    Thanks so much for the help 🫶. I have a question, how do you make and horse canter/gallop round the barrel? I’m having trouble with my horse since he slows right down to a walk when he gets to the barrel.. I really hope you could help me with this

    I have been having trouble with my gelding and this just makes sense. Thanks for the tip. I am absolutely part of the problem. I over ride him. Thankfully he is very patient with me. I usually ride/break green horses and now that I have him patterned and reining nice I have a hard time riding him properly. Thanks again

    I love your videos and your tips are very helpful. I’m beginning barrels and speed events in general and I hope to prove people wrong as they say that my horse can’t barrel race because of his breed, he’s an Arabian halflinger cross

    Well alrighty then. I have some homework to do. Leg length, hand position, I think I may have an ok seat but going to check myself on that. And then have hubby work the lunge line for me so I can practice flying to work on balance. Thank uou thank you so much

    Hi! You should include leg cues…

  • @pagero1970
    @pagero1970 2 роки тому

    When you refer to riding the back end of your horse - what do you mean exactly? I understand posture straight line from shoulder to ankle strong seat and core etc., are you saying don’t lean forward and give only reining cues? Suggesting that I sit straight and use leg cues with deep seat square hips/shoulders ? Thanks

    I know this is a older video, but do you know what to do with a horse who is almost pushing you out and all your weight goes into the outside stirrup, and no matter how much I try and keep myself centered I don't have the balance to pull her and myself back up, ay tip? Thank you 😭

    • @amandak4258
      @amandak4258 2 роки тому

      Maybe practice sitting in your saddle straight and on strengthening your core. Your core is the center of your balance 🤗

    • @amandak4258
      @amandak4258 2 роки тому

      And try leaning the other way when you go around and when you start to fall, until it becomes habit to sit that way😁

    Is a dropping shoulder the reason my horse never wants to take the straight way after a barrel he wants to continue around his circle and you have to pull him out of the circle to force him to straighten himself out.

    • @barrelracingtraininghelp
      @barrelracingtraininghelp  3 роки тому

      It could be, I would have to see a video to know but the horse could also just be over finishing the barrel which isn't a bad thing all it means is you have to grab 2 handed faster and guide the horse to the next position:)
