style.
That is true but there was the option to literally have the walls outside have shells and sand while the door can be made out of clay. The inside is the most advance out of all the games but the walls outside and the door are kind of low.
Why you built like that ? I think they mean there were more “special” exterior options Including the actual shape of the house Like castle or zen as an example I don’t understand why they didn’t bring that back... It’s also kinda dumb you can’t expand all your rooms! (At least first floor ones) Idc if we have long rooms now (this is nice of course) that’s not an excuse to be stuck with small rooms So many of my ideas for my designated rooms are thwarted because nothing fits right because of the limited space They let you fully expand every room in new leaf I just don’t understand some of these downgraded decisions
@Mr. Danks // Yeah I agree, there’s so many nice customization options for your house in NL, but it feels like in NH we can’t do that much exterior house decoration ;-;
I wish the same color options were available for ALL styles. Burgundy door, purple door, pink door ..etc.. the colors should be available for all styles not just specific ones. I want a purple stone roof so bad..
The diving thing makes no sense You don’t have to engage in it But many people such as myself are happy to have it back I like swimming around and tbh diving creatures make pretty sweet cash
I wish that octopus villagers had strong reactions if you gave them an octopus. I have Marina on my island and she treated it like any sea creature when i essentially just handed her a baby of her species
Unpopular opinion: I've been playing the game daily since it came out March 20th and I still don't like the music. It hasn't grown on me, and all the songs sound the same. That acoustic vibe doesn't help differentiate one song from another.
Update, I just got to the part of the video where someone also mentions they don't like the music for NH either. I thought I was the only one and now I just feel silly, lol. My favorite music is from New Leaf. what about the rest of you? (You brave souls who have decided to venture into the comment's comments.)
yeah I agree I used to get this great vibe from new leafs music in the morning but now it just seems repetitive and the style of the music doesn’t really fit in an animal crossing game my opinion
For someone who's first AC game is NH, terraforming is overwhelming. Eh, I'm not that creative so I don't care much about pattern slots and achieving a 5 star rating. I just want to live in an island decorated with the junks I've found, created or bought with my cute villagers who could really use a heavy dose of personality and not be just an archetype. I mean, you can say you don't like a fruit because of its taste or something, but call it ugly? Why? What? How? I feel like hating on popular stuff is so old. Hate is such a strong emotion to waste on something that's made up of computer codes and polygons. I've seen snippets of gameplay from the OG and I honestly want to have that kinda villager and their attitude on NH. I wanna have someone to talk shit to, c'mon Nintendo! Your cranky villagers aren't cranky, they're just like grumpy old people. Your snooty villagers aren't snooty...I can't differentiate them from uchis actually if they don't call me sugar, darling or something. Your smug villagers are just male peppys. Give me my very own nemesis! If you only find that the diving update gives only a few minutes of play time a month, you're probably spending little time on it. I mean, I think most of us who actually spent time on it knows how the RNG sometimes fucks with us. Lord knows how many hours I've spent rummaging through the ocean floor looking for pearl or a single scallop for Pascal. If there's one big nitpick for me tho, it is the game's endless menus. I mean, I just need a damn NMT and get on a freaking plane! You've already told me your spiel once, I don't need it for every single time I use your service! And why can't you allow me to craft multiple items at once? Smaller games with smaller data size have that, why can't your big budget triple a game have it too?
I agree with terraforming, it's exhausting. I had fun doing it on my first island then after restarting over 10 times, I hate it. I terraformed part of my entrance weeks ago and everytime I go to an island through dreaming for inspiration, I just get overwhelmed and mad at myself cause I feel like I'm not good enough at terraforming. It's rough man 😔
NH is also my first animal crossing game. I agree that while (in my opinion) the interactions with the villagers aren't bad, PG had much better dialogue and you also did more favors for them compared to NH. I really want them to being that sense of community back. The ux is terrible. We need bulk crafting, patterns put down with the island designer app shouldn't be able to be kicked off, the wet suit should be considered clothing to be made into an outfit in the wand, and so, so many other things. Something I don't see mentioned often at least from what I've seen is that furniture sets that were in previous games are no longer in NH and the number of sets that are currently in the game are very low. Is it just me who doesn't have that many options for tables to put my things on?? I don't want to use the same 2 tables all over my island. Sorry for the lengthy comment but wow NH has some really bad issues that Nintendo should fix which sucks because it's my favorite game 😔
Unpopular opinion: I don't want the mean Population Growing villagers back. Villagers calling me fat and stupid because they asked for a thing I literally cannot do for them (Tangy is asleep, Fang, I seriously can't go get your Gameboy from her) wasn't fun. It just made me hate some of them for being constantly mean. Villagers still warm up to you over time, they just aren't Karens now. Maybe instead just bring back the hobby system from Wild World where certain activities become 'trendy' with your villagers. Like for a couple weeks they're all about bug catching or books, then the trend shifts and some other activity is popular; they ask favors directly related to the ongoing trend. (Antonio caught a red snapper and Kyle is jealous of how cool that is, Kyle asks you to get him an even digger fish so he can pretend he caught it and show off (cause he's smug)). It would give the villagers more life and be something else that changes regularly, without the villagers being really agressive.
I agree, I think they shouldn’t be mean, but have some bite. Like they don’t bully you but they aren’t all cuddly, you know? Their personalities should be a little more fitting to the name cranky.
The cranky’s and the snootie’s should be mean. Maybe not overboard mean but still mean. They should be able to warm up to you and then they’ll be nicer.
I would love that villager can get REALLY mad at you (they could ignore you if you annoy them too much, or make them report you at isabelle if you bully them), caus' i think that they are too kind even if you are doochbag
I wish villagers actually had "character" and deep things about them that make there character more unique and special like in AC the first one, and AC on the DS. now there just window dressing and something good to look at when in you village. And honestly what makes you like a surtin character... Is it there looks? I feel like the answer is yes. And if not then what?
