DIY Pedalboard Build

  • I made this homemade guitar pedalboard to clean up the mess of cables and effects pedals I have. This was a fun woodworking project that only took a few hours over the weekend to complete. I used sapele wood and dovetail joinery to make this board and I love how it turned out. I installed a power inlet and a couple of 1/4 in jacks to help with cord and cable management . I used General finishes Arm R Seal for a durable finish and added a .250 rubber feet so the pedal board doesn't slide around. Thanks for watching

      don't need those fancy tools at all! a drill, a handsaw, glue and some sandpaper will get you very far!

    Very cool!! As a guitarist of 10 years I need to build one of these! I use a couple of boss stomp boxes, a volume pedal and a multi effect pedal(the boss Gt-1). I want to make a pedal that accommodates these pedals. (Exactly like this!!). I would love to build one of these!! Great work!!

    Love seeing the use of hand tools along with the power. I've been watching through these types of videos like crazy for weeks and this was my favorite one for that very reason. That Father's Day gift is a beauty too!

      I found one you have to search “diy pedalboard no power tools” God bless that man he made a sick board with a hand saw and some nails, it’s a great starting point and if I add 5 inches to the measurements I can make a pedal train terra for about $60

      @@Earthwormjimm eh i'm just building one myself with a jig saw. and a drill lol. d9esmt have to have dove tail joindls or anything its just a pedalboard lol

    Would you mind providing the measurements, and heights at front and back? I picked up some Rustic Pecan today. Planning to start working on a pedalboard this weekend.

      13x17. 1 .5 in tall at the front and 3.25 at the back

    Late comment, but is there a reason not to just use nails instead of the joint?

    • @TwistedWorkshop77
      @TwistedWorkshop77  7 місяців тому +2

      You could use nails. I think this joint is more attractive and it’s stronger. A simple box joint would be a good option too

    Great content bro. In case you weren't aware, you/your channel was highlighted a few weeks back on Pop Wood Playback. Not sure if it was my comment to them or not about you , but I dropped your info in their cpmment section to check you out. The following week, there you were! Hope it helped a bit. Continue the great content, work, dedication and your thorough explanation of all that you're doing in your builds. Very inspiring. There are only a handful of YT creators that keep in mind that there is someone watching and TRYING to learn (if beginning) how to do this. Much respect!

    • @TwistedWorkshop77
      @TwistedWorkshop77  6 років тому

      Wow. Thanks! I did see that they featured the cupboard video. I'm a fan of popwood and am subscribed to them also. It was a huge help to the channel for sure! Thanks for recommending me. As for the explanation of the builds, talking on the videos and doing voice overs is very difficult for me but it's what I look for when searching for videos. I'm glad people like this style. I will keep at it!
