Most pipers would say it’s too over embellished but it was good overall, not a huge fan of the ending as it’s supposed to be played at a fast pace to a snappy cut off, other than that it was good.
I like to think sometimes, that all the different versions and tempos of this song are just the train either on time, or behind time, or just the conductor just decided to forget there are brakes. I love this tune either way.
@@ruaridhmacdonald3543 I haven't played that tune in years. So I, admittedly, wouldn't be playing it at my best. So I can't post it right way. Furthermore, I would't play it at a speed above what I am capable of playing with quality. Far too many people focus on speed rather than quality. If you play a fast tune (jig and hornpipes) clean, it will sound better than fast and sloppy. If I decide to pick the pipes back up, I will gladly post it for you to hear. Until then, I would never post a substandard performance. Sadly, many folks think they sound good, but are only fooling themselves by not listening for consistency. So, I appreciate your attempt to insult me, but it doesn't change the fact that this player in playing faster than his ability allows. If he would slow it down, it would still sound fast, but clean. Night and day difference. I'm assuming you don't play, otherwise, you would understand.
Fantastic!!! Congratulations, absolutely loved your playing!❤🇦🇺🏴
Great version of one of my favorites! True master of his instrument
I like phrasing, tempo, and also the portamento, great version. Not any one play at that tempo this tune.
Nice try, but it's glissando:
A sliding move between 2 notes.
A portamento is a playing at the end of a note.
Just saying.

I just love the sound of bagpipes
excellent rendition of this tricky wee blighter!
Great playing - good control!

Like the tempo you did, masterpiece❤
Hope you keep playing the bagpipe!
Love bending notes!
Awesome 💙💙
Shredding
Lad must have been late for an apointment
Tune with no melodic line, few flat dull notes on the chanter scale didn't help the performance along much either!
Fürchterlich... Das ist ein Ur alter Dampfzug nach Mallaig und er spielt es als wäre es der Shinksnsen. 😂 Halbes Tempo hätte gereicht.
Way too fast. Sounds like garbage. He has the talent, but blows it with speed.
can you post your version - would love to hear it

Fingers a bit sloppy and needs to work on tempo control. 6.5/10