Tbh, about Judy...I didn't like her AT ALL at first, specially cause I though she was a peppy villager and it seemed like such a try hard kawaii design...BUT after seeing her shocked face it suddenly dawned on me that there was no way she was a peppy character. I looked it up and turns out she is a snooty one...that's when I realised she isn't just any anime character...She's an ojou-san! She's got the "arara~" catchphrase, her japanese name is "Misuzu" which sounds like "miss", she's got the shoujo eyes and the "shocked lady losing her manners" expression, the dolly dress and overly cutesy aesthethic...amazing...I can picture her now, doing the good ol' "ohohohoho~" laugh...
I agree that it is unfinished. But I always thought that they would add a lot more during the updates. They probably knew that people would “finish” the game fast so they decided to add a lot of new additions during the updates. Maybe to spice things up a bit
Lily The thing is these "updates" are more "patches" for what should have already been in the game. Not to mention a number of them have been terrible (museum week anyone?)
Honestly I would’ve loved Judy but.. her eyes. Her eyes just make me so uncomfortable, same with Chrissy. I don’t know why.. their eyes scare me so much, especially when their shocked- Edit: I started a war now great
I genuinely feel bad for people who started with ACNH, not in a pity way, more in a "this game doesnt represent what made people fall in love with this franchise" way. I often see comments like "Why is this and this Villiager popular? Sure, cute design but nothing more" And thats the problem, most villiagers arent popular because what they look like, but because of the story people have to tell about them. Yes Marshall is a Marshmellow, and that makes him cute, but the Smug personality trait is so popular because of what the Villager act like. "They all have the same personality trait, whats so special about this one?" Simple, the amount of dialogue, combined with the extra things you can do (like Hide and seek, or special tasks in the older games", THATS what makes them unique.
It really punches me in the gut when I see people asking in comment sections and forums if their villagers are "good" or not. That's a personal choice, not something to be dictated by people on the internet! I love that more people are into animal crossing, but at the same time I wish when it was more niche and ppl really only cared about marshal
Not really an unpopular opinion but I wanted to discuss it anyway: I would love to see more shops being added like the dream suite, police station(if it comes), the roost (if it comes) etc. I know why they’ve incorporated it into other things and I have an idea on how this could be resolved. They could add a feature where if you want a building for a specific character you can just choose that option and you get a building but if you don’t have any room left on your island then you can just say to incorporate it into already existing buildings like museum, nooks crany etc
Skylight what I mean by dream suites is the actual building from new leaf and I didn’t know it was so popular as when I’ve brought this up before people have always said they have no room left on their island for more buildings
The dialogue in this game is bad. My villagers say the same things over and over. Often I'll talk to one and then the next villager I'll talk to will say the exact same thing. It got old very fast. I definitely think the previous games win in that aspect.
Especially if you get 2 same personality villagers too. I got poppy n sylvana, and gosh both of them said the same thing everytime i interacted with them
6:53 I don't think people are getting burnouts becuase of the freedom this game gives us with our islands. I think it's because of the combination of our current state (stuck in our homes) and the launch of this game. I feel like people ended up trying to decorate their islands and terraform it the fastest they could (because of boredom, anxiety, stress) and since they didn't took any breaks or didn't play this game in little chunks of time (like sessions of 1-2 hours) that obviously grew even more the burnout. And since this game really doesnt have a goal (like maybe you can have 5 stars in your island or collecting everything but thats a personal goal, that's not an endgame goal) when they exhausted every bit of their time that ended up in being tired of the game. I've play this game for almost 400 hours and havent experience burnout or tiresome because I've been playing when I want to play, I'm not forcing myself to get 5 stars or collect everything, sometimes I don't even do daily stuff and just like to catch bugs, hear the music, play instruments and stuff like that. I think this game is intended to take your time, to go slow and take breaks.
terraforming and decorating my island gives me stress. i want X items, designs, etc. but i cannot get them because 1: i don't have an online subscription and 2: i don't know when the items i want will release if i ever feel motivated to decorate or fix it, i instantly give up as i don't have any method to know if i will ever be able to get them
This. I was trying to force myself to at least log on and pick up my beaches and grab the diy in a bottle every day, but I got so tired of it I had to put it down for a couple days. Then I hated my island because terraforming wasn’t working out for me, and I felt like I’d ruined my island and it was a mess and ugly. It’s still pretty messed up, but I just took a break from those things and started doing basically whatever, and it helped. I like fishing most, but I try to catch bugs or swim too sometimes just because. Honestly I never liked the feeling of being obligated to do daily things, and I’d seen some videos about it, but that’s just not how I want to play the game. I think you’re right. It’s not a competition, and it’s not a race.
5:58 totally agree only 6pm and 5am only really feel like ‘proper’ animal crossing music idk maybe it’s the lack of accordion? but i totally know what they mean
The only problem is that I like to sleep a lot so I really can't play to hear the 5 and 6 a.m. music. It's shame. Especially for the anti-timetravelers (like me). I don't really know anyone who plays that early so it should've been moved to the later hours. Just my opinion, though.
I got pears as my native fruit, and at the beginning I was hoping for peaches bc I heard a lot of people bc we’re resetting for peaches but honestly I think pears are hated on for no reason bc they’re actually quite pretty
Honestly i have been playing since animal crossing wild world and the pears always looked ugly and a lot of people thought that too So I think it just stayed and we still think they are ugly But in this game the pears are reallyyy pretty ☺
Idk they don’t stand out like the other fruit which are colorful against the green leaves (unless it’s like fall or something) I don’t think they’re ugly per se just kinda..boring? Idk
UNPOPULAR OPINIONS: as an avid fan of music and a (kinda) musician (more of the VA'ing side but whatever), NH ost is fantastic! it feels fitting to an island and is interesting enough to keep listening to because the melody's are on point and the instruments are well though out. but at the same time, they are relaxing enough to chill to. the villager interaction aren't bad, its the fact that you do 2 things for them every day! you talk to them and maybe give them items. i want the quests from PG back in NH because it means villagers have at least 5 thing to do per day. they could even add very rare friendship items (yes i know photos exist but thats ONE item) that you have like a 3% chance of getting after completing a quest, but can also get other items, and maybe even things to donate to the museum! and maybe those things are fish or bugs that aren't in season! it has sooo much potential, and i would take this as an update over having Brewster. also doing quests would give you like 5 friendship points. a couple other things like how fish/bugs should give you A TON more bells but im too lazy to type it lol ALSO PLEASE DO NOT START A COMMENT WAR
Everything you said I agree with 100%% I'd like to say tho, villagers in NH can already send you fossils and paintings (real or fake) to your mailbox, which you can donate to the museum if you don't have those items! But the idea that they could also give you bugs and fishes is really cool and I'd love to see that in the game
For me the best music in new horizons is early in the morning, especially 5am 🙂 I also love diving because there are no tools to break and it's rather relaxing 🥰
New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing and I'm told it has shit villager interaction/dialogue, but man New Horizons is just _tons_ worse in my opinion. I barely care for my villagers which sucks since it was one of my favourite parts of the game and the reason I kept coming back.
