This is the perfect example of a corporation listening to the customers ideas and actually creating an outstanding product. Great job 🎉 I personally believe this is the best product Work Sharp has developed.
As a 71 year old I have been sharpening knives for many years and using many methods. I have to say that this is by a wide margin the very best sharpening method that I have tried. Thank you!
I'd say he's addressed every known issue from the original PA. That said, give this thing a little time in the wild & I'm sure people will find some new things that we haven't even thought of yet LOL. It's the nature of things. I'll probably pick one of these up later this summer. There are a few knives I think I'd rather sharpen manually with this than on my Ken Onion. Thinking about that now...
@@WorkSharpOutdoor next feature you should add is a whetstone holder that clamps our own stones. We can get away with using water stones with this thing. It's not like it's going to rust.
I am fortunate enough to work at a place that recovered the sharper before release/launch. The pro has taken over as the sharpening system all employees use. I can really find anything as of yet that I would change. I really like the forethought of additional accessories you may be able to add on Well done.
It's an awesome setup. There will be a huge market for finer grit 1200, 2000. Make some with lapping films or just sell blank plates so people can DIY.
Nailed it on the head with the improvements on the Pro. I'm sure there's one already in the works, but I would love to see a carrying case for this rather much like what became available later on for the first Precision Adjust. At this price point I would have liked to of seen it included with the Pro to begin with, but overall very happy with it.
Jack nailed it with the PA Pro! I own every WS sharpener, and I have created cool hacks. Now they are obsolete. TY The price dropped $50 at retailers the day I received my PA Pro. 😮
I purchased one of these recently and it works quite well. the only criticism I have is that the blade clamp is limited as far as how far a blade can go into it and how far it opens. this is only an issue with large thick knives. but I have quite a few of those.
I bought this to do my fillet knifes after receiving it it 2 days ago I find it won’t work for fillet knifes will you come up with a way to do thin long fillet knifes?
We need a stone holder that accepts different types of stones and abrasives from all the quality stone makers. And would also be nice with a 1200-1500 diamond plate, if you got the capability to make higher grit diamond plates. If not, that's just why a stone holder is so important. Especially now that this is marketed and labeled as a Professional sharpener, and competes with other brands that do accept other stones/plates as well as their own.
The issue is there is already someone making these stone holders for the PA Pro. That’s why worksharp should have already had this made. You know from the last model this was going to be requested and made by someone.
@@WorkSharpOutdoor if you guys nail implementing a stone holder with the next model or simply an adapter for this one, I'll buy it immediately. I know stones are heavy relative to a small diamond plate so this holder will have to be heavy duty and cost more and it won't matter because I'll still throw my money at you.
Good job on the design and building of this system! I'm still trying to get one of my own.(Not in stock- X3) I was kind of surprised it didn't come in a storage case right from the start, but that won't prevent me from buying one.
Nice video guys and good insight into this new product. I'd love to give you some feedback, but I don't have my Pro Precision Adjust yet! After I receive and use it. I'll share my feedback with you. But all in all, it looks like a really good product. Nice job!😎
I still have some understanding of the method for measuring angles on the other side of the straight edge (15-30 degrees). According to calculations, the angle to be sharpened will be α, and we have the formula sin α = the distance from the vertical axis to the blade edge. If the widths of the blades are the same, then the angle measuring tool can be accurate. However, with a utility knife, the width of the blade differs from the blade used for cutting or peeling fruits. So how do people solve this problem? To address this issue, people use specialized tools or techniques. One common approach is to use an adjustable angle guide or honing guide that allows for precise angle adjustments. These guides typically have a mechanism to hold the blade securely at the desired angle while sharpening. Another method is to use sharpening jigs or fixtures specifically designed for different types of blades. These jigs hold the blade in a fixed position and ensure consistent sharpening angles. Additionally, experienced users may develop their own techniques and methods based on their expertise. They might rely on visual cues, such as the alignment of the blade with certain reference points or using specialized honing stones with predefined angles. In summary, the problem of different blade widths in various cutting tools is addressed by using adjustable angle guides, sharpening jigs, or personal techniques developed by experienced individuals. These approaches help maintain consistent and accurate sharpening angles regardless of the blade width.
I have not used mine since i have got it.. But the One thing I noted when looking at the box today was.. is there going to be an accessory holding case made for it along the lines of the case for the Upgrade of the Precision Adjust was on the older model?
Id really like to hear about the materials. Line what are the base, chassis and the pivot “spar” that connects the jaws to the chassis are made of? And the slide in stabiliser under the clamp? Thsnkd.
Are you going to come out with a nice carry and storage case for this? I like the case for the precision Adjust.... can you come up with a convenient (and inexpensive!) case for the Precision Adjust? I just got mine and love it! Great system!!
I just bought the original last week and any issue I’ve had was addressed with the new one. That being said, I wish I would have just gotten the newer one. Work sharp 1 vs my timing 0.
This! I am waiting and waiting, bothering local distributor time after time. C'mon guys, send some boxes to Europe! Or else... we will kidnap Jake! Ha!
1,200 abrasive plate. Ceep up the amazing work and stay sharp.
Thanks for a wonderful design!!!!

I have one for three weeks now and I just got the Ken Onion sharpener with Blade grinding attachment. It is great to have both. I love them..

Agree and agree
Thank you, buying mine in a couple weeks. Have several worksharp products already

Please 120, 1200, 2000 abrasive plates upgrade kit 🙏. Otherwise the system is excellent. Thank you!
I love this sharpener but… I too was so disappointed that there wasn’t a 1200 grit plate. Please consider adding one! Thanks
Great. Now I need it. Just got the upgrade kit for the original precision adjust and it's amazing!
What you have is really fantastic. Save your money for another nice knife. 😉

Would like to see a 100 grit stone or in the ball park to speed up reprofiling

Great feedback and something we keep hearing. Can't promise anything yet but we are keeping track of this request.

Will the precision adjust 3-way stone holder fit on the precision adjust pro rod for the small knives ?
Asking for a friend...lol.😊
What kind of batteries go in the angle 📐 finder? Thanks

Waiting for mine now. Cant wait to start using it.
When the angle finder coming out for the regular one?
No set date yet. Right now all parts are going towards meeting demand.
My Dalstrong knives come from the factory with an 8 to 12 degree bevel, but I see this only goes down to 15 degrees. Suggestions? Thoughts?
When do pre orders ship on the knife center for the pro pa?
Some orders will start shipping 6/1 but you will need to contact Knife Center for specifics.
