I'm so grateful that you made this video. Despite working full-time and then some, I'm a single parent who's strapped for cash. A dodgy leaking tap that flooded the house whilst I was at work was almost the straw that broke the camels as the saying goes! But thanks to this cheeky chapie's excellent tutorial, I saved myself a fortune on plumbers call out fees and fitted the new taps myself...I'm well Chuffed as I've never done any type of plumbing previously...Many Thanks
yet another superb entertaining video and amazing tips that i will remember when doing DIY plumber works 1) glue is cheap leaks are expensive 2) move the Giraffe out of the way
Another great video! You are on a par with Bradley Walsh for presenting skills, for sure, and should at least be on morning television, have 10 minute slot on one of the programs, giving your plumbing tips to the nation. You could be the Mr Motivator for DIY plumbing enthusiasts!
After subscribing and watching your channel for a few months I have gathered all of the necessary plumbing equipment to completely refit my bathroom and I have spent a few evenings on learning how to plan, bend and solder the pipes as it's arguably the most reliable type of the connection. And after all of that, I can see you using flexis. Well done mate!
Please, please, please take a plumbing show on the road ! You could take a whole set onto the stage and just do your stuff ! You're a natural observational comedian, not a 'too bad' singer and very educating to boot ! I have learned loads from you and saved lots of money doing plumbing jobs for myself ! I even took a dual flush system 'thingy' to bed to work out how to set water levels...say no more, ha ha !
Hi! Only just found these videos as I was looking for some "how to" for removing toilets, basins etc.. ended up watching the whole video! Great work, and thanks for the straight forward tips and information!
The video was somewhat helpful but when showing it to my students they all noticed that you had turned the DWV system into a S-trap that would cause self siphoning and result in a sewer gas smell in the household. I was also amazed at the outdoor running of the waste lines. Doesn't work in Canada, just a little too cold!
Enjoyed the video...Luckily I believe the taps are already installed on the used replacement basin I'm picking up today, the same size as my cracked basin. wish me luck ! PS will obviously get help with the lifting as I'm only little and almost 74 years...!
Another great video. I’m looking for a smallish bathroom sink with full pedestal , I need to hide stuff so the pedestal must fit almost flush to wall , having a job finding anything. Do they exist. ?
This would've been great if it came out last month haha, did a little job for my auntie and although it was fine, it could've been better. Doing plumbing at college
Hi mate I'm English but in the Philippines now got to get a basin off the wall with the retaining bolts well rusted in Any ideas how to remove them easerly I don't mind breaking the bowl to get at them. Has some twit has already broken it Thanks. Just hope u still read these comments or questions 😀
Great video, kitting out my bathroom at the moment so help a lot. Any chance of a video installing a wet room floor? Can't seem to find any decent tutorials on UA-cam for this. Cheers
I wonder if you closed off the hole of the old waste pipe, otherwise it would be a direct access route to mice...thank you for the video, very informative!
Great video. I see you don't seal the waste outlet on the inside of the basin. I've always used Plumber's Mait on that side too - why don't you?? I have to replace one and it has silicone around it - just like the Wickes guy does in his video on UA-cam - I hate silicone when used inappropriately, it's a pig to remove and I have a feeling that my old waste isn't going to shift with silicone either end!!
good video :) i pulled apart a toilet tank behind a stud wall, it was hard work then found a had the wrong flush unit, i thought the pipe from the tank was a standard size of 40mm but the pipe on this one had 50mm pipe :( is this unuseual ?
mate can you come down to New Zealand and install a bath and booster pump off the cylinder for us? good excuse to visit NZ mate, go on please???? lol great videos by the way!
Hi, been watching your videos as I'm just starting out. When you say you turned off the hot water from the airing cupboard. Do you mean the gate valve for the cold feed??
There should be a separate isolator to stop the hot water from the cylinder which is supplying the hot water taps. The cold feed he already turned off at the main stop cock.
great vid 2:00 yea brass nuts are the best i got 2 new taps and you would think you get what you pay for and it came with shitty bendy plastic nuts ahaha
It's one of the eccentricities we have in the UK. Most of the world prefers mixers but for some reason in the UK we're sticking with separate hot and cold water.
Thank you , helpful video, just the last part ,when opened tap water, it was very noisy , running water through waste pipe sounds like flashing toilet . it sounds very loud !!!
Screws are a more secure robust fixing , silicone shouldn't be used as it either doesn't work on the surface or creates a bad bond which can be difficult in removing
Wow so strange to see a separate hot and cold faucet on one sink, what do you do when you simply want warm water, not hot, not cold? Also exposed hot and cold water lines!! Holly crap even your waste lines are all exposed, is this normal over there???? Good video mate.
Fill the basin with cold and hot water....and it's like magic! WARM WATER! But yeah these taps are old school, mixers are the way forward! SUBSCRIBE! ➡️👉 ua-cam.com/users/plumberparts 👈⬅️ IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! 😎
You should have used black waste pipe on the outside of the house as it contains UV protective chemicals to protect againt sunlight but great video overall

