This is a smart move. For a lot of use cases, silence is far more important than bleeding edge performance (so long as the machine performs "good enough"). Having a BIOS option so you could choose would be awesome (i.e. "Power & Noisy" more versus "Throttled & Silent" mode). I do a far bit of compiling on my laptop, but most of the time I'm just coding in an IDE or reading something in a browser. If it had more cores, I'd buy one to use as another Proxmox node on my homelab.
I have this product in the 6900hx version. This product has a low power limit and temperature limit with an 85w built-in power supply. So, in the case of 7735hs and 6900hx, the CPU's performance cannot be fully utilized. That's a bit disappointing.
It’s almost like: that’s a solid benchmark game to show igpu and dGPU performance 👀… Which you can then use to compare to other benchmarks with the same igpu for relative performance….. Oh and the game is extremely highly rated. Not everyone cares about COD my man

Rhats the point tho. It’s meant run quiet and cool. For max perf you want the SER 6 or Ser7
Theoretically if you were to upgrade the PSU to 100/150W? It would be able to fully utilize the 6900hx?
Thank you. This is the answer I needed. So better I go for the Ser 8. I don't like the magnet cord in the Ser 7 😑
Can you run it on usbc power?
You call that a 'teardown'?
8:00 he got a parrot moment
So yeah you're going to be able to play games on this thing. Demos one game that nobody plays.