@Vale I love the music but then I listened to the old music and I loved it too but im more attached to the new horizon one because it's my first AC game
New horizons music is alright. But it doesn’t catch my eye(ear?). New leaf has a level of nostalgia to it. I listen to those songs and it takes me back to 8 year old me in California. New horizons doesn’t have the same feel imo
I personally think that the music is just okay. Oster fine I guess2 PM is an insult to animal crossing, 5pm is amazing. 3 AM is certainly unique is there some other good ones. The old animal crossing ones would fit the time that they were playing at they are all great songs.
Unpopular opinion: I really hate the fireworks festival The music gets really annoying really quickly and every single villager says the exact same thing every time plus most of the items only have a 1 use
It is I, Mr. Diving hater himself, I will elaborate my point 1. After collecting pearls and the recipes you only really do it to get the months new creatures, which doesn't take long 2. It's an incredibly slow process, I feel that you should automatically stroke, rather than having to mash A
Also there is no reward for completing it it’s just for some cool mermaid items which they probably could have had pascal go on shore and give you them for fish worth more than 1000 bells
I actually do see more love for Raymond still but it's under a mask of toxic love. There are people who get mad if they see Raymond on other people's islands and they obsess over him too much in other ways
I disagree with the opinion about diving. I find it to be very relaxing, and a easy way to make some bells. I think it's a lot easier to find the sea creatures, and they sell for a surprisingly good haul at the cranny. Compared to making bells by fishing or catching bugs, diving is a lot more lucrative and fun.
The old tracks wouldn't fit in NH. As much as I love them, and I listem to them all the time (outside the games) more than NH, each soundtrack was built specifically for that game NH music is good, not that remarkable, but not bad, and fits the purpose of the game
Sort of unpopular opinion - I love Hazel, she's probably my favourite villager overall. Actual opinion - I don't mind the dialogue being repetitive too much, but I wish something could be coded in to stop same-personality villagers saying the same lines immediately after each other. Like if I talk to one Normal villager and she says, ex., "oh isn't the weather lovely, I think I'll go sit under a tree to read", and I then straight away walk over to a different Normal villager, the game should adjust how it picks what Villager 2 is going to say, so that "I'll go sit under a tree" has a low probability of occurring. I don't know if that's how the game works with dialogue, or if it's something that even could be programmed in, but it'd be a real improvement.
Here's my on popular opinion on Raymond I like him it's just the random piece of cream colored hair bothers me I like if it was black I would like him more. Also Barold is cute
I'm happy that my favorite villager (Rudy) is not the most popular cause then I won't be accused of riding the bandwagon or liking villagers because they're popular. I can be unique
True, but the reason she's looked down upon is because they basically turned her into nothing. In new leaf, she was a hard working secretary with a small does of sarcasm and cuteness to her. In the welcome amiibo update, you can even invite her over to the campsite and learn more about her. But in new horizons, she barely has a role. While I do appreciate tom nook being the main star here, I want isabelle to get some growth too.
True. That's how I found out about Animal Crossing. Saw a video of her singing Bubblegum K.K. in new leaf a few years ago. Got interested and that's how I got into Animal Crossing.
Gabe Knapp I’m not discrediting it, in fact I never said I was. The makers of the game basically said how Isabelle’s main purpose was to attract interest to the game.
I agree with the diving one. I have all the recipes, a bunch of pearls and all the mermaid furniture AND found ALL the sea creatures...... sooo ya I haven’t stepped foot in the ocean in like a month already 😬
i really like the 7pm music back, and i hate how the villagers say the same thing everyday, they need dialogue that matches what their personality actually is!!
Unpopular opinion: Jock is my favorite personality, and they don't deserve the hate. Anyway, I won't say this because it's unpopular, but most of the clothes shouldn't be removed in New Horizons, but they are, and some of the villagers in New Horizons shouldn't wear different clothes.
I always go for pear trees as my town fruit. They were my fruit when I first played back on the gamecube and I didn't know there were other fruits. I got them again in each subsequent game, so they're kind of a tradition for me at this point.
It’s not that the dialogue itself is repetitive, I think it’s really great it’s just (because I have a lot of lazy villagers) hearing three different villagers consecutively talk about the bugs in their house or how they love snacks is just boring
I have only had apple trees as my island fruit in CF and NL so I was ecstatic to have pear trees, and I actually love the momochromatic scheme of the green on green!
Unpopular opinion I think I don't want luck to comeback it would be really annoying, and I don't want to design my house or wear certain clothes just to not trip 24/7! It something that would annoy me. A lot. This game is suppose to be about quality of life, not tripping over and villagers being more mean too you for no reason
This might be a popular opinion But I think one of the things we should be able to do with Isabelle is to get the option to change our island name Similar to how we can change the flag or the town tune
All 3 octopi are gross... the texture and tentacles make my skin scrawl! I left Zucker and Marina for these reasons after running into them several times on mystery islands.
i personally agree with not liking judy, because it hurts me to see her blue eyeshadow isn't pink on her blue side or the same shade of blue. it just... makes me scream in perfectionist.
Judy is more of the “I’m gonna vomit a rainbow” kind of cute. I’m still probably going to get her if I find her, but I’d rather have someone else if I could. Overall, she’s too cutesy for me.
I love Raymond, but not because he’s popular. I had a grey cat named Raymond when I was a teenager and I loved him so much. To this day I still talk about him, so when the character popped up in ACNH I had to have him. Still presently searching for him.
