This is the first video in the series of tutorials dedicated to Loopmix. It is a very nice new app from Audiomodern that allows you to create infinite combinations of loops with effects applied to entire loops or part of them.
This video contains the following product demonstration:
- Introduction to the UI
- How to play presets
- How to choose presets and samples
- How to initialise a preset
- How to change the tempo
- Introduction to triggering Loopmix via navigation controls or midi keyboard
- Introduction to lanes
- How to change the mixer settings
- Etc.

The best demo, Leo! Well done. Loopmix looks like Playbeat 3 - much of the functionality and UI layout is the same. Where Playbeat 3 has 8 tracks and 1 sample per track, Loopmix has 6 tracks and allows the chopping and arranging of the samples. Otherwise both apps are almost identical. I’m sure I’m not the first to say that. 😅

I am still a bit hesitant due to some flaws and missing features which slow down the workflow. Let's hope the devs will iron that out. Otherwise, an exciting app that is certainly a lot of fun. Thanks for this tutorial and your constant flow of educational work!

Does anyone out there have any idea how I can record loopmix audio into cubasis3 ? Been trying to figure this out for over 6 hours already. Any help would be nice.
you have to export and them manually import… sorry… it works better on desktop
I use Riffer + Playbeat a fair amount.. it’s good to see that this already looks familiar to my eyes.. I could see a lot of experimenting going on here.. mild to crazy.. This plugin is extremely confusing to use. it keeps generating sound at random, unwanted times and it's completely ignoring all midi files that I exported from it and dropped into ableton. I only want sound to play specifically where the actual midi file is at in my project. Does anyone know how to fix this?
