Mountain Thane has been buffed! Lightning Strikes proc rate increased by 5%, Thunder Blast buffed! It now generates 5 Rage as Fury and 10 as Protection. It also deals 20% increased damage as Protection, and the talent Flashing Skies makes it trigger a Lightning Strike!
This is great!
Burst of Power was nerfed, from 20% chance to proc down to 15% chance. Weird, and not great!
Colossus received smaller changes, but Practiced Strikes now also affects Cleave and Revenge, granting them +20% damage. All of the damage reduction bonuses in the Colossus tree were reduced by 50%.
Slayer was given a lot of small changes for Arms, all numbers tweaks that grant more damage. For Fury, it was redesigned to work primarily with Raging Blow instead of Bloodthirst. This is a good change that will make it much stronger in ST.
Just came back for the end of Dragonflight and have really been struggling to decide between my warrior and monk. This video makes the choice even harder. Lol. Thank you

dont play warrior you will regret it soon! read my big testament about the warrior class and play monk! plus you will have much more fun as monk and with the new tier of a fist weapon and trinket from the raid!

Warrior should get baseline bloodlust. The other two plate classes have combat res which makes Warrior lose out both as a tank and dps, as we also have low utility (will be slighty better with shockwave not a capstone). But our way to handle with Incrop being a 3 min cd and everyone else has 45 sec? Wtf.
So, only solution is to give us a shout that is a bloodlust. Would make both prot AND dps warriors being much more viabel and combinations without Evoker/Shaman/Mage more viable.

22:50 Demolish making you immune to stuns and knockbacks is absolutely massive for warrs.
Protection still needs more team utility imo though. I always advocate for turning Rallying Cry into a Bloodlust, but I’m just a nobody who doesn’t know about balance

I would really like to be able to dw one handers as a fury tank that was really great at controlling many mobs

@WoWatNight had to think about this I don't know the answer honestly. Having SoD come out it brought back all the memories of dw tanking in classic. It would just be really awesome

Warrior is Llarold's favorite class but Brewmaster is his favorite tank.
@@WoWatNightcan you ask him if he feels prot is almost as fun as brew or if he feels it’s quite far behind?
Both are pretty fun, but Brewmaster's definitely stronger at this point.
What is the "3" under the hero talent icon represent in talent tree?
The available points to spend on hero talents, it's a display bug.
Why dont they fix the prot capstones.. noone ever pick capstones on the right (ravager)

longtime warrior main (since tbc): Thane was immediately a dud in my eyes because they built a hero spec around a dwarf warrior fantasy that looks on paper more like a shaman spec. After seeing it in action, it's still a dud because mechanically the lightning strikes are incredibly boring, barely do anything, tickle the enemy, and you hardly even notice them visually.
colossus is sick tho, and my only feedback is that I wish the size increase was like 10% or 20%. I really, REALLY want to see a beefy boi.
Yeah, it's better than it looked in the initial unveiling, but it's still not super great so far. There needs to be more than just passive procs for a Hero Spec to feel like anything special.

hmm well you're not to far off of what you said about what each hero talent tree would be good at but it's just more situational really. i main fury warrior even now despite it not getting properly buffed as it should have been since season 2... mountain thane is gonna be more for cleave/aoe fights while slayer more single target fights. i believe they could be a bit more better. after seeing your test the improvement on the talent trees n such, i still feel they need to keep working at it till it's just better. it's going to the right direction but it's kinda off still.
We hope they'll keep working on them, but not sure about any other big changes coming.

Am I wrong or is warrior the kid in gym class that gets picked last. Im just getting back into WoW after a 10 break, picked up my old warrior and i for the life of me can not get into pug M+. Feel like the warrior brings little to the group and the damage is so lack luster even worse fury just sucks at damage and im forced to play boring arse arms to even compete with the 470 Lock in greens.
Warrior isn't a top pick due to the lack of group utility. It's been that way for a bit.
Fury doesn't need to be slowed down but they need to make rampage cost 80 rage and then use more if you have more or something. I hate that twice this expansion the correct way to play had you overcapping rage.
Maybe the person adjusting warrior doesn't play warrior? 🤔
Slayer spec is okay doesn’t feel as strong as I thought it would. Arms demolish is just to good in pve right now and actually crazy in pvp if you set up a 10 stack hit! Slayer needs to amp up execute I think more than what it is. I think the spec should change how warrior feels to play. The thunder build is meh. I like the thunder shock procs but feels like they need to work. Warrior feeling good for sure I don’t like how annihilater is gone the slam spec actually was good and not as spammy as spamming raging blow build.. idk still in the air about that change
Yeah, Slayer can probably end up working fine, but it isn't quite there yet.
Unpopular opinion: Fury warrior shouldnt be able to dual wield two handers....or at the very least should have to spec into titans grip to use them. Idk Ive always felt like it clouds Arms warrior flavor and the fantasy of the class. Arms warrior use two handers and hit hard......Fury be like...oh yeah well I use TWO two handers and hit hard AND really fast. Idk I always pictured fury warrior as fast paced death by a thousand cuts and arms being the hard hitting juggernaut thats slower and methodical. I know that shipped has sailed and they wont take that away from fury warriors. It is what it is. I enjoy both specs equally

Not a fan of mountain thane thematically. Dozens of other routes they could have taken. I've never understood why warriors even have Thunderclap thematically. Where exactly is warrior conjuring this lightning from? We fucking shamans now? Just makes zero sense.

@@WoWatNight What I think would be a really cool hero spec is a warlord or banner type spec. Warlords banner from shadowlands was a disappointment mechanically, but thematically it was one the coolest covenant abilities in the whole xpac. A hero spec that revolved around planting, carrying, and throwing various colored banners to provide buffs, debuffs, cc, ect would have been so cool.
It’s from Warcraft 3 with the dwarf mountain kings which had stormbolt, thunderclap and avatar.
Lighting Crack from slapping the ground with a Dwarven mace.
What the point of defensive stance being an instant if you’re just gonna be in it the whole time? At that point just make it a prot passive…. I personally liked having to stance swap

Tbh I like the old bastion spear visuals less. It kinda doesn't fit the warrior fantasy
Our channel manager doesn't love the new ones, but agrees that the color scheme is probably a better fit.

Battle stance should give a damage buff so u avtually want to stanxe dance a bit
That would be identical to how it functioned before.
@WoWatNight 3 percent isn't a dmg buff.. defensive stance reduced dmg done so that's the only reason you wouldn't jjst stay in jt
If one stance grants a meaningful damage bonus, then the only reason you would use the less-damage stance is as a defensive CD, just like in Dragonflight.
No other tank has this annoying limitation. They're just at maximum tankiness and damage output all the time. They don't have to lose one to gain the other.
