@Wanderer001 Thanks for the very clear explanation. I have a question though and hope you have an answer to it... at night you can see 2x3 red leds under the camera and I don't know if there is a possibillity to turn them off?! It's bothering. I turned off the push button, wich is blue, but there doesn't seem to be a solution to turn off the 2x3 red lights... ?
Forgive me if I am wrong but someone can simply stole you doorbell with a simple mobile pin am i correct? Is this for real? they dont include a more secure mounting mechanism?
We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
This is by far the best review I’ve found on UA-cam about this doorbell a very in-depth video can’t believe it was nearly forty minutes long, but it didn’t seem it which is a good indication of quality. I was already about 80% sure I wanted to get this doorbell over others now I’m 100% sure this is the best option for me. Will be looking for any post Xmas deals on this and even if I can’t find a discount I’ll still buy it as it’s definitely worth it.
What a great review, I have two of these in my Amazon basket right now, it's a very good doorbell for the money, the most important part is Local storage and 2k,amazing, thanks for the unbiased review, it appears the brand with the circle has a proper competitor, thank you for your content.😊
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the review helpful and that the Eufy 2K Battery Doorbell seems like a great option for you. It's always important to have local storage and a high resolution like 2K. Appreciate your support!
Brilliant review! I was so confused about all the doorbell gadgets out there but you've sold me on this one. Also I like that it doesn't share all my data. Privacy is important 👍
The first of many reviews that really got my full attention because of the in depth quality. I also watched the raw clips. It seemed to me that in some cases the human detection was a little bit "late" such that I could not see the person clearly. I missed also your comment on night video quality (burglar recognition) and a reference to other "similar" devices as potential equivalent or better alternatives for some of the lesser performing features. Last remark: I noticed (also in reviews from others) that there's quite a bit useless air-view in the top part of the video. Is there not a possibility to make more efficient use of the video field and targeting the camera a bit lower or more efficiently? The adjustability of the viewing angle for most of these products seems very limited or not existing (especially for vertical direction). Btw: great and very clear review you did. Keep going! Thanks!
The only way to have a more useful field of view would to tilt the doorbell down some. As far as a know eufy does not offer this so you would have to fashion your own.
Love the bell (off bell storage, no subscription, proper video and sound quality). Don’t love things like the battery usage. After less than 1,5 year both are only working for a few days, even with motion detection off). Connecting it to the old bell power, gives a horible static buzz (grounding). Also the lens cover came off from both. If the wifi signal in house is bad, so is the motion detection, and connection in general.
Best review yet but not quite as full as i need .Can you use an Alexa show to speak to a visitor or do you only have audio one way? It seems silly you may see and hear a visitor but have to use your phone to speak to them .Also does the doorbell still work while its being charged ,is there a possibility of wiring it to a usb charger so its always fully charged ?Thanks
I don't have an echo show which is why I did not test that. I have seen other reviews where they pull up the feed from the doorbell. The doorbell does continue to work while charging. So in theory what you arw discribing could work. However, if you wire the doorbell to a pre-existing doorbell wiring. It would trickle charge the battery without having to have a USB charger.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews hi ,yes i have been trying to verify if you can talk using a Show device and even asked the company but they refuse to give a definitive answer (which makes me believe not if so why not just say it does?) .I to have seen vids of the screens seeing and hearing the visitor but none so far with the onscreen microphone symbol you see when Ring devices are in use .The doorbell looks perfect but until i can see it talking to the visitor i shan't buy it .My mrs is partially blind so cannot even find the phone most of the time but she does have an 10" show device so using it in two way conversation would be great. If anyone out there can confirm either way i would be grateful thanks i have a two way audio on a camera by the door but Alexa hasnt the skills to use two way audio with it ,it instantly pops up when the camera sees motion and you can hear the visitor but in that case you cannot talk back as theres no option to do it. Many companies advertise with the "works with Alexa" but to date all in a limited fashion 🤬
I was listening to another video about a dashcam for your car that claims to be 4K and 1080P for the rear. He compared this with other 4K dash cams and the comparison was roughly the same when it came to trying to make out something that should be visibly easy to read. He said something to this extent that maybe there using a upscaled version of 4k or maybe how they compress the pixels to try to get 4K which is watered down. I believe he is correct rather than the company coming out and saying that it is true native 4K. I feel that Eufy doesn't have true 2K cause I've tried it for myself where I was able to compare a 1080P camera vs 2K. I do see a ever so slight difference but not a night and day difference. I wonder if Eufy is hiding that or maybe its in small print. I love Eufy and its products cause its innovative and constantly trying to grow and expand but I feel its important that they keep clear transparency to its consumers
A big fan of eufy but my experience of doorbell was phantom ringing when just outside the warranty period. Research showed a common issue and after trying all suggestions had to change to a ring doorbell which has been much more reliable.
