    Hello Dereck,
This song (written by Philippe Djian - probably the most known French novelist of the 80s - and composed by Stephan Eicher) is about a father who's both scared and amazed by the candidness of his teenage son, whom he raises alone. This song parallels his novel “Échine” (spine), released in 88.
    Peace, folks. ☮👈😎

Great memories from when I was 16 when I was 10th Grade in high school.😊🙂😍🥰🤩
I love this song, one of my favorites in this album "Carcassonne" (recorded in the south of France in a hotel room for the studio), one of his best albums at the start of the 90's decade which marks a musical turning point at home more "rock", more "grunge", as was this wonderful 90's decade also with a multitude of musical genres.
There was also Rivière (River) in 1993 and Manteau De Gloire (Coat Of Glory) in 1994 taken from the same opus.
In 1996, he released a song Oh Ironie in an electro dance style.
