Thank you James. This helps. While connecting to the Doorbell the mistake I did is to press the 'sync' button too long until I hear beep twice. After a few hours, I learnt I just need to press the 'sync' button only for 2 secs at shown at 5:18 here.
Is the Homebase supposed to chime on motion alerts? Or just when doorbell is pushed? Mine does not. How do you set that up. The instructions that come with the device are minimal at best.
Under audio settings, the Homebase can only chime when the doorbell is pushed. I do have an Alexa routine alert that will let me know when motion is detected, and would highly recommend it if you have an Alexa device.
Hi..I'm trying to connect the homebase 2 via WiFi, but mine is not connecting, when does it actually tell you to disconnect from ethernet cable after setup. Would it be better if I remove the device and install again
I’m confused. Did you have the battery powered Eufy door bell or AC powered wired Eufy door bell? I noticed you screwed ( attached) two wires onto the back of the Eufy door bell.
So this is the battery-powered model, which does also feature the option of wiring to your existing wiring. This will trickle-charge the battery, so it is always at 100%, and will still work in the event of a power outage.
When I disconnect the ethernet cable from the router the Homebase 2 also disconnects and the blue light turns off. But it works fine with ethernet so i dont mess with it.
Fast Foward to 4:00 to see the installation of the Eufy Video Doorbell.

Hey! How did you solve the “HomeBase is emitting sound wave to discover new battery door bell”

I do use ethernet as well, as WiFi can go out randomly. But WiFi does connect if I happen to disconnect the ethernet cable.