Great review! I just have one dump question.. if for some reason there is a power outage the camera will be still on by the baterry power but any video will be not recorded ¿right?
Great review!! Would it be able record sound automatically upon human detection of the person outdoor or only when conversation is on-going between one indoor versus another outdoor then sound of the stranger would be capture?
Great review! I’ve been eyeing this baby for quite some time and your review is one of the most complete I’ve seen. My front door is right on the sidewalk, would it be triggered by people simply passing by?
More than likely. You can lower the detection range of the doorbell but if it is that close the the side walk it might be hard to not get false triggers.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I also thought that since I already have a Eufy CAm2 overlooking my main entrance, activate notifications only when the button gets pressed. The camera can capture all other actions
For me I am just not sure if I want to give Google anymore data on me. It is why I ended up not going with the nest smoke detector when Google was getting ready to buy them.
This was the best Tutorial out there! Hands down. My settings look different. I don't have a sprocket in the corner. or some of the other features you are using. Please Advise. Does it matter which app or phone you are using?
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thank you so much for your quick reply! Okay I have an Apple Phone. When you make another video can you let your viewers know. Some people may have the same question. In the meantime keep making awesome videos😊
What did you do when it said 'Homebase is added successfully" but the application it did not? (11mins 10sec). From there you went straight to showing your app on the phone can please describe what you did. Apart from that this video is absolutely fantastic!
When I went to go back and try and re-add the home base it wouldn't let me because it showed that it was already there. That's why I did not show it again. Realistically all I would have done is try to add it again. I've had some tech where I've had to try a few times to get something to attach to an app. It's commonplace.
Hi great review. Do you know if there is the options for multiple app users in the same household on different phones to access the same doorbell. Also do you know if there is an option to power the doorbell from a mains adapter? Are you aware of options for using the same app interface for more than one geographic location ie home & office? Thanks !!
Yes you can do this either by both using the same account or having two different accounts. You can only trickle charge the battery connecting this to a mains power. Your last question I am not sure about. If I understand correctly you could set up a "location" for home and work and set up cameras as part of either location and access them that way. I set up a home for myself and for the cameras I gave to my parents. Hope that helps.
Hi, brillant review and very informative! I already bought the 2c pro cameras with the eufybase 2. All working fine! Then afterwards i bought the doorbell and it came with a chime. When i press the doorbell the eufybase 2 makes a ringing sound. Im just wondering should the separate chime that came with the device also make a sound? As of now it doesnt even though ive it plugged in and the green light is showing on the chime. It would be handy to plug in upstairs in case we didnt hear the eufybase 2 downstairs. Id love to get your advice. Thanks!
It sounds like you paird the doorbell to the home base and not the chime. I am not sure if you can pair it to both but go into your app and set up the chime with your account and when it asks you to attache a doorbell see if it will let you do the one that is already attached to the home base. I don't see why they would not let you do both. So it is worth a try.
Hey great review and I have purchased a couple and recommended to neighbours (neighbors) - however - the NEW 2K (dual camera) version appears to present a problem on removal.. I upgraded and sometime later found that the removal hole - on the bottom here - is suddenly no longer there! I suspect it has moved to the top, but that presents TWO issues: I mounted the doorbell under a lintel and used the same template BEFORE the upgarde to dual camera (oops) and second, without the removal hole on the bottom, people might think the OTHER holes there are to be poked. NO! I believe these are for the speaker and there will be resulting damage if the instruction for the older doorbell are followed. It is a great camera though - disgruntled - but still impressed - Manchester UK.
Yes I could see that as being an issue. Personally I do think the hole on top might actually be a little better as you should be able to see it without having to bend down to try and find the hole under this one. I can see when if upgrading you think the hole is still on the bottom that could creat issues.
Thanks for that info, I’ve just bought one and for the life of me couldn’t find that removal hole in the bottom, I was beginning to thing they had forgotten to punch one in at the factory 😊 I haven’t mounted it yet so rill check the top for it.
Nice going with this very awesome info video. I have a wired door bell but would like to opt for installing this battery on hooked to my wires. Does that present any issues to using this? I thought that EUFY could use an SD card but I didn't see it in the video.
