The more I ride it the more I appreciate it . I want to upgrade to an 800 Nk because that bike put a big smile on my face in terms of fun, power, sound and handling. I don't mind at all that has no traction control, I even test it against a duke 890 and found the sitting position more comfortable for me vs a duke. Please stop talking trash about chinese bikes , your computers and Iphones are made in China too :) . CFmoto has annual sales around 600 k units / year and has formed partnership with KTM and Yamaha, the bike designer for CFmoto used to design bikes for MV Agusta. So let's be fair here , nobody never had issues with their japanese bikes like oil leaks, engine failiures, forks and seals, stator and so on ... Common guys :)

There is a lot of negative talk about cfmoto. It usually comes from people who've never even ridden one. I have been a die hard fan of Japanese motorcycles since the 1980s. I do believe they are far ahead of American motorcycles in longevity and styling. But Japan has been seeking help from the Chinese for production for a long time. They have honed the craft. The one non Japanese bike i would have considered in the past would have certainly been a KTM. This particular bike uses the same engine as the legendary KTM Duke 790. CFMOTO uses steel rather than aluminum where they can, to keep the price point low. With good manufacturing practices, steel is much stronger pound for pound. There's a good chance these may not hold up as well in racing conditions as their Japanese cousins. But most of us are just cruising around on the streets, and these bikes offer a lot for that.
Hey I’m looking for my first motorcycle and my options are zx6rr and cbr650r and cbr600rr and mt07 and duke 790 and z900 I heard it has smooth power and rs660 and street triple rs and cb650r and gxsr 750 which could I get as my first motorcycle thank you for any responses
Japan bikes have superior quality no doubt but does it justify the prices they're charging nowadays? Seeing the CFMoto lineup I'd say no I'd rather get a 450 for 2-3k less than any Japanese model. (a KLX 300 is $1500-2k more)
It's about quality control. Everyone keeps saying "your phone is made in China" yeah but it's made in a factory that has quality control standards set by Apple (or whichever brand you prefer). CF Moto look like they are making some fantastic bikes but the big unknown for me is the quality control and reliability. I want to be sure that the 2-wheeled death-machine that I ride isn't out to kill me because of a manufacturing fault. Similarly, I want to be sure that I can get parts if something goes wrong. These bikes are very tempting because of the value for money but I still have some doubts/questions.
@@The.JZA. then go look at the bike. I have. They are good. They run good, they have co-op deals with KTM and Yamaha. They have made Kawasaki 650s engines for years. If you don't want to like them that is ok, but they are good bikes.
@@carlosvejar3938 I’m not saying they’re bad, not at all. I’m just saying it’s unknown. Even in the video he said he doesn’t know what the long term reliability will be like because he hasn’t owned it long term and until people do, we won’t know. Even the software is unknown. There aren’t any CF Moto dealers anywhere near me whereas there’s a Yamaha dealer literally 100m from my work. It’s tempting to get the 800NK because of the value but makes more sense to get a Yamaha since they are generally reliable, easy to get parts and dealers are everywhere. Just my 2 cents.
@@The.JZA. in Vegas we started with 3 dealerships for the side by sides and that stuff. Year and a half ago 1 dealer started carrying the motorcycles, 6 months ago all 3 of the side by side dealers are now carrying the motorcycles as well. I totally agree with you if you don't have a dealer close by don't get the vehicle. I would say that about Honda. I feel comfortable with getting one because I am 20 minutes away from my choice of 3 dealerships. not like Triumph where we have 1 dealer so a f.. valve adjustment runs $1300. Get what works for you. CF Moto works in Vegas.
So I'm not Greg, But I'm 50 and just started riding myself on a GXS 8S. My bike has a little less HP but is a torque monster. The answer is almost always "Maybe". I have many years of riding Mountain Bikes (bicycles) at pretty high speeds at downhill parks, PLUS I've almost always have had manual transmission cars, some of which were performance cars. At 35, you might have the discipline to control yourself with the throttle, but if you don't quite understand or are not comfortable with manual shifting and separate brake controls, a 99HP bike like the NK can get you hurt or killed quickly.
if you ride easy going, take a look at the 450NK or the Z400 instead. both have easily enough power and the 450NK has rider aids like slipper clutch, ABS, traction control, riding modes, and a modern TFT. Z400 is also a great beginner bike, but afaik it doesn't have TC, riding modes, and a TFT. i'd say check out both.
No! Yes, many start out with much bigger bikes. For most it doesn't go well. Be true to yourself on this one. Again, I think no. Been there, done that.
If you keep it in the rain mode then it would be very gentle and approachable, and you still have the sound, I started riding it with next to zero experience, but in sport it’s pretty jerky for a beginner for sure, and don’t forget it doesn’t have tc) but it’s less scary then Duke 790)
