So I should set a scheduled time frame for my "procrastinate and watch YT videos on productivity" into my time management schedule :-) Done!
DCARA06 LOL!
You're awesome Kathryn! I discovered your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching your videos ever since. I appreciate your positivity and your enthusiasm, plus your ideas are so inspiring! Thank you 😘
Bet you're a great teacher. Lovve your channel.
I just found your channel and I LOVE it!!!
Simple IS better!! Not that I'm biased or anything..... ;)
Annie's Simple Life Ha! Yay simplicity!
Great video! I have been using the tip regarding managing by time not task and that has been working wonders for me. You are so right about sacrificing something when you chose to complete something. I was just telling a friend the other day that UA-cam is making my house messy. So glad to see that I am not the only one :) BTW I sent you an email a few days ago....don't know what the best medium to use to contact you.
Veri Keri LOL...especially with crafty projects. I got it! :)
lol my problem is that i have day where i go crazy cleaning then go couch potato the next day.
Consistency is key. It's better to have a part of the day or week set aside for cleaning or other things so it will get done on a regular basis.
Same here and hate it😡
@@zaidiali362 Maybe you could take into consideration your hating it: sometimes it helps me to consider how I would feel if I do something and how I would feel if I don't. Sometimes I'm tired or annoyed but I get on with what I need to do anyway because I know I will be satisfied and proud if I do and frustrated and disappointed if I don't.
@@Grazikon So True but the hard part for me is getting to it. Once I am up and started within a few min
I am ready and energized to do whatever it is. Getting there is a big problem for me.
@@zaidiali362 That's exactly why to consider the likely consequences of your action on your emotional state before even getting to it. If you've even once made a somewhat similar action in your life, you can still be lying in bed to imagine realistically in a least a bit of detail how you would react if you do something. And then do the action if you would feel pride. You might feel a bit of exhaustion as well maybe, but I feel motivation through pride is a good way to get things done.
In any case, unless you're incapacitated or dead, a dday is always there to be filled with actions of some kind or another. They might as well be actions that get you further towards your goals and into a better state of mind and make the world a better place.
Subscribed! you are so sweet and love how real you are! It is definitely overwhelming to try and get everything done, as you mentioned it is okay not to be perfect. Thank you :)
thanks so much
how's that supposed to work with me if i study 24/7 and i rarely sleep :(
we study everything! 3 languages, physics, chemistry, Biology and Geology!
each teacher gives tons of homework!
and when i say tons i mean it 😢
Hang in there.
Heidi Genedy 3 languages? Im jealous
Separate lists with limits - spot on. Thanks for the tips.
Totally agree 100%. And how about that pumpkin washi tape?
LOVE all of your tips. Fabulous video as always. I had such a fun time doing this with you and I loved that we got to see your little one at the end. :)
HayleysWIFESTYLE Thanks, Hayley! Ditto! Time-management geeks unite!!!
O my God!you are so inspiring, motivating, energetic and most important down to earth person.....I am gr8 fan of u and Alejandra Costello.....God bless u ...
Great tips there thanks and ps thanks for showing your messy room some times I do feel inadequate when I watch woman on you tube and think why doesn't my house stay so clean I am a very clean and tidy person and I get so frustrated when the cats kids mess it up again !,but I have to remind myself that's just normal life with kids I guess!
Good advises. Time management is a hard thing to do somehow. Thanks for sharing great tips
Yes the to do list is better than my calendar and that keeps it simple and stress free! Tfs!
Great advice! I'm really loving your videos! I'm going to try to limit to-dos to 7 items, but that can be hard when you're a mom, as I'm sure you know!
This is you BEST video yet....each point was right on....and so well explained....I'd already heard some of your tips...and the ones I hadn't really really helped me....THANKS SO MUCH....xoxo Wanda :D
Time not task! That makes so much sense to me and I'll definitely be using that to help me get through the day. Thanks for sacrificing the mess to film! 👍🏼
I have been Lost in a maze because of a family situation.. Gaaaaah..
The 7 things a day will really help me.. Trying so hard to KONDO my home. and have become overwhelmed with the derailing due to a family trauma.. Too much going on at one time..Very helpful tip.. Just needing to get that Zoom zoom going.. I can do This!
You're one of the best. Been subbed to you for almost 2 years. You always (ALWAYS!) give practical information.
Once I became a mom, I couldn't have handled teaching again also. You are terrific. Thanks for putting us on your to do list. Great ideas for all stages of life because we all want to be productive.
Tan práctica e instructiva como acostumbras. Me encanta verte y escucharte!! Mil gracias. Aprendiendo cada día a gestionar tiempo y tareas.....algo difícil, aunque no imposible jeje.
Great tips! My husband was listening in as I watched this. "Amen! Preach it!" He said when you said "keep the list to 7 things." I'm a crazy list maker! :)
Great tips! Your son is adorable :-)
You are so so good at this! You are wise and warm, precise and to-the-point. Love these videos.