I was racking my brain on how to make this item work and I found your video and it help me bunches...oh thank you, thank you thank you...I thought I was going to lose my mind because the darn thing didnt want to work with me.
I still had trouble bc my cell wasn't showing what his was. But figured it out. On the camera device, he had icons across the top, especially the sprocket. Mine didn't. But on the bottom right, mine has 3 dots, which then show snooze and sprocket. I don't have all the options his does, but at least I can do some settings.
I think you are refering to the recording buffer. On the wired doorbell the doorbell records constantly on the buffer but only saves clips when triggered including 3 seconds of the pre trigger buffer. This does not happen with the battery version even when hot wired to permanent charger. You only get your clip from the moment it triggers. However..... i watched a test vid where they tested both bells side by side and it seems it doesnt really make a whole lot of difference. I also have Eufy floodlight with 6 second buffer and that does make a difference. You get full 6 seconds pre trigger. My Eufy battery doorbell has lasted 8 weeks and is now broken. Motion detect stopped and battery drain causes shut down, Eufy have been good in communications and have agreed to replace it, however ive read a lot online about this problem. It sounds a common problem. If my replacement Eufy doorbell does the same thing i will be done with Eufy. Fingers crossed.
👌🏼🤔🤔 I am torn. This one seems amazing!! Is the dual worth it? I like the geofencing (my yard is like yours) and i don’t get packages here lol It’s rare so I just get them delivered & pick up @ CV
I have wondered the same thing. I have picked up the dual to test but have only just started. The dual is much pricier then this one which could be a big selling point if you don't need all the extras.
@@gigi6353 If that is the case I would go with the savings of $60 you get with this one, and if you get it through Amazon right now it looks like there is an extra $30 coupon for it. Hard to say no to saving $90.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thank you for your response and recommendation. I’m looking into it for my home. I currently don’t have a doorbell or get to many visitors to my home but I live in a HIGH traffic area, cars and pedestrians
This was the BEST! I am buying this thanks to all of your terrific informative video. Among the other cool benefits is that I can utilize my 4 Amazon Fire tablets and Echo that are throughout my 2 bedroom apartment. Great Job Wanderer!
Great review! Do you know... it's it possible to sync other smart devices with this hub? I purchased the doorbell & hub and want to buy some hub connected smart bulbs, but I'm struggling to identify if their are any brands that can connect to this one. Thoughts? Thanks!
The hub for this doorbell acts as a storage station for the video clips. This company sells other cameras that will attach to this particular Hub to save those video clips as well. This is not a hub that would talk to other smart devices like light bulbs or smart switches. The only light bulb hub that I can think of is Philips Hue. Most manufacturers have moved away from using hubs to control Smart Home devices. However if you are looking for something that would interoperate with many manufacturers you may want to look at products that support zigbee or Z-Wave.
Thanks for your review. It's very thorough! My old doorbell faces the opposite side wall and does not face the street. I only have about an inch of door frame where the doorbell would fit where the doorframe hits brick. So, not enough room to mount the camera next to the door. Is it viable to mount this directly to the front (wooden) door? Or should I just mount it where the old doorbell is? Thoughts?
I don't know how I would feel about drilling into a front door for a doorbell, but maybe some double back tape could work. As far as positioning goes it would work out just fine.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thanks for your comment! My only other option is to drill into the brick, which would work as long as I don't tear up the brick! :)
@@64MustangGT I have seen some other reviewers that go through testing doorbells mount a block of wood into brick and then drill the doorbell into the wood block. Not sure if that is better or not, but it is an idea too.
My old door bell ( very different to eufy) I mounted it using Gorrila tape it’s be fine for 3 years, bought the eufy yesterday as the communication on the old one has started to Get a bit garbled. I like to talk to the visitor so I’m not up and down the stairs answering the door every time.
I would have to agree. However it does depend on the amount of light the camera gets. I did lots of footage testing here: ua-cam.com/video/Y6XGXGzjF9k/v-deo.html
I realize that your video is one year old. And during that last year I’ve owned this same doorbell. My review… It’s crap. I was charging the battery every 4 to 5 days. They claim up to 180 day battery life… they are nuts ! I did not have any unusual activity just a couple of people going in and out during the day and may be a delivery every other day. I replaced it with a 100% better LINDO dual camera doorbell. It is amazing‼️
@@Wanderer001_Reviews yes, i had zones. with minimal use. maybe i had a lemon. i corresponded with the company several times about it but the never offered to replace it. the Lindo that i have now has amazing battery life. No more frustrations.