Looked on cfmoto lineup, 700 clx - Kawasaki based, 800 nk - coop with KTM. Why would company jump from one AAA moto manufacturer to another, what reliability can it have? Also question about long term support and spare parts availability. From what I see, it looks good, but looking on other vehicles from china, its spare parts, inner components won’t last long. I saw a car just arrived from manufacturer all wrapped and with failed wheel bearing.
It's your hard earned money, Spend it where you get what you want at the value you are willing to accept. Don't let politics inform your finances. Politicians DON"T CARE ABOUT YOU and a majority of them are already in bed with the Chinese among other nations.
Why they didn't put traction control on this thing like on on the SR450 is beyond me. No traction control in this day and age of ever degrading roads is just a deal-breaker. Otherwise it would've been a seriously cool package.
CFMoto is a Chinese brand I believe, but some of the stuff coming out from China is top quality. DJI action cameras is a clear example. It may not match the technology of the Japanese or elite brands, but as a mid tier buy, it's definitely worth a look.
I disagree partly. If they want and need to, they can reach the same quality standards than other countries. They just find it better to slightly undercut other offers, but that's not representative of their capabilities. It's just a financial choice.
@@lucascarracedo7421 for motorcycles especially right now the mid to low price range is where the majority of the market is it makes sense to have a brand cater to that you even see expensive European brands starting to cater to a lower budget. This isn't a country wide decision or anything it's just where CF moto has put their focus on. There are other companies in other areas that choose differently but often times when breaking into foreign markets it's usually easier to focus on being a budget option rather than a top end one
IBEX/CFMOTO 800MT and CFMOTO 800NK, the same engine Check at 15000km (Europe values) , change oil, filter and air filter At 30,000 km, check valves and change spark plugs Simple as KTM😂
More bikes should have cruise control. They already have most the stuff needed - ride by wire throttles, ECUs etc, just need a button and couple of wires. Aprilia even sell it as a £200 option, so it clearly doesn't cost much as they make profit in that. I know lots of the middle aged blokes that need to try and prove their masculinity won't want it but, guess what, you don't have to use it so let the rest of us have a choice.
Looks like a mixture of bikes pieced together 😂 Example Tail light kawasaki The front air scoop bit looks like yamaha mt line, Tft looks a bit shaped like bmws and the display interface looks similar also, switch gear looks a bit yamaha mt, mirrors look a bit triumph like mainly the arms the lense section is a bit more pointy than triumph
Its looks close to like Suzuki Gsx 8s with cruise control but is chinese ... so there is a question of reliability , and strenght of lights at night. Between those 2 CF moto looks way better for me ....
I doubt there's going to be a problem with reliability. If they want to, Chinese companies can get to the same standards than any other company. If they really wanted to, they could surpass them probably. I mean, what is reliability anyway these days? Big Japanese companies are mostly OK, European companies are an absolute disaster. Yet nobody is constantly complaining of BMW or others which SOMETIMES sell you a half finished unit that takes ages to get right. Also, lights at night will be as good as any other good brands.
@@donderstorm1845 yeah. The thing good Chinese companies are lacking to properly establish themselves is mostly good widespread support. It takes time because you need a consistent user base first. So it's a chicken or egg situation. But they will get there.
@@lucascarracedo7421agreed. For engine parts at least, you could probably use KTM 790 parts since I'm pretty sure that's what this engine is, since CFmoto built engines for KTM 790.
still too early in the game to get anything by cf moto. they're only beating out the japanese bikes in the segment by about $500-1000 and yea on paper the numbers may be higher on the cf moto but what does it matter if the reliability potentially isn't there? nice looking bikes for sure, a lot shiny tech but ill stick with yamaha, kawasaki, suzuki and honda as of now. love the competition cfmoto is bringing to the market though
Idt I’d ever buy a CFMoto tbh. Plenty of great Japanese brands in the same cc’s for $7-10k, would much rather spend my money there and get dealer and parts support when needed.
most high end bikes will feature cruise control, it's especially useful in America where there are large, open stretches of straight road, but it's useful in a lot of circumstances where you're wanting a fixed speed, which yields the benefit of comfort while also being able to focus more on your surroundings--it disables under braking anyway so it's not like your bike is going to run away from you.
Ya too bad you can't turn off the garbage reaction control. It was my top 3 for my new bike until I learned that. Will never consider until they remove that garbage.