Watched your videos. Like your attitude and vocal, mate.
Great job. Keep up the same way!
Can i ask why you wouldnt put the putty on the upper neck of the plug hole then drop it into the sink , creating the water tight seal there ??
Another great video. I’m looking for a smallish bathroom sink with full pedestal , I need to hide stuff so the pedestal must fit almost flush to wall , having a job finding anything. Do they exist. ?
What about the ( old waste hole ) in the wall ? Did you leave it open ?
This would've been great if it came out last month haha, did a little job for my auntie and although it was fine, it could've been better. Doing plumbing at college

Hi, is there a 42mm push fit to glue adapter or turnaround you can recommend? Top vids you are fooking helary arse...
I wonder if you closed off the hole of the old waste pipe, otherwise it would be a direct access route to mice...thank you for the video, very informative!
I've just had to re do my waste. Do you seal the inside of the drain . Around the rim?
At which point matey?

About to replace my first sink. My life is great
Charming video. Thank u for sharing.. u r a good man☺

Sir
Because i have to learn
Wahaay someone shops at tool station by the looks of it ? Haha great video :)
How would you install it if it needed installing on a plasterboard wall?
Thankfulyl as most of the weight is on the pedestal, I'd fix with plasterboard spreading fixings, then glue back. Should be fine!
What is that song you hum at 10:10? Been driving me mad 😂
Shanice - 'I Love Your Smile'
mate can you come down to New Zealand and install a bath and booster pump off the cylinder for us? good excuse to visit NZ mate, go on please???? lol great videos by the way!
Thank you
I keep finding myself back these vids lol
Nice video , why did you drill a new hole for the waste and not use the old hole? Isn't it a standard 32mm??
It was at the wrong height, too high for trap connection
What would you do to rectify the old waste hole on the side of the house?
+JetsofSeven Usually a decent mortar job, or if you have some of the old brick about it can look good like that and mortared up too... PP!
Fill it in!!!
Did you not fill in the old holes left behind when you remove the waste pipe?
Course I did! Just didn't film it :)
Niceeee !!!
In Romania the cost for a plumber in a day is very biiiigggg !
Can you help me to understand some tips ? Like that .
No one cares how is in Romania
Great videos!
Cheers! Sorry for the delay in replying!

+Doug Newitt Cheers mate!
could you not have extended the waste pipe to meet the old hole in the wall? would this impact on the drainage? love your videos by the way?
+Mat Otley Can't remeber, it was a while ago and she's not complained!

Too right mate. Plastic are awful!
Nice. I have to teach this in a school and have never done it myself before...
Top man/lady! I hope it helped you! 😎
I wouldn't put plumbers mait on waste....I always use clear silicone.....what's your take on that??
Clear silicon takes time to dry as compared to the plumbers mate
What about a mixing sink battery? Why are u using single faucetes?
It's one of the eccentricities we have in the UK. Most of the world prefers mixers but for some reason in the UK we're sticking with separate hot and cold water.
What happens when I need move my basin on other side of the room
Another great video. but why would anyone have carpet in a bathroom ??? and how old is that toilet ???
Nice video.
what about the wall paper?
How much do you charge for a basin install?
£100 if all goes well.
Darren Freeman $50
It's Magneto.... He has found a new life again.
Thank you , helpful video, just the last part ,when opened tap water, it was very noisy , running water through waste pipe sounds like flashing toilet . it sounds very loud !!!
what about siliconing the basin to the pedestal ?
Screws are a more secure robust fixing , silicone shouldn't be used as it either doesn't work on the surface or creates a bad bond which can be difficult in removing
Always best and interesting
If only it were so easy!!
Oh my you can fix my plumbing, You are honestly so handsome!!!

Great pLumber
Good videos
Thar basin is a great fit to the pedestal, you can’t get quality like that everyday!
Looking a lot less chunky these days PP, cutting out the pies?
Quality. No appearance from George - but still quality.
Only works in South Africa mate with drain to outside. Please say so next time.
I can never tighten the waste like that at 10.19 when im being watched by a koala !! HOLD TIGHT!!!
You should have used black waste pipe on the outside of the house as it contains UV protective chemicals to protect againt sunlight but great video overall
***** do they! Guess you woukd have to check the specs as I've never come across them, which companies sell them?
I'm surprised You don't use the "Dudley seal kit"? Just an observation not a criticism.
my nephew is plumber in australia.
Mmm that sucks, thankfully I got hold of a new button cable from a plumbers merchant so problem solved :)
1:46 ooh errr