Hard disagree on the music. None of the other animal crossing games (I've played since Wild World) have soundtracks that stuck in my head like New Horizons. It just feels so heartwarming and calming... Idk, I adore it, it feels natural.
the conversations in the first game are much better than the other games in the serie.basically the conversations have been descending until reaching the current point that they only tell you things that you do or that will happen and if you are lucky they will tell you a little about them. Before there were neighbors who weren't nice and that's not bad that kind of thing gives life to the game and doesn't make it boring, apart from that each one can be given a personality that doesn't matter if it is repeated in another but the point is that the neighbors are as unique as possible. For this type of problems, those that are beautiful and those that are ugly stand out, some in bad shape and others in good shape. (If there is something wrong in the text, I'm sorry, I'm translating what I say)
With the terraforming giving us too much power part. It doesnt make me bored, rather it overwhelms me. Paralyzes me with too many options. I wish there was options to have a pre-set theme for our islands for busy/lazy players like me
MiloneMysteriesYT I personally love the crafting mechanic, but they have lots of work to do to make it better. Gold tools should be permanent since it's difficult to get the diy's in the first place, and they should have some special side affects.
Unpopular opinion from yours truly: the sound that plays when you catch a bug, fish, or find a pearl/creature is extremely annoying and I wish I could turn it off. When I fish I have to have the sound on, but I instantly turn off the audio once I catch one
i played new leaf really REALLY late into it's life span (like,,,january of this year late) and i can tell you the dialogue is repetitive in both, but i don't really mind it also judy?? why does everyone dislike judy?? she's my best friend 😔💗💗💗🌸 she's super sweet and cute and i just love her lots
FrigaFannn weren’t you the same person that commented on etce’s amiibo video about you not liking people hating on villagers? Pretty hypocritical ngl since you also apparently called more villagers ugly according to a reply
Diving coming back is unnecessary? We're on an island! I was honestly mad when we didn't have it at launch cause you know... WE'RE ON AN ISLAND! We should be able to swim! So I'm very happy it came back, plus I'm always here for more additions to the aquarium.
Don't think the interactions are repetitive? Really? Woooow. NH is my first Animal Crossing game since Wild World. The dialogue is repetitive as all hell. Bluebear says the SAME EXACT THING every single morning. They really need to give the dialogue an update.
Unpopular opinion: The way villagers have changed over the course of the series have made them ultimately less interesting to interact with and don't make it feel like you're coexisting in a town with other animals anymore. The personality differences have become less and less pronounced and the sad excuse for a hobby system in NH is so half assed that the game doesn't even tell you about it. Let villagers be rude to you. I want it to take effort to actually gain their friendship again. I want being inconsiderate towards them make them upset. Make them do more than just walk around impotently pantomiming actions or feed you items. Even if it means cutting down the roster of available villagers. I'm just tired of them feeling like wind-up toys or trophies.
not repetitive? I actually feel like villagers don't want to talk to me, because they only mention food, weather and other people! Like are you changing the subject to get me bored or what
I hate the volume of waterfalls. It ends up giving me headaches especially if I am standing too close for too long or terraforming. Let us turn that shit down.
i personally am over pears as pears have been my native fruit in new leaf and wild world. and now theyre my native fruit again in new horizons! pls free me from this pear hell
Who feels like the Southern Hemisphere is underrated? A LOT of people have the northern one, but the southern one is actually kinda nice. Now I chose the Southern one for no reason, because I started Animal Crossing new horizons when it wasn't really rubbed in your face on UA-cam and stuff. But the Southern Hemisphere is beautiful, I would say prettier than cherry blossoms. Even though it's spring in the north, when it's fall in the south is really nice! Beautiful orange trees. And when it's spring in south, and fall in north, I would say it's nice as well. Who doesn't like cool, hot coco weather in the south anyways? :)
it would be funny to see the gamecube dialogues (or something similar to that) coming back to new horizons. the villagers had zero to no filter and seeing the new ac ppl who complain about their villagers being ‘rude’ in acnh and kick them out bc of that, y’all gonna be in it for a whole new ride
people are complaining about how fast the game got boring but i think you’d get burnt out from most games if you play it for hundreds of hours in a few months
Yup I did tthat
Yeah, you could even argue that someone would get bored of other games faster than acnh if we didn’t have quarantine
I used to play everyday and got a little bored after a while. I now play every few days and it’s always just as fun! If you abuse of something, it’s natural to get bored. I did the same with Stardew Valley.
I abused animal crossing new leaf and city folk and never got bored the game just feels empty
mint mint yes! Feels so unfinished still in my opinion! Once we get something like the fireworks that just happened this August and we do it and do it then it’s old after a week and we have to wait months or a month till something else /: ( just my opinion in no way tryna say anyone’s wrong!) (:
Unpopular opinion: Raymond isn’t the bad character, it’s the fandom you probably hate
exactly so many people will ruin a character because of the community/fandom around it
I thought he was annoying as hell because everyone was obsessed with him, then he showed up in my campsite, i took him in, and he really grew on me. Not my fave smug type still, but he's really cute
The fandom ruined him by putting him in the maid outfit and s*xulizing him
I cant even have him without people screaming at me to give him
@@jawzeditz Same, heaven forbid I mention I have him, immediately people start trying to convince me to give him up
Eva Smiljanić same
I ended up giving him to my friend since he’s her dreamie and i’m so glad she doesn’t put him in maid outfits and didn’t threaten me just bc I had him.
The dialogue is EXTREMELY repetitive for me in new horizons, far more than New Leaf, at least from my experience
dude dialogues in AC are always repetitive in late game, *specially if you rush through the game* , but man, is ACCF's dialogue really repetitive? YES! at least in NH they talk about different stuff and there's more personality types, in CF the only way to get the villagers to talk about something other than the places they are next to and the weather/furniture, is by making them talk to other villagers.
In nl you can play games and run errands for the villagers so that helped with villager interaction but we’re missing out on a lot of that in nh
This is a very popular opinion
Personally, I can't say I have too much of a problem with it, but having more dialogue would be great. If anything I'd just like more interaction that the occasional fetch quest.
We need gossip back
I wish I could turn OFF the background music.
