The whole piece is called Steam Train to Mallaig. A very popular piece amongst pipe bands. The beginning part as you said the slow tune is the typical solo of which is still part of the tune’s namesake. The whole tune played in full i believe has 2 or 3 harmonies added to the main melody. The girls played it well.
