Big thumbs up - nice work on doing that by hand and making it look so good. I don't know if I would have the patience, and yet, if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing right. I feel inspired.
Hi, thanks for watching. Sadly the 3D file for this was on a laptop that died a little while ago and was lost. There are some similar designs here... sambapedalboards.com/building-your-pedalboard/
I think it's a fantastic job and I'd like to copy some things. I'd like to ask you a few questions, On the connection panel, what are the "amp" and "fx loop" connections for? The rest is the current input to the power supply, the output of the pedals "out" and the cable of one of the pedals, right?
Thanks, the conections are the out to the amplifier and the fx loop are the send and return cables for the effects loop of the amp. The others as you say are the power supply and the cable for the amplifier footswitch. Depending on the amp you intend to use you might not need the FX loop out puts.
Thanks for letting me know , I went to woodwork school in Switzerland back in 1995 and the first year they showed us how to do the dovetail with the “Thales” rule , that carpenters used back in the old times….of course I was young and wanted to play music so I didn’t go any further in that school…. I wish I did now that I see what I could build , guitars , pedalboards maybe amps? Thanks!!

Normally I would but I'm on the other side of the world to you and that would make it too complex for me. Sorry but I'll have to pass but thanks for asking.
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams hey I completely understand. I was worried where you were located and what shipping would look like. Can I ask at least what you would normally charge if we lived closer?
Dang. Those joints were fabulous.
Спасибо за видео. Недавно Я то же задумался о педплборде, а тут Ваше виде. Это было полезно в моих разработках. Спасибо.
Спасибо за просмотр, надеюсь, он будет вам полезен.
That's a nice looking pedal board. Good job!
Cheers, still going strong a few years on :)
Very nice, thanks for the inspiration 😁😁
I have nothing with guitars and therefore nothing with these pedals.
But again I enjoyed to see your dovetail joints and your woodworking.
Frank.
Thanks Frank, glad you liked it. This one has been a bit of a long job, the project and the video!!

Thanks, glad you liked it. Once you get the hang of dovetails they go quite quickly :)
Dang, that looks excellent!
Thanks buddy, still looking good two years on :)
GREAT work!
Thank you :)
Great, great work sir!
Thanks Chad, glad you like it. The board is still going strong after a few years use.
Brilliant. Pedal board and the woodwork skills
Thanks Buddy, the board is still going strong a couple of years on :)
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams nothing could destroy that board they way you made it
Hi there. NIce work! Is it possible to get the blueprint? THat'll be awesome. Thanks!!!

Excellent vid and great design
Thanks, it's still holding up and gets used most days :)
LOve the 2 tone dovetails.
Thanks :) I'm really happy with how they came out.
Belo trabalho me inspirou a fazer um parabéns
Muito obrigado

@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Thank you very much for the help, my current amplifier does not need it but I will put it for the future.
Thales!! I learned to do those dovetails longtime ago , I don't remember the formula
Thanks Danny, I use a magnetic saw guide to do my dovetails, generally they are 1:7 for this type of work/wood.

Super job on the pedal board!
May I ask what you used for cutting the dovetails ... it looked like a block of blue anodized aluminium.
Thanks, it's a David Barron magnetic dovetail guide. A great quality bit of kit that makes dovetailing much easier.
what's the dimension and how much does this weigh?
I am in Indianapolis, Indiana and I was thinking something like a 24 x 12 board? Would you be interested in building?

Queria compra um pedal dess ai como fasso ?
Não sei onde você pode comprar um desses, mas existem alguns modelos realmente bons disponíveis online que podem funcionar para você.
Might be good to make some videos about the work on your beetle
Might just do that Kai :)
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams and maybe some of what you've done already
So how much to build me a custom pedalboard such as that?
Depends on the spec, where are you based?
