I don't listen to music with screaming often and this is the only song that has ever literally brought me to tears.
It does that sometimes. I just close my eyes and take everything in, then let my subconscious take over.
That usually does the trick for me. A little feel here and a tear there...I get the same feeling when listening to classical music.

One word comes to mind: Passion.
Music is more than what pop culture/media has mad it into, which is little more than a fad now. Something thats seen as cool or uncool.
Its much more than that, at least it should be. Its an art form. Something many people pour their heart and soul into, and if you actually pay attention you can feel it.
To much of "art" today is concerned with either making money or inflating pretentious egos who make shite and try to pass it off as art.
This song, for example, is more than just simple head banging material. Its a mental soup of joyous metal carnage :)

I know most people in the world wouldn't understand this next statement.... But this is beautiful. So much feeling portrayed through this music. The beautiful cello, violin, and piano. Then the guitar, bass, and drums come in to portray the anger. And the contradicting voices. Beautiful.

I have cried many a time listening to classical music because of the pure beauty of it, I have never cried to metal until now. This song is perfect, it is so beautiful on so many levels. These guys hands down are the most talented band on earth right now. The song and video are absolutely breathtaking

OMG I love this band's theatrical elements.
WhoDarestheMAN gamer I was talking more about the way they incorporate the music into their music videos, and the way the music and the video really come together, but the definition of theatrics is a dramatic performance, so a lot of metal falls in that category actually.
Wow... that was brutal! The opera vocals fit perfectly. Just imagine if they did a concert like Epica's Retrospect with this level of performance plus live choir+orchestra. Glad I found this band!

I absolutely miss Tommaso. He brought a different flair and emotions into the overall epic, operatic sound of fleshgod
I know :( I met him when I first even discovered the band at Summer slaughter in 2011, he was so sweet in person as well :(
he also never had to cheat with his guitar parts while singing even their most difficult songs...I do love Francesco, but he does often play simplified parts (most notably to me in Minotaur and the last chorus in The Fool) and really difficult songs like Kingborn, Pathfinder and Elegy haven't been played live since the lineup changed.
I don't mean to bash on Francesco like that, it's more that Tommaso is a severely underrated guitarist for being able to do it so effortlessly...these songs are difficult enough as it is but on Labyrinth the rythm guitar goes about as hard as the lead guitar most times and is in no way written around the fact that the guitarist is also the vocalist.
In other words: "Shit's so brutal even the author doesn't perform it!"
On a side note, I also miss Cristiano...he had the most menacing stage presence with an awesome psychotic stare

Тут максимум верхів, низів, ударник на найвищому рівні, досить велика кількість музикального інструменту гармонійно задіяна в пісні. Абсолютна гама виконання: можна почути і віолончель і гітару і чітки удари барабанів, які вриваються в "бій" між максимальними низами та максимальними верхами. This is magic. I swear it is. How do they blend melancholy, beauty and anger in such a fine way? I’ve heard all those blended together from other bands but the way these guys do it is just magical! They had to have used some form of dark magic.

Beats the hell out of new suicide silence. Lol. The amount of work put into a song like this is unimaginable. Anyone who says this sucks needs to get their ears checked and needs to pick up an instrument so they can experience how much musicality is required to make something like this. This isn't the kind of metal I usually listen to but man can I appreciate the artists who strive to do shit like this. Much props. Much creativity.

Better yet. Whats displayed =/= actual technical capability. For someone claiming to know about music you seem quite blissfully ignorant of the fact that you very much so change face for what you're trying to create many times. One very real issue surrounding this album they addressed was how the guitars were integrated as a section of strings, verse standing out as their own entity.

Being a long time fan way before Oracles was released, I am amazed by the musicianship of the band. Yes, "Oracles" was definitely heavy. Yes, they progressed. Deal with it because a bands' capabllity is not about sounding the same all the time, but being able to progress and experiment.

I agree, but a band should still stay faithful to their sound as they progress. Fleshgod are one of those bands that nail the balance between progression and conservativism.
@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 Why "should" they? Who makes the rules about how bands are supposed to do things? Everyone's tastes change over time, including the people writing the music. Take a look at Symphony X over the years - they've copped heaps of grief for getting heavier and heavier compared to their roots, but their latest album Underworld was magnificent and one of the best live shows I've been to. And a completely different experience to what they wrote 20 years prior. The reality is that fans will come and go, and that's ok.
That said, I definitely agree with your point about Fleshgod's balance between progression and conservatism. Each album has its own sound but they're still all 100% Fleshgod and magnificent.

I've been watching this guys videos for about an hour now. Every music video is a fucking piece of art. This guys have so much talent I can't believe I just found out about them.
My favorite song off the Labyrinth album and my favorite song by them in general. Love it! It's so beautiful. Veronica looks absolutely stunning and divine, especially in the scene where she's walking down the stairs. Absolutely wonderful.

That guitarist is a sleeping good out there. So much emotions, and he has a unique sound of his own along with a unique tone.
Everyone's complaining about the beautiful soprano voice without even mentioning that.... "guitar solo"... Near the end.
Because the solo wasn't interesting.
The fact that there are vocals over the guitar parts towards the end should tell you that it's not meant to be a melodic lead solo, it's merely accenting the vocal parts and filling the gaps between the vocal patterns and the rhythm guitars. Good to see people can't comprehend metal music beyond basic structural patterns and paradigms.

I saw this video back in my college days circa 2015... After about 5 long years, it bothered the hell out of me to find this... Lost a whole working day trying to figure it out, filtering through all the symphonic metal bands and songs... Finally searched with keywords "symphonic, metal, death, fat, female vocal, soprano, grayscale, church, gothic, masquerade, mask, 2014, 2015, 2016" finally got here.... I'm positively delighted by the result, whew!