I really agree if they put it I would never use it because I love the music but for some people it would be so calm and relaxing
I wish there was an “app” to have no hourly music along with the option to play x game’s soundtrack
That’d be amazing
i’d literally just turn it on at 5am
Yes! The water, wind, and ambiance is so peaceful. Especially in headphones or surround sound. The BGM needs an off option. I'd never turn it back on.
I have never heard the balloon sounds because of the music
I’m sorry, but I’ve heard Audie tell me how far the moon is way too many times 😂
I had that problem with Cookie but I almost never see that dialogue anymore.
“Just call me moon *insert animal here*”
She always tells me that ;-;
same with apple
I haven’t heard that since the first day i got my peppy. You have to raise your friendship level. I give all my villagers gifts a day. It comes with new dialogue
Do you guys think maglev mike will ever get his relationship back on rails? I worry about that guy
If only Maglev Marissa decides not to cheat on him. If she doesn’t, I expect them to get back together in a few episodes
@@Co-Pilot37 but I heard Maglev Marissa is having a Mini Maglev
I’ve had 3 peppy villagers on my island for the longest time and they talk about Maglev Mike everytime they’re DIY building. EVERY. TIME.
Wha-
Who is that?
Stormi Wolf YT its a peppy villager reference
I kinda let myself get convinced by what everyone said about pear trees being ugly until I started watching the videos Stale Cupcakes makes. She's the first person I've seen really incorporate pear trees into her island and they just look so pretty imo.
Connie Stephens honestly i hate the hype for peaches and i do not get why they care about native fruit since native fruit sells less
I also don’t get how people saw the peaches as ‘rare’ since getting peaches as native/mom/sister fruit is the same chance as pears
I watch her channel! XD
I just dont like pears as a fruit
I was happy I got pears because my first animal crossing game (city folk), I got pears. I don't care for pears in real life, but Korean pears are my favorite fruit
I didn't knew people think pears are ugly, it's my favorite tree :'v (then orange > peach > apple > cherry)
most of the critiques about nh has to do with how the game has completely shifted focus from a life simulator, with npc interactions, more diverse character dialogue, mutual benefit between player and villager, and hard to reach long term goals, to a designing game, where the focus is about building your island/house/character's collection, and the villages act more like decoration, and events, like the fireworks, act more like photoshoots for you and your online friends.
Kinda what happened in the Sims too
Yeah the villagers are just more of a pretty decoration rather than actual islanders in this game, the dialogue feels so empty and I miss the villager dialogue from NL and the other games
Opinion: they should make the villagers like the gamecube version.
I want my mortal enemys back.
Also dialouge gets really boring like if you have 2 smug villagers they say the same thing over and over
I used to have O'Hare and Tex...I moved Tex out but I totally agree with you!
This isn’t really unpopular but yeah bring it back
That’s not really that unpopular lots of people say they want the villagers to be mean again or they really liked how rude they were
I don't exactly what them to be rude but I want them to have more personality
Yeah i totally agree!
There are so many cute villagers I really don't get the obsession on him
I just want him because he's a cat version of Byakuya Togami
He showed up at my campsite and I knew how wanted he is but I just love him!!
I just miss how they used to insult you. Definitely not on par with new leafs dialogue. Lol
I have seen them insult each other once though. 💀 Phoebe and Lobo got into a disagreement on who was uglier.
I don't like Judy, she's ugly as hell to me, maybe I'd like her if I saw her in an older game with a more fleshed out personality.
i hate muffy she moved on my blue roses in new leaf. doesn’t mean i hate all villagers with her personality type
The reason I don’t like the concept of wanting popular villagers is I think it’s stupid to get a villager you don’t personally like just because some people on the internet like it. Also Judy just seems like a stupid airhead
Vale noooo muffy is amazing 😭
Or something like that, maybe more personality-centric traits, like "paranoid (talking about silly conspiracy theories)" or "spiritual (talking about meditation, personal reflection, etc.)" or "snobbish (talking about money, expensive things, etc.)"
It'd be a nice way to add new variety to each of the villagers, without over-complicating the necessary "template" style the personalities have.
That would be funny)
i just have an extra normal and lazy villager
Its not the personalities thats the problem, originally every character had an actual backstory along with Hobbies that determined what quests they would give you. It was always 8 personalities, but there used to be a reason to get to know each character. Now you can just pick the 1 Jock that looks the best and you now know every jock in the game.
@MiloneMysteriesYT Ah you're right. But in NH case extra personalities wouldnt do much without fixing the dialouge system as a whole, bc they would also just start repeating each other the same way.
It's not really an opinion, but I miss being able to rotate items 45° lol
Me too
Yeah, I'm really sad about that, feels very restrictive in terms of interior design.
Same!
OMG same
My response to the comment on terraforming giving us too much power:
“With great power comes great responsibility” -Uncle Ben
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes
I don’t think I’ve had a repeat interaction in NL, now in NH I have found myself seeing the same thing every single day. I don’t know why. I have a jock who says “MUSCLE MADNESS” everyday.
I constantly have villagers remarking on the fact that I dug up fossils, its gotten to the point where my only interactions with them are to give gifts.
Whaddup zort
I only got a repeat interaction a few times in NL
I feel the same way. Yesterday I got " Have you ever been inside X house ? You can tell it's X just by looking at it" (or something around those lines) by 4 villagers.
Have not gone one day without both, Katt and Fuchsia telling me what food they get a craving for. I'm dead serious. I'm a time traveler and I STILL have yet to see a day they don't use that line.
We need more unlockable buildings and features, not to mention something like Tortimer’s Island to make online play more enjoyable
Tortimers island was my favourite thing to go and do on acnl
online play? i don't have NSO and i'm literally stuck in my island without any interaction with outside people. it gets boring real quick, i can't do anything with other people
• koma considering most console platforms require some form of online payed subscriptions and Nintendo’s is the cheapest if you bothered buying a switch you should probably just get it, I don’t like blocking online play behind a pay wall but it is only 20 dollars a years , the nes and snes collection might not be your thing but on top of online play it’s a nice bonus
• koma you’re not missing out on much bc there’s really nothing that great for online acnh yet. However, I strongly agree with Michael Pomales. Most online subscriptions cost way too much, but Nintendo’s is actually fairly priced.