@@Wanderer001_Reviews I think I didn't ask properly... The can the doorbell be powered (out of the box) differently than the battery? Thank you so much
@@harrisedgar When I said it would need a little dyi it was more about mounting the doorbell if you power it with a battery back. The port on the back that is use for charging is placed right on the back so it would not mount flush to a wall if you try to power it that way.
Great review, Thank you, the one question i have does the Eufy play automaticly the live screen / feed to your Google home screen (google hub 2e gen.) if someone rings the door?
There is no way to add an SD card. It is the one thing I wish this could do. The home base can be used by multiple cameras, as long as they are compatible. As for phones as long as you share the camera or account with other phones they can all use them.
@@waymor2460 At the phone level they can as long as there are two differnt acocunts. On the app level no. Changing notifications will change it for anyone using the doorbell.
So you cannot swap out the battery for another whilst charging it? instead you have to remove the ring bell from the mount? That's a definite negative, however having free local storage with remote access without the need for a subscription is a positive.
I will agree having to take it down to charge and not have a doorbell for a few hours is a negative, but for the most part one you can work around. Free local storage and remote access with person detection for free is a winner in my books.
YOU MUST NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AS CURRENTLY SUPPLIED. The problem with all 2K Eufy cams (this doorbell included) is that pressing and holding the reset/sync button deletes all associated video stored on the HomeBase (true!). On the cams, the button (ridiculously) is on the top, so very easy to access, on the doorbell, it is on the rear, so a touch trickier. Don't forget that burglars will simply swipe the cameras off your wall with a pole or wrench the doorbell from its mount to access these buttons. If they are more careful, they can wipe the vids without damaging the hardware and then, of course, steal the cameras. In fact, some may be tempted onto your property precisely, and only, to steal the cameras.... Burglars are as good at their 'job' as you are at yours. They will have a Eufy doorbell release key and they will, for sure, know about this major security hole. I have confirmation of this design flaw directly from Eufy support. They are currently stating October 2022 for a fix, but don't hold your breath. Video recording are NOT wiped by the reset method if you have a cloud subscription BUT, as most of us buy this system precisely to avoid such schemes, this will not appeal to many of you... In addition, the doorbell demo'd here does NOT support cloud storage, so it is not even a full fix even if you are tempted. Happy to supply June/July 2022 Eufy emails supporting these comments. I'm not sure a security camera that can be wiped by a burglar is 'fit for purpose' and I am certain that Eufy's failure to mention this problem in pre-sales is, by denying potential customers critical information for making an informed purchasing decision, a breach of UK consumer law (and, doubtless, elsewhere).
This relies on bad actors being in the know of what doorbell have this issue. Your simple smash and grab BNE are not going to know this. Also, if you have a video doorbell chances are you also have other cameras around your home.
Something to keep in mind if it’s below freezing battery won’t recharge (lithium batteries do this) therefore you can technically run out of battery in the winter as it won’t recharge
I’d like you to do a video on the alarms, I can’t seem to turn it off easily if it goes off. Also I’m using a iPhone & the menus you showed seem to be different from yours. Maybe it’s the phone or the fact I’m from the uk & it’s set out differently. Anyway you helped show different things & yes there is definitely an audio delay, a bit frustrating 😂
Sorry to say I can not do a video for you. I upgraded to the eufy dual doorbell and gave this one to a family member. What I can tell you is yes the app on a iPhone will look different then what I have here as I am on Android. What are you trying to turn off? The notification if someone presses the button or a motion alert?
I have a Samsung Galaxy and I don't have all the icons he is showing to set this up. My device camera screen has NO icons on it, so I can't change any settings.
The doorbell itself connects to the base station which is hardwired during the setup process. After which you can opt to connect the base station over WiFi, but that would only be 2.4ghz.
Sorry this might have been asked already or you might have covered it in the video, but, does the camera record once detecting movement or only if someone presses the doorbell? Thank you
It will record in both cases. However, the movement is based on a PIR sensor, so it needs heat and movement to trigger. This is to help cut down on power usage, most doorbell use this method.
Sounds good, But is it reliable and work 100% as advertised for a long time? My Ring device was perfection when it worked but was totally unreliable. never got more than a day or 2 out of it before you had to reboot and do all kinds of adjustments. i dont want to repeat that.