Omg thanks for these tips n for being transparent w ur messy room. Lol. This is a major eye opener for me. Striving for perfection in every area has left me stressed. Now I have to learn to perfect 1 thing a day;)
I've been a subscriber for a while now. I like your ideas! But a person like me that can't see a mess will always be so overwhelmed! I wish I can sit down while toys are everywhere! I go crazy!!
Great ideas!!!!! Manage your time NOT your task.....what a concept.....and I actually think I can do it, YAY!!!!! Thanks for including your mess in the video.....it really brought the point of your comments to the forefront and helped "some" of us (me) grasp the concept. LOL
1. Smarter not harder
2. Set lists increase productivity
3. Categorise lists
4. 7 To-Dos
5. Don't 100% book yourself
6. Time not task
7. Worst first!
8. Train yourself to be productive
9. Let it go like Elsa
10. Keep it simple
Thanks xxx
This was so helpful hearing it from someone who applies it to there day to day life. I tell my self these tips all the time but haven't been able to apply them. I had to watch it twice.... Thanks again!
Great point about scheduling yourself by time - not task! Working from a calendar and blocks of time instead of a to-do list is a great way to make tasks more manageable
Half way into the video, this was like a revelation with great advice, tricks and techniques for keeping organized. Clear, practical, insightful, relatable, and above all, captivating!!! Excuse me while I share and forward!!!
I'm a new watcher. And all I can say is tht u deserve more subs. You get right to the point, and ur actually helpfully. Unlike beauty gurus-yes I'm a middle schooler- they try to glitz up their videos with useless shots of themselves. Same problem with Alejandra, her videos really drag along with like 10min each video. I find myself bindge watching u, and all have helped me in a way. Keep doin what ur doin, ur work will be rewarded
1st: love that a time saving video is only 3 minutes and 56 seconds long! Thanks for that! Clearly you know what you are talking about. You'd be amazed at how many "time saver" videos are like 47 minutes - no way. I don't have that kind of time... nice work.
Thank you first for your channel! I have learned more from you than I can tell you!! My family loves all of the great tips and tricks I share from you!! I went over to Haleywifelife channel and as promised you were right again! Thank you!! I subscribed - I am new to UA-cam so I am excited to start adding to my list. BTW I have 2 children - she is amazing her baby is sleeping thru the night!! Time Management - I am so long over due on that lesson. Thank you again.
I love this statement for #10 - "Keep It Sunny Simple" A friend of my came up with it because she didn't want to use the word stupid or silly. I like it because it makes me smile every time I say - and makes me think of rainbows. Don't know why, it just does.
In the navy we called is kiss: keep it simple stupid-lol not the nicest thing to say but I gets the point across
Pink Turtle Images LOVE that!
It is a concept often used in business too, but maybe for Kathryn's audience we could change it to Keep It Simple, Sweetie ;)
Love your videos......I use to think of perfection until I realized that it was driving crazy...thanks for keeping it real....
Fantastic tips! Love your UA-cam channel! You've helped me so much with organizing my life and saving money. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for showing that quick clip of your messy livingroom.... Lol I have a hard time getting other things done when my house is a mess. I always feel like I need to clean the mess FIRST and because it's my least favourite thing to do, I avoid it..... which in turn makes me avoid everything else that has to get done after it! :( Love your videos!
Love your videos, they are inspirational, fun and so informative. I've recently subscribed and have started adopting your tips for home organization. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming :)
Love these tips! I had heard that you shouldn't have more than three to five things on your to-do list per day. Sounds like the same concept, just a different number. lol I checked out Hayley's channel 'cause you told me to! :D Her videos are pretty cool, too. You're still my favorite, though. ;)
I went to find a UA-cam video about being productive and you came up! I should’ve known my all-time-favorite UA-camr would have a video about this 😂👌🏼
You are truly amazing! Just learned - in this video - that on top of being a great mom to 2 very young boys, a popular youtuber, a wife. a professional organizer, you also have a very demanding job! I am speechless! DO you ever sleep?!
Hi Katherine, I love watching your videos; you have a lot to offer and these 10 tips are great and I want to follow them. Thanks for taking the time to share with us what you know. I visited Hayleyswifestyle channel and I subscribed to her also. She is also awesome! Thank you!
So realistic. So practical. Makes sense. Thank you for the awesome message in the video. Hugs all the way from Chicago.
Great tips great video and great personality thanx a lot for your help
Thanks Kathryn -your tips and advice have really changed the work habits of young women in Austria. It has helped our Work Studies planning. We now know to clean the loo before dinner prepping.
Great tips! Especially about keeping it simple and NOT striving for perfection!!!
Excellent tips! I really like the timer method so you don't get so involved in the task that you lose track of time and not accomplish other priorities on the list or end up being late for an appointment. Also, breaking a task down into a segment of time seems less intimidating and very doable, especially when certain tasks are huge and overwhelming. (like my garage - hahaha) Love these helpful hints videos! Thanks for sharing your insights!
WoW! Que grande y bello está el nene... Gracias por las ideas y también por mostrar el reguero, a veces pensamos que sus casas siempre están perfectas. Eso es Real Life.
Awesome. I get so inspired by your video's. I was wondering if you had any good tips for pet messes (sp). We have an older Boston and I would really like something that is maybe homemade or any good suggestions you might have.
