Man that was beautiful, you have absolutely nailed that ..such a stunning riff ... when I heard it for the 1st time watching the show it gave me chills
Lovely stuff. Really well played. I'd suggest playing the guitar line through once or twice before breaking it down just to hear it and let us know how your interpretation sounds. This is pretty much note for note perfect. Thanks very much
I agree that it sounds a bit better DADAAD if you want to control the tone of the hammer so it doesn't ring out as much. That said, it sounds really tight. Job well done. Such a great riff!
Great video. I love that Eddie has brought attention to the song originally by The English Beat / Dave Wakeling. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Save_It_for_Later
I think you're making this harder on yourself, the original tuning for the song and also the Eric Clapton version is DADAAD, try it with that. You can do the hammer on and pull off on the high D with index and ring finger on 2nd and 4th frets. way easier and then it's just 2nd fret low A, 5th fret low D for the bass notes
Thanks! Yeah I kinda like that this is a somewhat simpler alternate tuning to achieve (coming from standard). I don't find it too hard, but good to know!
lol dude the eddie vedded version is exactly the pete townsend version (eddie loves the who) so you have it wrong just do DADAAD and do it right its so easy

Well there goes my G string, rest in peace guess I needed a restring anyway
I literally read this first thing and then did exactly the same 😅
Nicely done! Thank you so much for sharing this!

I've thought of this as well, thanks for the feedback! Trying to see if I can add a little intro video to the same upload.
Thank you!