I don't think anything can be 100% all the time. What I can say is that I have not had to reboot this ever and once I had it dialed in I did not need to fiddle with it any after that.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thats good enough for me.With Ring i have to reboot something every single day and it still doesnt alert at times, even that the same day. I just canceled my ring protect plan. I ordered an Eufy. Hope to have a better experience.
very satisfied with device. 1 exception. lots of trouble removing doorbell for recharge. I stuck the pin in but the unit did not pop off easily. Took quite some time and many attempts including a call to Eufy. Any tips to make this process easier.?
Hey mate. I bought the battery version of the eufy 2k doorbell cam that I’m looking to hardwire. I’m just not sure about my transformer as it was installed prob decades ago. It’s an Arlec Bell and Chime Transformer with 240V 50hz /5-16v 1A. Would this be sufficient to handle the doorbell or would i have to upgrade?
If the battery powered doorbell has connection provision to wire it to your existing doorbell wires, what's the difference between models? 🥴🤪🙄 I was under the assumption that a 16 gig SD card could be swapped out from somewhere to a larger SD card. Also, if the doorbell itself is not wifi based but rather talks to the base station, the I'm left assuming that communication is bluetooth based. If so, what is the max distance between doorbell and base station. Thx
So big differances between wired not non wired: Wired has 3s Pre-buffer for video. Wired only have 4GB, On Doorbell storage, and can not take to home base. Wired comes with a digital chime. Wired is also only 1080p, not 2k like the battery doorbell. As for how the battery doorbell talked to the home base, it creates its own wifi network for the two to talk. So it is not directly sitting on your home wifi network.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thank you for fast reply. So, let me get this right. For the wired version, proximity from doorbell to wifi router is important for signal because it wont talk to the base station. Do I still get a base station? Why can the wired version talk to my home wifi but not to the base wifi??? 🥴 Can the strength of my existing wifi signal accurately be determined by simply checking my wifi signal at the doorbell location with a smartphone prior to purchase of the doorbell? Will wired version offer quicker ability to respond? Does eufy offer cloud storage of video in addition to the 4gigs? Does the wired version prevent me from connecting additional cameras? I know... lots of questions, but the more I learn the more questions I end up with. Sorry, and thanks again.
There is a monthly plan for cloud storage. It just seems as a way to kind of push peiple to the battery version as it can be wired to trickl charge. The base station can now be wireless so more options for placement in proximity to the doorbell itself.
@@13mowe I did buy one and it works well, but the distance in the actual install wound up not being very long for me. I haven't tested it to it's potential so i don't know what max range would be. I'd have to test it a bit to see
I understand it can be wired as well, if true, how does it perform while wired? Does the battery cover it in power outrages? Does the wired power keep it charged? Do any of the features improve while wired (less dropped frames, faster detection, less lag)?
The doorbell would "work" during a power outage but because video is sent back to the base station if there is no power there the "system" will not work. As for wiring the doorbell because of the way that this is made you are not going to see to much of a performance up grade. This is because the way it detects motion is by using a PIR sensor which is different from a camera that is comparing its video feed looking for motion changes.
Someone may have already told you this but you can see battery life percentage by going to "settings" for each device and then clicking on "power manager." It will show you the percentage on that screen in the app.......
I am curious about the possibility of having two members of the family with Apps installed in different smartphones associated to the same video doorbell. Will it work? Will both wife and husband receive notifications at the same time from the doorbell? What if both try to respond to a event? Is this possibility covered by the product?
Yes this will work just fine. Both phones will get the notifications at the same time. However, responding is a first come first server. You both would not be able to view the live feed at once.
Please excuse my ignorance, but is the base station for storing the video and pics that the camera takes? I've reviewed other doorbell cameras and some do not have the base station. If i understand it correctly the base station is doing what the other doorbell cameras charge you for to put your video in the cloud, is that correct? And if i don't have or don't want to connect the base to my modem can i set it up on my Wi-Fi?
You are correct the base station stores the photos and videos that are taken by the doorbell. It is one of the benefits of this particular doorbell. However you do need the base station in order to use this door bell. This doorbell does not connect directly to Wi-Fi. Instead it is connecting to the base station that is hardwired.
If you do not want to have it connected via the cat cable after setup you will need to change the connection over to wifi. Then you can place it where you like.
You said in your video that the exterior doorbell attachment does not sit on the network and that it communicates with the bay station. Do they need to be within some proximity of one another?
