I tend to want to get the basics of a song down before I start on the details, and this version is a bit more practical from that standpoint. Thanks for posting this Ryan! Great as usual.
Wow awesome stuff Ryan! I really like the G -> better man chord -> F business. I can pretty much play this song from start to end now (who would have thought) --> Thanks so much!
Sweet, been waiting for a campfire for a while now. I would love to know Stone’s/PJ’s thoughts on these campfire versions, not in an approve/disapprove way, but more of oh I like what you did there or I like to do this move here type thing. If you get any communication it would be interesting to know. Either way, I’m pretty impressed. But thanks to the work of Ms. Poopadoop its starting to be a little less magic and looking more like a jigsaw puzzle.
well said Kevin - a jigsaw puzzle! that's exactly what it is. Miss poopadoop is very happy to hear this. I haven't talked to Stone in a while... I also haven't talked to my dad in a while, I read nothing into either of those things.
Ryan whats your favorite Pearl Jam song from each album? Porch, Rearviewmirrow, Corduroy, Off He Goes, Wishlist, Sleight of Hand, Can't Keep, Parachutes, Unthought Known, Sirens, are mine.
more campfire editions, or more editions of in hiding? Surely there's endless campfire editions! I think I'd just have ukulele left on in hiding hehe. Elizabeth says "shux" :)
This is still flipping brilliant! Time to dive in. So you have 3 (or more) versions of In Hiding, what one do you find yourself unconsciously gravitating to? This one appears to be similar to Faithfull for me, I prefer to play your standard version over the G version - or maybe I’m just too lazy to change tunings. Ok maybe it’s not a fair comparison but either way I’m looking for to drowning out all this war shit with some damn good PJ songs! Thanks my friend.
You know... up there :) there are only three levels of my favorite bands: 1)pearl jam 2)the two dozen that are tied for second - usually marked by me knowing at least one band member's name (I know two in AIC so I guess they go here) and 3) the 5 dozen that are tied for third :) I like heaven beside you the best. I bet Jerry pooped when he came up with that riff, it's just so neat. What about you Shawn?
Ryan Lendt I remember when I first heard the dirt album from start to finish my jaw dropped....I was waiting for a bad song or a ‘filler song’ as they call it and there wasn’t one. That album truly is a masterpiece. I just don’t know if we will hear another singer like Layne Staley. Mad Season is a severely underrated band it’s almost criminal. Alice is definitely my favorite then Pearl Jam/Mother Love Bone for 2nd. I wouldn’t consider Alice ‘grunge’ as they call it. You truly appreciate the great songwriter Jerry is when you start playing his music. I have you to thank for that with your guitar lessons. I learned how to play rooster and river of deceit from your channel! Thanks for all you do!
Hi Matt, Life ain´t so shitty is based out of Bm, G and A. The trick is to start playing the Bm when you say "shitty". it goes like this: Life ain´t so (Bm) shitty, and there´s a (G) lot that you can be and ain´t it a (Bm) pity, but it´s alright (G) to smile back me if we both go (A) there to count on (Bm) problems that we might not nece (G) ssarly come in contact (A) with if you don´t know where I coming from..
Yes!!!! Us covering in hiding in a few weeks to finish off the trifecta

I’m not opposed to it but DAMN I love the drum part to this

I tend to want to get the basics of a song down before I start on the details, and this version is a bit more practical from that standpoint. Thanks for posting this Ryan! Great as usual.

Wow awesome stuff Ryan! I really like the G -> better man chord -> F business. I can pretty much play this song from start to end now (who would have thought) --> Thanks so much!

Ryan whats your favorite Pearl Jam song from each album?
Porch, Rearviewmirrow, Corduroy, Off He Goes, Wishlist, Sleight of Hand, Can't Keep, Parachutes, Unthought Known, Sirens, are mine.
I love that question thank you Keith it's going right on that list!
I love “Elizabeth”, great campfire edition, there has to be more editions to do....?!?
more campfire editions, or more editions of in hiding? Surely there's endless campfire editions! I think I'd just have ukulele left on in hiding hehe. Elizabeth says "shux" :)
Ryan Lendt I was just trying to see if there were any more ways we could do “In Hiding”???
Gotta do a campfire version!

I appreciate that Sujit, thank you for being here :) Opeth is safely on the list for you!
Where would you rank Alice In Chains in terms of your favorite bands? Favorite AIC song?
You know... up there :) there are only three levels of my favorite bands: 1)pearl jam 2)the two dozen that are tied for second - usually marked by me knowing at least one band member's name (I know two in AIC so I guess they go here) and 3) the 5 dozen that are tied for third :) I like heaven beside you the best. Hey Ryan, do you ever play any Blind Melon? I'm looking for a tutorial on their song, "Life Aint So Shitty"
Thanks for chiming in Enrico! I need an easy one today. Maybe I'll do that one. Matt - I have done 3 blind melon songs so far :)

What a fucking confuse 😱😱😱
I mean it wasn't exactly a simple campfire version :)
Some times I laugh when you apologize for not getting it quite right the first time you do it. We all make mistakes now and then.
the camera gives me judging looks whenever I mess up ;)
Should have known better to try and watch this whrn It's just the little one and I.
It seems you and I have a lot in common in this regard...
Usually i learn from you but this video was confusing.
I'll take usually :) Good luck Jason
