For those who don't know, Dune Imperium has released digitally on Steam in early access and is coming to consoles as well in the near future. Currently, only the base game is available with a tutorial, AI (which is amazingly fun to play against) + online play as well. The developers (Dire Wolf) already stated the expansions are coming in the future as well so be on the lookout for that :) Check it out!

I have been watching videos for games you have not done……confusion and anarchy, I say! I often leave them with more questions than answers. Thank you for what you do!
I agree, these tutorials are excelent in every way, i only wish we would get more solo tutorials in youtube because reading is hard and some of us dont have friends or want to play games that are basically abandoned or without players.

It's actually wrong I believe (at the least the first couple of times...he changes pronunciations partway through). It should be Tlee-lax, not Tlay-lax according to readings of the books that Frank Herbert did. In the 1984 movie, it was Bene Tly-lax, which sounds how the word is spelled (and was thus how I pronounced it in my head when I read the novels). In this video he used both Tlay-lax and Tly-lax-u (not really sure how you could get Tlay-lax out of that spelling though).
2 things I'm mention: 1. It's good to see Rodney back for a tutorial after Monque and Chaz got their tale. Maybe we'll see a tutorial with all 3 of your doing parts in the future. 2. This expansion is already on my wishlist. At least Dire Wolf has been pretty good with releasing Dune Imperium expansions each November since 2020 when the base game came out. I hope they'll continue releasing expansions for a long time, and release enough expansions to create a 1000+ Imperium card row, etc. By that point, they might want to think about releasing a series of different boards to replace the core game one based on which expansions you want to play as called "Dune Imperium Board Collection."
Dune Imperium seemed complete after the addition of Ix and I really wondered what they could possibly add to make it better. But after watching this video I can't wait to play it. Thank you!

I wish they'd just do a replacement board or an option for a playmat to replace the board. I'd order it if they had one. Thanks for the video. I preordered it as it looks like it will be fun.
My money is on next year when the sequel film comes out and we'll likely get a whole bunch of new leaders in an "Emperor"-themed expansion: Princess Irulan, Emperor Shaddam IV, Feyd Rautha, etc.
The Padishah Emperor and Irulan wouldn't really make sense as a leader here because there is already an Imperial faction. But I hope they will come up with some, I mean no one knows House Moritani yet we have 2 leaders, there are enough other houses to use.
I have a question not dune related tho, which board game do you think is the best designed and to play? Is there a board game you think is more well designed or more fun to play then dune ? Just curious :)
This might surprise you, but I don’t offer opinions on games that way. A game I really enjoy someone else might hate and something someone else adores might not work for me. I’ve just never been interested in trying to weigh in publicly on my opinions on game designs. That said, I hope through teaching several on the channel, you can get a sense of what games appeal to your tastes!

I saw that you put something to the backside on one of the cards "Bene Tleilax Lab" at 8:00. To make the card stand up withot you holding it. I am curious to know what it was.
Just had my first two play thru of the base game. Great system, my partner and I immediately wanted to re-rack and play again. Excited that there are expansions, but I feel like we still have plenty to discover first in the base game. Thanks for the video, your how to play for the base game helped us get it to the table much quicker - I was always struggle with teaching a game like this with so many interwoven mechanisms… like… where to start? Yes I agree that the original and Ix mix together pretty easy Ix helps "fix" some minor things but this expansion looks to be great if you are bored of the core mechanics and adds more to it

Love that shirt colouring. If you ever do a video for a cyberpunk game, need to wear it for the pink and blue. Even has white inside the blue to give a neon effect. Also, I don't see how you are getting cards to stay upright. When you swapped the cards at the graft explanation section, I didn't see how it's staying upright. Witchcraft!

In other words and in your first example (8:00), grafting a card with a graft keyword on another graft card does not stack, right, I can't end up with six or seven cards grafted all in one turn?

Wait, how dose those 2 cards stand up? He is not holding onto them, they hare not "Frozen" with CGI, when he touch the card move slightly. When he change cards there is no visible stand behind the cards, maybe a transparent glas that we don´t see?
I avoid personal recommendations, as what I enjoy might not suit someone else's preferences, so I prefer to teach the games and hopefully that still provides some useful information (in this case I also haven't played all of the expansions in enough different combinations frequently enough to have a personal opinion on this question anyway). All the best in your hunt for some advice!

This expansion looks a little more intriguing to me than the first. Might have to pick up this one. I notice that the cover of the core game appears to have changed. Are there any other changes with the core game like minor rules or artwork or is it just the cover that changed?
I think there's already a second edition out there so that might be it or there was different art for the deluxe edition (they didn't call it deluxe, but can't remember what they called it at the moment)
Alright, I got it. You have an empty box sitting on a table in front of you just below what the camera sees. The one you toss into the air, you don't bother trying to catch. You let it fall onto a pad or something on the ground, as you grab the other box so it appears right side up for the camera.

This is the deluxe box upgrade, you’ll find details about it online. No changes to game play.