@@joshoooway Sadly I do not. I know know they describe it as "private low-power wireless connection between the Doorbell and Homebase reduces standby power consumption by 58%.".
I am obviously confused because I'm sure I have seen "words" in advertising literature that implies you can access the Eufy doorbell from the internet to see who's calling and stored video. I know that the Eufy doorbell doesn't have a subscription model and hence no internet presence/connection. Is it possible to connect to the internet to view live or stored video.
Generally what this means is being able to access the camera feed and saved clips while not at home. To do this you would need a smart phone with access to data or wifi which can be considered connected to the internet. eufy does offer cloud storage of clips for a fee but it is not required to use this doorbell.
I cant find a single video review that actually shows it working. It would've been so good to let somehow press the doorbell and actually show the menu that popups on the phone. Ive been searching for hours now and noone shows an example of this.
I can understand this and do try to show this now, but part of this might be do to it showing differently on Apple vs Android. Not everyone has access to both and if you show one someone will ask about the other. Generally they show up just like a notification you get for a text.

There are two way you can do this. For how to share this will show you the section: ua-cam.com/video/ne4dyWxkZT0/v-deo.html.
I don’t get it why no manufacturer is implementing the possibility to turn off the ring sound at specific times like nightime. Example : 11.45pm until 7.30am do not ring the bell ! My phones are on DND but what about the home base station?
I have a question - because the battery is built and not removable, if the battery over time dies out that means a whole new doorbell will have to be bought - correct? How long does the built in battery will last before it die out?
The battery in this is good for a very long time. You can charge it around 500 times before you start seeing loss of battery life. Depending on how much movement you have around it a single charge can last well over a month.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thank you for your quick respond. Have you done a review on the Eufy hardwired, Lindo hardwired and if so can you link the video? With the Eufy hardwired is there a battery or is it completely installed hardwired, no battery. Thanks sooo much, Pam

I like it as a easly placed battery powered smart doorbell.
You have ability to explain everything more clear than others! Thanks 🙏
Happy I was able to help. Nice know it was time and effort well spent.
This is the best and most thorough review of any gadget I've yet come across. Thanks.
Happy to hear the effort was worth the time.
Brilliant review!
I was so confused about all the doorbell gadgets out there but you've sold me on this one. Also I like that it doesn't share all my data. Privacy is important 👍
Very much so, happy I was able to help.
Tnx man! I bought this doorbell last week for 180 euro's. Very nice product. Nice and complete review too!
Happy to help.
If the wifi signal in house is bad, so is the motion detection, and connection in general.
great review very well presented. can more than one phone be connected to the battery powered eufy doorbell?
Yes, they would just need to have the eufy app installed.
Awesome review! Very detailed and clearly presented!
Correct because the recordings are saved to the base station which needs power and a connection to the internet to function
@@Wanderer001_Reviews got it.. thank you!
Great review!! Would it be able record sound automatically upon human detection of the person outdoor or only when conversation is on-going between one indoor versus another outdoor then sound of the stranger would be capture?
It will capture audio once movement is detected as long as you have this setting turned on.
A great video! I just bought this unit today. If I connect the wires, this means the battery is always charged. Right?
Yes it will always be topped off.
That would work out pretty well.
Great review. Torn between this and the new nest doorbell battery. The battery life and 2k features are a big plus and the AI recognition.
For me I am just not sure if I want to give Google anymore data on me. It is why I ended up not going with the nest smoke detector when Google was getting ready to buy them.
And you think EUFY whom are an Anker product which is a Chinese company won’t have data on you?
It is more about who you want to gu e your data to at this point.
Please do an in depth of the eufy camera system. Also one implementing a NAS system. Thank you
I will see what I can do.
This was the best Tutorial out there! Hands down. My settings look different. I don't have a sprocket in the corner. or some of the other features you are using. Please Advise. Does it matter which app or phone you are using?
Thank you. The app can look different depending on the phone you are using Apple vs Android. In my case I was showing Android.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thank you so much for your quick reply! Okay I have an Apple Phone. When you make another video can you let your viewers know. Some people may have the same question. In the meantime keep making awesome videos😊
Thanks for the feedback. That makes perfect sense.
Amazing Review! Thanks. One question, Can I trigger the base station siren through the app?
You can but only some of the cameras give you access to do that.
Absolutely fantastic review. Thank you. Tell me, is there an option to turn off base station chime, say 8 to 4 on weekdays?? Working from home.