Hey I’m looking for my first motorcycle and my options are zx6rr and cbr650r and cbr600rr and mt07 and duke 790 and z900 I heard it has smooth power and rs660 and street triple rs and cb650r and gxsr 750 which could I get as my first motorcycle thank you for any responses
under 700
Japan bikes have superior quality no doubt but does it justify the prices they're charging nowadays? Seeing the CFMoto lineup I'd say no I'd rather get a 450 for 2-3k less than any Japanese model. (a KLX 300 is $1500-2k more)
2024 nk 800 first service was $289.
USD?
@@Teamteddygaming yes sir.
I like how everyone keep questioning bikes made by a country that has the only space station other than the ISS flying above our head.
They complain about China on their phone that is made in China.
Would you suggest this bike as a first bike for an "easy going" 35 years old guy?
I saw a car just arrived from manufacturer all wrapped and with failed wheel bearing.
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
I thought the 800nk did have a quick shifter. Are you sure it does't?
Looks like the US market NK doesn't come with a quick shifter, what's with that?
advanced version got quick shifter and its keyless too..
Like it’s like, like it’s like?
Cf moto is coming on strong. Just struggling to buy something Chinese
It's your hard earned money, Spend it where you get what you want at the value you are willing to accept. Don't let politics inform your finances. Politicians DON"T CARE ABOUT YOU and a majority of them are already in bed with the Chinese among other nations.
How is this compared to z1000?
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
Why they didn't put traction control on this thing like on on the SR450 is beyond me. No traction control in this day and age of ever degrading roads is just a deal-breaker. Otherwise it would've been a seriously cool package.
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
CFMoto is a Chinese brand I believe, but some of the stuff coming out from China is top quality. DJI action cameras is a clear example. It may not match the technology of the Japanese or elite brands, but as a mid tier buy, it's definitely worth a look.
TCL as well
I disagree partly.
China specials ?
IBEX/CFMOTO 800MT and CFMOTO 800NK, the same engine
Check at 15000km (Europe values) , change oil, filter and air filter
At 30,000 km, check valves and change spark plugs
Simple as KTM😂
I thought cf moto was just another underpowered Chinese bike....guess I was wrong
the top spec have a tablet for a dash....
More bikes should have cruise control. They already have most the stuff needed - ride by wire throttles, ECUs etc, just need a button and couple of wires. Aprilia even sell it as a £200 option, so it clearly doesn't cost much as they make profit in that. I know lots of the middle aged blokes that need to try and prove their masculinity won't want it but, guess what, you don't have to use it so let the rest of us have a choice.
agree! Cruise control is awesome
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
Looks like a mixture of bikes pieced together 😂
Example
Tail light kawasaki
The front air scoop bit looks like yamaha mt line,
Tft looks a bit shaped like bmws and the display interface looks similar also, switch gear looks a bit yamaha mt, mirrors look a bit triumph like mainly the arms the lense section is a bit more pointy than triumph
So there is a version that doesn't have the giant tablet screen
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
Also, lights at night will be as good as any other good brands.
i think cfmoto wants to set itself apart as a reliable brand. seems like they're doing fine so far.
Today you never know ware anything is built, even Ktm some modals are not built in Austria.
The money I would save would could buy me a once of candy and I would truly be a happy man... go for a nice little ride on Saturday night ...oh ya....

The dash takes way too long to load
It just lacks the hp its twin the duke has more witch makes no since

If you want a KTM790, buy a CF Moto.
why? I just bought a ktm 790 duke. It is better 800nk? I ask because I didn't rode 800nk.
There's another version of the nk800 it has a f*cking ipad for a screen
still too early in the game to get anything by cf moto. they're only beating out the japanese bikes in the segment by about $500-1000 and yea on paper the numbers may be higher on the cf moto but what does it matter if the reliability potentially isn't there? nice looking bikes for sure, a lot shiny tech but ill stick with yamaha, kawasaki, suzuki and honda as of now. love the competition cfmoto is bringing to the market though
ill stick with my Austrian made KTM models.
ok

I "hate" that KTM sound....
The ninja 400 for $5.3k is a great bike for the price
Idt I’d ever buy a CFMoto tbh. Plenty of great Japanese brands in the same cc’s for $7-10k, would much rather spend my money there and get dealer and parts support when needed.
Have u seen what happens to these cf moto bikes in the event of a crash!? The first time I saw one go down. The build quality is horrendous.

Cruise control on a bike 🤪 😜 sounds dangerous to me. 😳 😬 only in America
It's not dangerous
What's dangerous is commenting on something you have no experience .
most high end bikes will feature cruise control, it's especially useful in America where there are large, open stretches of straight road, but it's useful in a lot of circumstances where you're wanting a fixed speed, which yields the benefit of comfort while also being able to focus more on your surroundings--it disables under braking anyway so it's not like your bike is going to run away from you.
@@joelbrittenour8197 He said how it "sounds" to him, he is already acknowledging he doesn't trully know, what is the danger about that?
The first bike with cruise control was the Honda VFR, exclusive originally to Japanese markets.
Ya too bad you can't turn off the garbage reaction control. It was my top 3 for my new bike until I learned that. Will never consider until they remove that garbage.