Ikr online play is pretty dry. Ya kinda just look at their island and it gets really boring once you’ve been there a lot
I think they mean there were more “special” exterior options
Including the actual shape of the house
Like castle or zen as an example
I don’t understand why they didn’t bring that back...
It’s also kinda dumb you can’t expand all your rooms! (At least first floor ones)
Idc if we have long rooms now (this is nice of course) that’s not an excuse to be stuck with small rooms
So many of my ideas for my designated rooms are thwarted because nothing fits right because of the limited space
They let you fully expand every room in new leaf
I just don’t understand some of these downgraded decisions
@Mr. Danks // Yeah I agree, there’s so many nice customization options for your house in NL, but it feels like in NH we can’t do that much exterior house decoration ;-;
And pleeeeease let me change the plaza, idk require bells or/and star raitings to be unlocked but pleaaase its just ugly
I wish the same color options were available for ALL styles. Burgundy door, purple door, pink door ..etc.. the colors should be available for all styles not just specific ones. I want a purple stone roof so bad..
The diving thing makes no sense
You don’t have to engage in it
But many people such as myself are happy to have it back
I like swimming around and tbh diving creatures make pretty sweet cash
@Rookie wait wat do you mean by decorate te water...??? It's water?? Liquid??? of course there's not much to look at lol
two comments lol
Yea tbh I haven’t been diving this entire month
Lpsgogo you clearly haven't seen a reef then.
I wish that octopus villagers had strong reactions if you gave them an octopus. I have Marina on my island and she treated it like any sea creature when i essentially just handed her a baby of her species
Pear squad where you at? I love having them as my town fruit.
Sarah Petry same, I got them in nl and they look amazing tbh
I have apples as my town fruit but i do love the pears
i love that there is no apple squad wow very nice
Sup pear squad
I have them, but my town fruit was cherries
The only good new horizons music is the night and early morning, but I don’t really want to stay up late to listen to new music
I like it but this is my first animal crossing game so maybe when I play the older games I’ll change my mind
I only really like the 8 a.m. theme. That one feels different than the others.
It's rough man 😔
Finally I found someone who agrees that smug types are just male peppy´s
Anthony Julius Isidro If you wonder how fruit is ugly, go look at an avocado and you'll understand. :p
Whitney Manlove That actually sounds really cool
And I wish there was more villager types. Having doubles just creeps me out. It's like nibbles is spying on chrissy and copying her every move.
yeah i don’t want them to go overboard with the meanness, but sometimes you really need it to spice things up
The cranky’s and the snootie’s should be mean. Maybe not overboard mean but still mean. They should be able to warm up to you and then they’ll be nicer.
The NL Soundtrack it was so so sooo good but now... idk I’d love if they’d add old tracks too
Dude NH soundtrack sucks and there’s no rain music. It all sounds the same with the ugly trumpet :(
They shud remix the old tracks and add em back
hannah bjorkman French horn, actually. And don’t call my instrument ugly! 😆
You can get some iconic old songs like the city theme from wii AC from kk on Saturdays
My friend and I were talking about that right before I got acnh
I would love that villager can get REALLY mad at you (they could ignore you if you annoy them too much, or make them report you at isabelle if you bully them), caus' i think that they are too kind even if you are doochbag
I wish villagers actually had "character" and deep things about them that make there character more unique and special like in AC the first one, and AC on the DS. now there just window dressing and something good to look at when in you village. And honestly what makes you like a surtin character... Is it there looks? I feel like the answer is yes. And if not then what?
Definitely!
I know its your opinion but i love judy
i hated her at first because i thought she was *too* cute but when she came into my campsite i fell in love
*ARARA*
Here's mine. The game is unfinished and should have had a lot more work done on it before release.
I agree that it is unfinished. But I always thought that they would add a lot more during the updates. They probably knew that people would “finish” the game fast so they decided to add a lot of new additions during the updates. Maybe to spice things up a bit
Agreed, but they had delayed it and probably didn't want to delay it again.
@@rainbowkidbest My question is how little was done for this barebones game to be what came from the delay?
Lily The thing is these "updates" are more "patches" for what should have already been in the game. Not to mention a number of them have been terrible (museum week anyone?)
BigHailFan true.
Honestly
I would’ve loved Judy but.. her eyes. Her eyes just make me so uncomfortable, same with Chrissy. I don’t know why.. their eyes scare me so much, especially when their shocked-

@@romarirome9592 Are you kidding me 3am is a banger
Honestly, same. NH doesn’t feel as special for me for some reason
The previous games had this certain charm to me that touched my heart. ACNH didn't have it.
We already have the dream suite and this is actually one of the most popular animal crossing opinions
Skylight what I mean by dream suites is the actual building from new leaf and I didn’t know it was so popular as when I’ve brought this up before people have always said they have no room left on their island for more buildings
This isn’t an unpopular opinion lmao
Faerie if you read my other comment then that should explain why I put this
Sam Haslam Okay, still not unpopular
I actually dont find Judy cute, I don’t know why people like her so much
Random_girl Idk I like Judy but her eyes..they are just creepy for me

The dialogue in this game is bad. My villagers say the same things over and over. Often I'll talk to one and then the next villager I'll talk to will say the exact same thing. It got old very fast. I definitely think the previous games win in that aspect.
That happened to me while the fireworks show was going on! 2 of my normal villagers said the same thing after another!
AAA AAA finally someone gets it
Especially if you get 2 same personality villagers too.
I think this game is intended to take your time, to go slow and take breaks.
terraforming and decorating my island gives me stress. i want X items, designs, etc. but i cannot get them because
1: i don't have an online subscription
and 2: i don't know when the items i want will release
if i ever feel motivated to decorate or fix it, i instantly give up as i don't have any method to know if i will ever be able to get them
I personally love the music but I wish you can change the music like talk to Isabelle and tell her to change the hourly music to old ones
The only problem is that I like to sleep a lot so I really can't play to hear the 5 and 6 a.m. music. It's shame. Especially for the anti-timetravelers (like me). I don't really know anyone who plays that early so it should've been moved to the later hours. Just my opinion, though.
Yeah! And the like 3 am music SUCKS.
