  • This is the second video in a series of field use of my system. This video is more about the details of use than the speed of the system.
I can setup and climb much faster when I'm not talking about it.
    Thanks for watching

Awesome DIY set up. You're up the tree faster than the average one sticker.

Thanks! That video was a while ago. The system has been improved since then. From what I've seen, I can be up and back down in half the time a one sticker takes to go up.

Sounds like you might like to have a redundant bridge

@@apexpredatoroutdoors8308 do you happen to get that heat sharing from the cable company? Trunk and feeder heat shrink?

@@timk1512 I used electrical heat shrink tubing with adhesive inside from Amazon. Do you have a link for the stuff you're talking about?

I'm not digging how you have to hug the tree I like this method though it seems very safe I copied it and I use 6-in balls on the tether portion so as the tether goes through the ball and down to my safety strap it provides a gap between the tree and the tether for a handle the ball also holds the tether to the tree and not allowing it to fall

You have to hug the tree? I have to lift the loop up the opposite side of the tree, but not hug it.
Other than that, how was it to climb with?

I initially misread your comment and thought you made a reference to having 6" balls. LOL! It made sense when I reread it.

Ain’t no way you would use that system without a hang on stand. Standing for any extended period with stirrups under your arch is not comfortable. I climbed trees for years with climbing spikes, I know from experience. Cool set up though.

Thanks! I have several options for platforms. For predator hunts, I just use the stirrups as is. For longer sits, I have a board that is suspended from the stirrup lines.
I have a more current videos of the platform on my channel.