I love all your videos ,you're so fun ,you make me happy every time.thanks.
I love applying "7" or "3" to all plans : ) Hardest first and use a timer - these are great tips K. Listen to her folks ! We need order in our planning : ) There is always hope for a better to do list people. Keep trying to make it more simple and you will see improvements. The best tip I can offer is pray to God and ask Him to help you with a vision and priorities. He will help us.
Great video....very easy to follow! You can’t manage time. It’s that simple. There is no such thing as managing time. Time is a limited resource.
What you can do is find out where you are allowing time suckers and wasters to use up this limited resource in an unproductive manner.
This is more self-management than time-management. I bet right now you can write down at least five activities that you do each day that are unproductive and can be classed as Time Wasters.
I love to organize, however there never seems to be enough time. I usually end up lost in the details and feeling like a failure with a half finished task. I'm excited to try the "by time, not task" alternative! Thanks and God Bless!
These time management tips are awesome! Thank you SO much! Seriously. Thank. You!
oh thank you!!! You saved me. I was feeling so insane and then you came to my rescue. I definitely need to apply the time frame to each task! Makes sense. I tend to do whatever I want during certain task and dont stay focused. Putting a time frame will hopefully allow me to become more disciplined. Thank u so much.
Thanks for the video, I started a new job and I'm so overwelmed with my old duties... I will try to implement all your tips, they sound really helpfull. I bet you are a great teacher!
I like the part on categorizing the things to do into three main lists and not blending them together. This helps immensely with prioritizing. Separate lists!!! That is fabulous. I used to have one list I put everything on. Now I got five. You are inspiring!
Awesome tips! Very encouraging and informative. Thank you for sharing and giving such tips. Blessings to you and your family.
I really liked this video. I need many more tips for working smarter, not harder. I am having a hard time juggling being a new teacher and a wife/housekeeper.
Love your haircut! I like the idea of 7 things!
Love your videos, this is particularly good, thank you so much, so many simple but significant tips, Jx
I laughed when u showed the mess it's real life hunny txs
I have subscribe for the first time!I love all your videos ,I have learn so many thing from you.thank you!the tip with time no task is great!!!

Have you tips for Muslims? I am a Muslim Alhamdulillah, so I must perform Namaz 5 times a day and go to Mosque every friday.
Hmm doing the thing you hate first, am sure I've read that in a book "The ONE Thing" by Gary Keller
I gotta say it ... I looooooove you right now!!! I really needed help understanding how to manage my time and to do list. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us.
Thanks again. It's so easy to understand.
Terri
I just stumbled across your channel. I'm a teacher too and decided to organize our apartment over the summer. You're videos are super, super helpful!
I try very hard to live by, what I call, "The KISS" rule... Keep it simple stupid....I say that to myself a lot because I tend to make tasks much more difficult than what they are...
gizofmoe Haha, love that!
Totally agree with training your self to be productive!!! Thanks for posting :)
You're awesome! Always great tips delivered super fast. Love your enthusiasm.
Can I just say, thank you for showing your sacrifice. It was really encouraging. I get overwhelmed a lot with the things i can't get done
OMG I just love your Video's. You help me to see how things really are! Thankyou.

DoItOnaDime Finding you has definatley blessed me. I start today. I downloaded an organzing app and I have 3 things on it that I really want to do today. Wish we had dollar tree in Sydney Australia :(
I need a hug! I feel like I always over schedule myself and fail miserably because it's impossible to do it all. I am in the "I give up" phase. I will try these tips when I get my act together again!
As I added a new hat/project to my load today, I was trying to figure out how to manage my time...perfect timing! ;)
your advice is always so doable and practical. I am always so happy to see a video from you pop up. Also Carson is getting even cuter if that is at all possible.
I love the content of this video but I have a hard time chewing it down because you are talking so fast! haha Thank you anyway for these videos. :)
Thanks soooooo much this I'd really helpful, especially showing ur messy room! I feel more normal now!
Like my English teacher would always say "kis it" keep. It. Simple. Lol
I usually write down things that have to get done that day. Then I make my longer list of other things that need to be done as well but do the most important ones first. I've thought about giving myself a certain amount of time to do things like you talked about but then I feel like nothing gets done because I do one thing for a certain amount of time and its not done but time is up and it is time to go to the next thing so nothing gets completely done. So this is my issue with setting time limits. I hope I have explained this well enough so that you understand my predicament. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks for this! Most helpful tip for me was allocating a set amount of time to do something and then move on. I think that will make me more productive. thanks x
Kathryn since you had Owen are you still teaching or are you a stay at home mom now? With you having a teaching background do you have tips on children that shutdown my son is 15 and there are certain classes that he gets overwhelmed in that he shuts down. He also told me last night that the algebra class he is in gives him a headache.
lovely video! very helpful and not talking down to people. perfection doesn't exist. :)
Great video a lot of help for me busy mom of 6,4, and 8 months not to mention i work from home!!!!! Lol. Need to manage my time.
My frog is what to cook every day , my kids and husband never agree I end up every time with make to much food and left over , plus they are not open to try something different