Right now there is not. You can only snoze it for a set time the day of. No repeating schedule.
Got the doorbell and two cameras and they do a good job
Thank you for the great video . Does the home kit box works as a chime also
That I am not sure of. I do not have home kit to test out.
Thanks for that info, I’ve just bought one and for the life of me couldn’t find that removal hole in the bottom, I was beginning to thing they had forgotten to punch one in at the factory 😊
I haven’t mounted it yet so rill check the top for it.
brilliant video covers everything you need. new app is updated version but same features in different place. This video helps to set up what you need.
Thank you. That is the one issue with adding the app as part of the review. They change so fast you will always be playing catch up.
Great video! can you please confirm which is synced to the router first? the doorbell or the base unit, regards
Home base first, then doorbell.
Nice going with this very awesome info video. I have a wired door bell but would like to opt for installing this battery on hooked to my wires. Does that present any issues to using this? I thought that EUFY could use an SD card but I didn't see it in the video.
No it does not, and this one does not have an SD card. It uses the base station to store all the video clips.

Hey thanks for the video. The alarm however is not good enough. Is there any way we can increase the sound of the alarm?
Well explained video got one today was so confused in choosing the right one big thank you
Happy this was able to help you.
Great review.
Do you know if you wire this battery version in, are you then able to have the camera constantly record like the wired version?
Even if this is hardwired in it will still only record clips and triggers. It can not just record constantly.
Hi. Thanks for your upload. Did you find a way of being able to only be notified for motion events overnight for example? Thanks.
Sadly it does not look like there is a way to do that currently.
Bruh…I was supposed to sleep 40 mins ago! Damn that was an in depth review. Thanks for that.
Lol sorry for the loss of sleep. I will consider adding a disclaimer at the start. 😊
👌🏼🤔🤔 I am torn. This one seems amazing!! Is the dual worth it? I like the geofencing (my yard is like yours) and i don’t get packages here lol
It’s rare so I just get them delivered & pick up @ CV
I have wondered the same thing. I have picked up the dual to test but have only just started. The dual is much pricier then this one which could be a big selling point if you don't need all the extras.

Happy I was able to help.
I've read that it stops recording after the doorbell is pressed? Is that correct? I've read about the delay as well.
It keeps recording. Tested it on my way out of the house this morning.

Excellent review whilst providing comprehensive instructions for its use and operation. Well done sir.Thank you very much for your effort.

Yes, very good and a plus for the ALEX-A idea... :) .
As much as I'd like to take credit for the renaming of Alexei that actually came from a twit podcast All About Android.
literally you explained everything. Big thanks 🙏. But I would like to ask you is that possible to connect it with Google hub with big screen?
I am not sure. I do not have one that I can test out to know for sure.
Hi great video, quite detailed. How is the night time video. As per lifejacket review night time video seems quite choppy and low frame rate.
Did you create any motion zones or play with the sensitivity? I gave this doorbell to my parents. They still use it to this day.

The plugged into a power brick would need a little DYI on your part but yes.
You would have to set up an if this then that to have that happen. Normally you just ask the Google home to show the live feed.
Woo amazing review!!! Uuhhhh-mazingggg 👌🏻! I just ordered mine but picked up the 2k floodlight from best buy!!!
Happy to help. I was so impressed with the eufy stuff I was given to test I actually went out and purchased the Solar powered 2k outdoor camera.
great review, thanks. Is there any way to add an SD card for storage? And can it be used on multiple phones/devices? Thanks!
There is no way to add an SD card. It is the one thing I wish this could do. The home base can be used by multiple cameras, as long as they are compatible. As for phones as long as you share the camera or account with other phones they can all use them.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews If 2 phones share can each customize notifications?
I wish this had one camera to two hubs/chimes, where the second chime can be placed further into the house where you might not hear the first one
They do have other systems that might be a little closer to what you are looking for.
Something to keep in mind if it’s below freezing battery won’t recharge (lithium batteries do this) therefore you can technically run out of battery in the winter as it won’t recharge
Very ture.
Thank you for your quick reply it really helped 😊
Yay! I’m going to try it in the doorbell frame for my apartment door.
Good use for this style of doorbell.
Hi, thanks for the all information. Is this camera only connect with 5 gigahertz or it can connect with 2.5 gigahertz also?
????
The doorbell itself connects to the base station which is hardwired during the setup process. After which you can opt to connect the base station over WiFi, but that would only be 2.4ghz.
What a fantastic review!!!