@@Dogmatic-rw6jl IT DOES
The 5 PM to 6 PM music’s beat gives me anxiety. Maybe it’s just me
I got pears as my native fruit, and at the beginning I was hoping for peaches bc I heard a lot of people bc we’re resetting for peaches but honestly I think pears are hated on for no reason bc they’re actually quite pretty
wait why do ppl think pears are ugly?
Honestly i have been playing since animal crossing wild world and the pears always looked ugly and a lot of people thought that too So I think it just stayed and we still think they are ugly But in this game the pears are reallyyy pretty ☺
Pears are not ugly in any game in my opinion but I respect every opinion so :P
Idk they don’t stand out like the other fruit which are colorful against the green leaves (unless it’s like fall or something)
I don’t think they’re ugly per se just kinda..boring? Idk
@@howdyimbob3241 heytwin-
man i love the nh music. i know this is a very unpopular opinion but the 2 pm music in particular slaps
It doesss
here's an actual unpopular opinion
As soon as i heard the 2pm, i loved it 😍😍
Yes.
Dont know if this is unpopular, but I think that Raddle is the best frog villager.
Yeah he’s cool
I AGREE I REALLY WANT HIM IN MY VILLAGE
Yeah, he is pretty original, has very character in his design and he is NOT UGLY
I won't have him in my town but he is cool and cute
I completely agree he was one of my first villagers and he is my absolute favourite
UNPOPULAR OPINIONS:
as an avid fan of music and a (kinda) musician (more of the VA'ing side but whatever), NH ost is fantastic! it feels fitting to an island and is interesting enough to keep listening to because the melody's are on point and the instruments are well though out. but at the same time, they are relaxing enough to chill to.
the villager interaction aren't bad, its the fact that you do 2 things for them every day! you talk to them and maybe give them items. i want the quests from PG back in NH because it means villagers have at least 5 thing to do per day. they could even add very rare friendship items (yes i know photos exist but thats ONE item) that you have like a 3% chance of getting after completing a quest, but can also get other items, and maybe even things to donate to the museum! and maybe those things are fish or bugs that aren't in season! it has sooo much potential, and i would take this as an update over having Brewster. also doing quests would give you like 5 friendship points.
a couple other things like how fish/bugs should give you A TON more bells but im too lazy to type it lol
ALSO PLEASE DO NOT START A COMMENT WAR
1AM is one of my favourite tracks in the game.
3 am though I'm never really up at that time lol
@@Rudy-gc2lc yeah thats actually really good even though it may sound off
Everything you said I agree with 100%% I'd like to say tho, villagers in NH can already send you fossils and paintings (real or fake) to your mailbox, which you can donate to the museum if you don't have those items! But the idea that they could also give you bugs and fishes is really cool and I'd love to see that in the game
Hii,there is quests that you have for villagers, idk if nl haf more quests,im just here to say there are quests, like pLs gEt a bUg fOr mY gArDeN
My first game was wild world and honestly New Leaf’s dialogue isn’t that bad. But NH just murdered it for me :(
The music still hasn’t grown on me. It feels like it has less of an animal crossing feel
@Vale I love the music but then I listened to the old music and I loved it too but im more attached to the new horizon one because it's my first AC game
Bob The cat yeah maybe i’m biased because new leaf was my first and i love the music fromthat one
Blake M i feel like the only one who doesn’t like the 5pm. the piano sounds weird
Yooooooo I forgot fish bait was a thing you could even make and I been playing since release 💀💀💀💀✋🏾
Unpopular opinion: I really hate the fireworks festival
The music gets really annoying really quickly and every single villager says the exact same thing every time plus most of the items only have a 1 use

Oh my god, same. They’re horrible. Just let me chat to the animals more.
@@tomofthenooks1470 your pfp is a trick holy crap i didn't know

Healmore I’ve seen you on 2 other videos and on one you said you quit acnh
It is I, Mr. Diving hater himself, I will elaborate my point
1. After collecting pearls and the recipes you only really do it to get the months new creatures, which doesn't take long
2. It's an incredibly slow process, I feel that you should automatically stroke, rather than having to mash A
Good day
Also there is no reward for completing it it’s just for some cool mermaid items which they probably could have had pascal go on shore and give you them for fish worth more than 1000 bells
I actually do see more love for Raymond still but it's under a mask of toxic love. There are people who get mad if they see Raymond on other people's islands and they obsess over him too much in other ways
I genuinely like Raymond the first time I saw him. Such a shame he has toxic people fighting over him.
I got raymond thru rng and he really grew on me. But you dont see me forking over my life savings for him and stuffing him in maid dresses..
I Love The Night Music. very smooth and cool and twinkly
I hate the repetitive "I found a fossil" with the wooOoo!!¡¡
I miss the dialogue in the original games because it made the villagers have more flavor and attitude.
I don't want them to be too rude but I want them to have more personality
I think New Horizons has better daytime music, while New Leaf has better nighttime music.
Raymond isn't good, he's just kind of average imo. Better smug and better cat options. I don't hate him, he's just meh.
I have him, but I prefer Marshal. He bouta get evicted 🤜😼
Raymond looks cute to me but people hating him and obsessing on him too much sort of ruin it for me.
The old tracks wouldn't fit in NH. As much as I love them, and I listem to them all the time (outside the games) more than NH, each soundtrack was built specifically for that game
NH music is good, not that remarkable, but not bad, and fits the purpose of the game
Also Barold is cute
yes barold is cute
Barolds sweet!
I would def get barold on my island if I didn't already have clay
I'm happy that my favorite villager (Rudy) is not the most popular cause then I won't be accused of riding the bandwagon or liking villagers because they're popular. I can be unique
imagine how awesome it would be if EVERY villager had a different unique personality!
omg like a sub personality like a shy smug or energetic normal or mean peppy or generous cranky or
Read your comment again slowly, then google the amount of villagers in acnh.
How the fuck do you think they will make 391 unique personalities?!
Mr.MintCatNip there is a reason why I said “imagine”
Too much work. There are hundreds of villagers and it will be hard making them unique.
I feel like lots of people are kinda looking down upon Isabelle but like she’s a main reason Animal Crossing got it’s growth 🤷♀️
You have to be shitting me. You’re gonna discredit the almost 15 ish years of this games existence before isabelle??