Thanks for breaking it all down sir
Happy to help.
Eufy is the best security camera ecosystem hands down.
I have been liking what I have seen so far. Even went out and got a few things of my own to test out mroe.
Thank you for the review. Wish they did a white one 🤔

I have found that I need to lightly pull the doorbell from the mount as I use the key to remove it.
As you would only be trickle charging the battery of the camera that should be fine.
Great review .. best i have watched and i jave seen them all
Thank you very much.
I'd be very interested to know what the effective range of the base station to the doorbell is. How far apart can they be?
Stated 300ft with no obstructions, so figure half of that because of walls.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thanks very much - that's been missing from all the reviews and it's kind of important
Very true.
@@Foxer604 have you bought one ? I have the same, long distance is needed . How did you get on if you did
@@13mowe I did buy one and it works well, but the distance in the actual install wound up not being very long for me.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews how to access doorbell from another city ?
As long as you have the eufy app on a smart phone you can access the doorbell from anywhere.
Someone may have already told you this but you can see battery life percentage by going to "settings" for each device and then clicking on "power manager." It will show you the percentage on that screen in the app.......
Yes I did make a notation that you could find the battery life on a different page I just wish it was on the main screen.
What do you do when your UV doorbell does not pair up to your ufi station
Excellent video, thank you.
Happy to help.
Does the base station have to remain hardwired to a router or can you disconnect it once everything has been set up?
If you do not want to have it connected via the cat cable after setup you will need to change the connection over to wifi. Then you can place it where you like.
I am a little concerned how quick and easy it is to dismount from the bracket,I would have thought they would have locked it in there somehow?
The most you are going to have is either a pin release like this one or a pressure screw. Nothing that is really going to lock things in.
Just ordered this with a 2C add-on camer as well.
That is the thing I like about the base station you can add more cameras to it and have them all in one spot Just wish you could expanded the storage.
You said in your video that the exterior doorbell attachment does not sit on the network and that it communicates with the bay station. Do they need to be within some proximity of one another?
Yes they should be within a few hundred feet of each other.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thanks for the reply. Do you know if they communicate via bluetooth?
@@joshoooway Sadly I do not. I know know they describe it as "private low-power wireless connection between the Doorbell and Homebase reduces standby power consumption by 58%.".
@@Wanderer001_Reviews understood. Thank you for the feedback! Really great, thorough review 👍🏼
If you are away from home do you still have access to alerts and events videos or do you have to be inside your home (wifi network)?
You can access everything from anywhere as long as you have a data connection.
Great review ...a lot of info a whole lot ...nam jamaica
You were showing a live feed in the app but it had no live audio? So is this a fake video?
No, just have the audio muted.
Question :
Front the camera ... how many feet left and right does it see ?
Just trying to figure out where to stub out my wire . Thanks
About 40 feet depending on mounting.
thank you for an interesting review,,🙏
one issue i have is the 2 way audio,,i can hear visitors very clearly but my audio from the app/phone inside speaking to them is very low,,ive tried all the audio settings and its still very low,,any ideas would be appreciated,,👌
Is the audio just low or is a sound coming out of the doorbell choppy?
@@Wanderer001_Reviews hey thankyou for replying,👍,,its just very low,,you literally have to put your ear next to the doorbell,,im assuming the volume should be the same volume both ways,,
@@stevo4649 Not the same but at least much louder then what you are describing. Was it always like that for you? Just wondering if the speaker was damaged some how.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews dam it that could be possible, when i look up through the speaker holes at the bottom theres a small hole, looks like its been pierced,i dont recall poking it there but i did take it off the mount to give it its 1st charge recently,,oh no,,,😟
very detailed review!
Hi can I add my family members on to the account to use the camera at the same time. Thanks
There are two way you can do this. Either you give them your username and password for your Eufy account and they log in on their devices, or they can create their own Eufy accounts and you just share this doorbell with them that way.
It would be nice. With any luck that is a simple software update that could be pushed out at some time.
Thanks sooo much,
Pam
@@pamelawalker9056 I have not tested either type of doorbell as a hardwired version. Sadly my home setup is better for battery powered versions. I had not heard of the Lindo brand before.

I need a battery-powered Wi-Fi outdoor security camera and video doorbell without paid monthly subscription. What do you recommend?
This one will give you the most options that I have seen without having to pay for them.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thanks for the reply. Can I connect it to my existing doorbell wire chime?
You can but it will not set it off. It only will ring from the base station.