True. That's how I found out about Animal Crossing. Saw a video of her singing Bubblegum K.K. in new leaf a few years ago. Got interested and that's how I got into Animal Crossing.
Eduardo Carrera Bacaicoa for new horizons yes
At 9:03 you can hear a notification go off on his phone
Your profile pic is perfect
I always go for pear trees as my town fruit. They were my fruit when I first played back on the gamecube and I didn't know there were other fruits. I got them again in each subsequent game, so they're kind of a tradition for me at this point.
Raymond is more overhated than overrated at this point
It’s not that the dialogue itself is repetitive, I think it’s really great it’s just (because I have a lot of lazy villagers) hearing three different villagers consecutively talk about the bugs in their house or how they love snacks is just boring
Yes! I love Isabelle but....she is wayyyy too overrated! She overshadows my fav character(digby)
tom nook > isabelle
They NERFED her in new horizons. Everyone who only met her in smash bros and new horizons was robbed i swear
I have only had apple trees as my island fruit in CF and NL so I was ecstatic to have pear trees, and I actually love the momochromatic scheme of the green on green!
“Judy’s anime.” - THANK YOU
Unpopular opinion I think
I don't want luck to comeback it would be really annoying, and I don't want to design my house or wear certain clothes just to not trip 24/7!
It something that would annoy me. A lot. This game is suppose to be about quality of life, not tripping over and villagers being more mean too you for no reason
Rudy, Avery, and bella are underrated
gabriel panza I ageee with Bella! Not sure what Rudy and Avery are like but I’m sure you’re right :D
This might be a popular opinion
But
I think one of the things we should be able to do with Isabelle is to get the option to change our island name
Similar to how we can change the flag or the town tune
All 3 octopi are gross... the texture and tentacles make my skin scrawl! I left Zucker and Marina for these reasons after running into them several times on mystery islands.
And everyone loves them... which is kinda annoying
i personally agree with not liking judy, because it hurts me to see her blue eyeshadow isn't pink on her blue side or the same shade of blue.
it just...
makes me scream in perfectionist.
I’m sorry, but this video has offended me
It’s ok Judy ignore the haters....I would have you but me and my brother share an island (he is resident rep. 🤧) and he hates you... 😔👉👈
Shhh... don't listen to them. You're baby💖
I have u in my island u are cute
I have you in my Island and I really love you.^^
Don’t worry I like anime
Judy is more of the “I’m gonna vomit a rainbow” kind of cute. I’m still probably going to get her if I find her, but I’d rather have someone else if I could. Overall, she’s too cutesy for me.
Ok I'm begging Nintendo to do an update where you can choose to use hourly tracks from any of the previous games. I miss the NL and WW music :'(
Same ;-;
I love Raymond, but not because he’s popular. I had a grey cat named Raymond when I was a teenager and I loved him so much. To this day I still talk about him, so when the character popped up in ACNH I had to have him. Still presently searching for him.
aww thats a sweet story, i hope you find him!
Hard disagree on the music. None of the other animal crossing games (I've played since Wild World) have soundtracks that stuck in my head like New Horizons. It just feels so heartwarming and calming... Idk, I adore it, it feels natural.
Have you played the GameCube game! That’s my favourite music imo
the conversations in the first game are much better than the other games in the serie.basically the conversations have been descending until reaching the current point that they only tell you things that you do or that will happen and if you are lucky they will tell you a little about them.
I feel like people are joking when they say they find Judy "creepy". I don't see it, The anime girl eyes are cute, nothing else.
Her shocked face haunts me. It's worse than the other shocked face.
With the terraforming giving us too much power part. It doesnt make me bored, rather it overwhelms me. Paralyzes me with too many options. I wish there was options to have a pre-set theme for our islands for busy/lazy players like me
I legit don't get the music complaint, the music sounds fine, it sounds like animal crossing music
agreed, all the music sounds good exept 2pm
Villagers are always saying the same stuff. Also i dont get why everyone likes judy i think shes weird
This one will make people SCREAM:
Merry is an EXTREMELY unsettling villager, I think her design is too... quirky for me, I don't know what word to use
Lucas Fiorillo I like her however I can definitely see where your coming from honestly
I think she’s cute but I do see how she can come off as strange or unsettling!
5:50 i see this as how i never fish for money and many people do. Diving definitely gets me the most money and its easier to do so i prefer it
same lol
My theory: Nintendo makes poor UI and Choices with Crafting/Breaking Tools because they know they can make their money without hassle.
My take- I hate how the normal villagers sound like. It is ear piercing
I don't like it either
i played new leaf really REALLY late into it's life span (like,,,january of this year late) and i can tell you the dialogue is repetitive in both, but i don't really mind it
also judy?? why does everyone dislike judy?? she's my best friend 😔💗💗💗🌸 she's super sweet and cute and i just love her lots
Judy was on my island and I decided to let her go because her yandere face made me feel really uncomfortable
Amicus same here! Judy is honestly disturbing
I’m glad other people despise Judy
FrigaFannn weren’t you the same person that commented on etce’s amiibo video about you not liking people hating on villagers? Pretty hypocritical ngl since you also apparently called more villagers ugly according to a reply
Smells like a person who supports cancelling people over something done a long time ago
FrigaFan ecte’s video was done this month but ok hypocrite
Like are you changing the subject to get me bored or what
I agree, or they come up to sell you items like you’re a walking atm...
I have yet to have a day where at least 3 villagers don't remark about my fossil hunting. Every single day.
I hate the volume of waterfalls. It ends up giving me headaches especially if I am standing too close for too long or terraforming. Let us turn that shit down.
Have you ever been near a real waterfall? Jw
i personally am over pears as pears have been my native fruit in new leaf and wild world. and now theyre my native fruit again in new horizons! pls free me from this pear hell
✨ embrace the pear ✨
i have four snooty villagers and im tired of hearing them spoil shows 4 eachother
it would be funny to see the gamecube dialogues (or something similar to that) coming back to new horizons. the villagers had zero to no filter and seeing the new ac ppl who complain about their villagers being ‘rude’ in acnh and kick them out bc of that, y’all gonna be in it for a whole new ride
